For those still trying to get the Toy Collector badge here is a helpfull hint. If you take out all the mobs that spawn from a naughty present except one Frostling ( minion ) and leave the next time you open a present at that spawn point and it says naughty you get no mob spawn ( unless someone has killed off the lone minion in the meantime ) and with stealth on you can get close enough to open a present even with a purple con minion there.
Obviously if you get purple spawns when you open a present you will need help to kill all but the one minion, but otherwise this works very well.

Or go to one of the PvP zones. All the winter guys spawn gray there. You have to work at getting them to notice you.
Of course then there's the PvPers, but I've managed to get three of my characters their toy collector badges so far! Not to mention the Siren's Song badge!
