  1. If you delte you should be able to create the toon again straight away. You sure you dont want to struggle on for another 10 levels to do the respec? From your planned build to make it easier you could drop Invincibility to 24 and get stamina 2 levels sooner then get the respec at 24 and sort out your power order.
  2. My oppinion of taunt is to get it at lvl 10.

    I think every tanker can handle all the aggro at that level that they can generate. Doing the respec tf with Ghostmaker (my lvl 26 Inv/Axe tank) recently I was taking most of the aggro when allowed to with only yellow SO's in my shields (proably equivilant of Do's in effectivness) we did have 2 team wipes that I remember. One was caused by a second group being aggroed and me not realising until too late as I was trying to consolidate the aggro of the first group so it was me the players fault not the tanks aggro handling abilities fault. The second in the reactor where I just couldnt cope with the number of mobs about which I would put down to a lack of damage and knowledge on the team.

    I would say that I coped ok with limited defences although Raz may be able to provide an objective view as he organised the respec.

    This would be the build I would choose for 2 reasons:

    1) S/L Resists are high for an Inv tank where as NRG/N NRG resists are not so resist energies works better as a power choice IMO.

    2) I prefer getting stamina at 20 just to ensure you can run toggles and fight without worrying about your end bar. If you worry about your end bar you are less likely to be worrying about peoples health bars.

  15. Widdershins is nasty. I general I dont have many problems with EB's on my MM. As far as I can remember the only 2 who have caused me too faceplant in the 40+ region were Widdershins and Pyriss.

    In your build you have left unyielding very late for me and also Dull Pain is lat on as well. Personally I wouldnt take fly as a travel power for a tank but thats up to you. Hover is better that Air Supp as you wouldnt really use either with Axe and hover doesnt tempt you to slot it like Air Supp can.
    Manucvers gives very little benefit so isnt worth it IMO, also the passives are not really required, the only one I always take is resist energies and depending on secondary maybe resist elements.

    1) Temp Inv and Gash
    2) Dull Pain
    4) Chop
    6) Travel Power pre requisite (for my inv/axe this was hasten)
    8) Unyielding
    10) Taunt
    12) Hurdle or Swift
    14) Travel power
    16) Health
    18) Invincibility
    20) Stamina

    My Inv/Axe tank is currently at lvl 27 and this has worked well, if you want I can post up my lvl 32 build as that is all I have worked out up to.

    So I dont run out of end I have 1st upgrade and second upgrade slotted with 2 end reds each, means I can fully buff without getting out of power message.

    Domm Fire/Fire.

    A brief summary of different power of a fire/ fire dom

    Fire/Fire is a very offensive Dom.

    Your main controls are:

    Char - Single Target Hold
    Cinders - AoE Hold
    Flashfire - AoE Disorientate

    THese will stop mobs attacking while they are in effect, they do have short durations especially Flashfire and some enemies can be resistant to these effects such as bosses and require multiple applications to effect them.

    Bonfire is a form of soft control, it is an AoE knockback which sends mobs flying backwards if they enter the area, this does limit incoming damage as mobs that are sent flying cannot attack until they regain their feet.

    Ring of Fire and Fire cages are immobilises which stop mobs from moving, they are useful in some situations but dangerous in others.

    All these forms of control have the magnitude and duration increased when the dominator inherant is charged and activated. The inherant is domination. You charge domination by attacking so it is worthwhile taking a reasonable number of attacks as although you dont do a lot of damage when domination is inactive as soon as you activate it you become more powerful. Fire/Fire Doms build domination extremely quickly so you will find that by being aggressive you will increase the effects of your controls alot. The fire secondary does not have power boost which would boost your control durations but instead has firey embrace which boosts your damage output instead. /fire also has an endurance recovery power which will allow you to regain endurance when it is used on enemies. The amount of endurance recovered depends on the number of enemies hit so it is a good idea to slot this power for accuracy and use on groups of enemies instead of single targets.

    If you want any more detailed advice it might be an idea to download a hero builder to choose your powers and how to slot them and post your build up on the forum for advice.

    AR/Dev Respec

    I currently have my first ever toon sitting at lvl 26. Hi is an AR/Dev blaster who currently has a very very very bad build. I would a prriciate advice on which powers are good and which are not so I can sort out a build for him.

    Also I would like answers on the following:

    1) Is teleport for for useful for pulling to mines and if so what are the chances of pulling an awkward mob such as a boss, or malta sapper onto the mines?

    2) How good is the auto turret? Is it worth getting recall friend to move it about?

    3) Is ignite any good in teams? Any tactical uses for it?

    4) Is hasten required for mine laying or can 3 recharges keep the laying managable?

    5) Can I get away with not slotting Accuracy into my attacks at a high level if I run targetting drone constanly?

    6) Any particularly useful powers for an AR/Dev blaster from the various pools?

    7) Stamina: Is it essential when running targeting drone and cloaking device all the time?

    8) Is it wise to slot attacks for range over either recharge or endurance reduction?

    9) Is time bomb useful or is it too unreliable for regular use?

    10) Is smoke grenade useful for stealthing and how big is the -to hit on it?

    11) Will cloaking device allow me to stealth missions or will I need either stealth or SS as well?

    Since you're level 7, try going to Perez Park to hunt Skulls instead. The are already weak against energy damage (Elec Blast deals energy damage) and they come in decent sized groups, sometimes pure minions, around the Galaxy City gate.

    After I hit lvl 8 today I went into Perez and by attacking groups of skulls with no bosses in I was quite safe assuming I did act a complete idiot and kill my anchor first. I was quite happily gaining half a bar per spawn when fighting either -1's or even level minions. I could even take out the small groups of 1 boss + 2 lt's or 2 bosses provided they were - 1 to me (even level bosses hurt too much with only 2 attacks). So I have now found my favourite zone for the next 4 levels or so.
  25. Currently playing a Rad/Elec defender. only lvl 7 so it may not count but I am having the most fun with this alt that I have had with any hero alt. I have not done one mission or teamed at all with it yet so cant comment on how effective it is for that but for sheer joy it cannot be beaten as far as I am concerned. For the last level I have been living in the hollows dropping Ri and EF on a mob of outcasts and then vapourising them with use of ball lightning.
