  1. Possibly the only other badge you could get would be the kill skulls one by killing skulls prisoners but I doubt they count towards the badge but it is still possible.

    Bots dont have any strong melee attack. They have one melee attack that does less damage than their ranged ones and it takes a while to recharge. The assult bot does have a flamethower but it is annoying when it uses it as any other attack will most likely do more damage.

    The Mercs powerset will never get full auto as it would be too unbalancing when compared to the other builds as the pattern has been set so to pick it up at lvl 8 would not be at all balanced. Flamethrower might be a posibility but that would be a lvl 8 power insetead of M30 however it would be unlikely to happen. The only way these sort of attacks would be possible to get for a MM is if they are part of the patron pool powers.

    In pvp Inv is a joke, turn on autobrawl and it drops farcically fast. With the inv set hold/stun res power on in pve though I havent ever been detoggled (I forget the name of it at 1.20am )

    As for being detoggled with INV: My inv tank has been only detoggled in PVE when facing 15 Tsoo green ink men (stupid mass stuns).

    I have done both I just thought I would offer to help if it is required asI have done both trials a couple of times and discovered that when Im paying attention I can actually be a benefit to the team. Plus I currently have a warburg missile on Doc which might help against the tree (nuke FTW _

  8. Looks fine, the toggles shouldnt be a problem with the amount of end reds in there. You may have to pop a CaB whenever you try to use force bolt a lot.

    Couple of points on slotting:

    1)Prot Bots - get a heal in there, my slotting is 1 Acc, 1 Dam, 1 Def Buff, 2 Heal and 1 dis dur. The heal is great because it means that the battle drones can be brought back from little to no health up to nearly full. Def buff helps with defense as the amount of toggles means that you wont be able to buff all your bots with shields.

    2)Suggest you change recal friends slot to either an end or a recharge. The range shouldnt be a problem.

    3) Not sure on det field as I havent got it yet but it looks ok although an extra accuracy might be useful against a red/purple boss.
  9. Cheers guys. Are there any experienced Ice/Ice tanks in the 1 AT coalition to give me any build advice when I need it as I have 2 tanks but both are inv/ ones so I may need some help.
  10. I keep on trying to get back into the heroes side of things. I got CoV as soon as it was out and I have been playing manical villains ever since which has caused me to get to the point where I can no longer face my exisitng heroes on defiant. So this is a request for some help in getting back into heroic mode.

    I have decided to use a union character slot from my second account for the new hero who I have decided will be an Ice/Ice tank and I would like some help with working through the missions in a nice team situation so if anyone has a low level hero on union and will be willing to put up with me through the trawl to 50 it will be greatly appriciated and if not can anyone suggest a sg or coalition where I might find very friendly individuals who are always up for teaming and who have members in the sub 10 range at the moment.
  11. I could try and persuade Master Zap into creating our base before saturady but I doubt hell go for it though. Another option is to invite a dagger boy along and see if confess can get us access to there base.

    Merc/pois build

    for Aid other Ideal slotting is 2 heal, 2 interupt and 2 rechrage. if you can only spare 4 slote gp 1 heal, 1 interrupt and 2 recharge. Interrupts means you can use in combat and the recharge mean that you can heal more than one henchmen when you start getting in trouble. Heals are a luxory as with 1 heal SO I heal about 60% of first tier henchmans health in one go.

    Dont plan over lvl 40 yet.

    Enhancements - dont slot more than 3 of the same in the same power.

    Power choices:

    Get repair at 18 and slot it for 3 recharge.
    Stealth isnt really worth it as in PVP most people will see through it and in PVE you pets will take aggro and you will have PFF later on. I would get assult or manuvers or maybe aid other at lvl 10.
    Prot Bots I would change the slotting as they are more usefull keeping people stunned and bots healed. Mine are currently 1 Acc 1 DefBuff 2 Heal 1 Dam 1 Dis.
    Lose hasten as you dont need it unless you really want 2 travel powers and SS isnt that great with pets as they will follow if you have them summoned.
    Aid self is usefull as your bots dont heal you.
    Resucitate is good if you team a lot as you have a power button which a lot of other healers dont.
    Grant invis is only good if you team.

    I have a build that is similar to the one yours would be if you take the above advice and you can come and watch me do a mission if you want to see how effective it is G Chat is @Dr E Genius

  15. AFAIK it increase the range of attacks. All the enhances affect the henchmen not the power which is why there is no recharge rate option.

  17. There maybe another solution and that is to get rid of all the default macros and create custom ones so instead of attack aggressive. You set everyone bar the medice to aggressive attack and have the medic as defensive follow. This would mean that you keep the majority of the damage output but have the medic lasting longer and therefore keeping the other guys on their feet longer. It would also give you a last line of defense in that if something nasty gets with HTH range the medic can start blasting away covering either your retreat or helping protect the main combat dealers.

    Thats interuptable and no good in battle plus it would be 2 power choices to get that which I cant afford.

    Just FYI - if you slot it with two Interrupt Reduction SOs, it can heal inbetween DoT ticks of damage.

    Dont know for sure but as long as I am not under a DoT attack my MM can use heal other to heal a pet in combat and one of my friends who is a fire/thermal corruptor has both heal other and aid self just to make it easier on her in big fights.

    I agree with Zap on most things. Some more detailed advice:

    Lose M30 Grenade - its like the AR one and its is absolutely useless. THe only thing it is good for is getting yourself killed.

    Get Soldiers at lvl 1. These guys should be getting all the slots ASAP as at below 12 they are your main damage output. Drop the heal enhancers from them as only the medic can use heal and he seems to be the suicidal one as he has very short range weaponary and is the one to die first.

    Pick either slug or burst at low level - I prefer slug to burst as it does more damage. Get either evenom or weaken at lvl 4 and the other at lvl 8.

    Equip should be got ASAP that means lvl 6.

    Lvl 10 is where you should pick up hover if your going for fly.

    Spec Ops at lvl 12 is a must.

    Lvl 14 for fly.

    After that it becomes a matter of choice for which powers to take when. Just some points. I would get Commando and tactical upgrade as soon as possible. your secondary should be evenly mixed with pool powers as too many pool powers will leave you vulnerable and the choice of your secondary powers will really depend on if you team a lot as things like the elixa of life dont affect henchmen.

    All the above points are from my experience as a mastermind with bots/ff. I have played a mercs poison upto lvl 6 to get a hang of all the different sets. Also I have had experience of the 3 attacks in the Merc primary personally as I have an AR/Dev blaster who has learnt mediocre AoE's mean death.
