  1. Thanks very much for posting this. So, does the colour thing mean we can make black looking fire? Or rather, make any of the other powers look close to the current dark powers?
  2. Wow, that was... quicker than i had imagined!

Yay, go Devs and go super sekrit beta testers!

    *sigh*

I'm still hoping for some kind of Archery Blaster secondary that doesn't send the powers team into fits of uncontrollable pointing and laughing at my expense.

There's got to be SOME kind of thematic match to Archery for Blasters. I hate having to break theme. Every other power makes no sense---to me, at least. Maybe something in the new list of PPs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

A Martial Arts secondary for Blasters would work quite well with Archery/Ar/dual pistols (particularly if they made the attacks not cause redraw)
  4. What about a 'binding circle' type power. Puts a circle on the floor, inside which your demons get buffed in some way. Pretty powerful buff but... none of your demons can enter or exit the circle once it is established (until it times out or you dismiss it). So, you have to use it at the right times and make sure that your demons are positioned correctly.
  5. Technically against the rules (the same as with married couples and family members).

However, the wording of the warning seems to be much more "People have been trying to say someone else was on their account and got them banned. Please be aware this excuse won't let you off".

In reality, there is absolutely no way for them to tell if more than one person uses an account. Even if you post here, saying that you do!

When *I* think of super science stuff, I instantly think of Mr. Fantastic, Galactus, The Watcher, Elders of the Universe,

    [/ QUOTE ]
Mr. Fantastic ok, but the others aren't science. They're Cosmic.

    [/ QUOTE ]

More relevantly, they are "Natural." Whatever the Natural origin may have meant back in 2004, what it means now is characters whose powers come to them just for being who they are and aren't in any way special for them. Gulliver's size and strength would have been viewed as a natural super power in the land of little people, despite him being just an average man, say.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think Galactus would be Science, possibly, considering he was fairly normal til he survived the end of his universe.

Know what would help make the wait fly by? I16 News!

  10. We could probably do with a super leadership/personality (de)buff set for MMs, Corrupters, Controllers and Defenders.

I think Mind control is pretty close to a 'natural' control set.
  11. Very cool idea, makes so much sense and should be pretty easy to do.

    New inspiration

One quite often suggested insp would be an anti-debuff one. Instead of increasing anything it would help stop enemies reducing you instead.

That’s not enough variety to provide interesting encounters for an entire story arc. While it would have been very cool to use them, we didn’t have the resources available to expand the group in a way that would let us use them for the missions.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Have you tried the custom critter creator in the MA? It's quite versatile and quick and easy to use

But seriously, thanks for the responces they are much appreciated, and I look forward to trying the finalised TF/SF.

Isn't that the point of persecution? I mean, bearable persecution would be pretty rubbish, like they weren't trying hard enough.

Was waiting for a smart [censored] remark about it. I don't see how you could have made anything dirty out of what I said. Next time, I wont say a thing and you can find out for yourselves when the servers are up.

I am just incapable of resistng a badly crafted innuendo.

My, my. The community is slipping. Positron let slip out a new tidbit about Going Rogue. And no one caught it except for my of course.

    From the interview:[ QUOTE ]
Matt Miller: I can’t release much information yet. Hopefully the name alone, Going Rogue, provides a good foreshadowing to what the game will encompass. But among other things there will be new zones, the ability to switch a hero to a villain and vice versa, and difficult tasks for level 50 characters to do that make them more powerful.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Note the part I highlighted. Recall the 10 Universal Slots from the Survey from last August and Castle comments about having other tricks up their collective sleeve instead of more levels. I'm not even implying it's the Universal slots from the survey, but I believe we have confirmation of a new advancement system.

erm, that's actually been quoted at least twice so far...

CoV wasn't even out of the door for them to think about side switching.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Actually, they were discussing side switching in CoV Beta. They even had some plans for the redemption/corruption path to involve the descision whether or not to kill a rogue Longbow agent. Though, I am sure that has long since changed.
  19. Though if Infamy is now money, they really add a massive bonus to those bank robbery missions...
  20. New Boomtown Interview with Posi

Mostly "Can't answer that" answers, but some info:

Like Praetoria will be multiple zones, GR will have new difficult things for 50s to do to make themselves more powerful. Also,

If you are talking about the comic-book inspired genre, I can tell you that that we are working on something we think will keep City of Heroes on par or better than our competition.

  21. Well, if they only provided security and the Protectors in the Isles, they would look like a heroic group. Sending agents after Villains, having their caped heroes turn up to stop roberies, Powered armoured folks patroling the streets etc...

Then you play Blueside and find out where exactly those caped guys come from...

Its too late at this point, but would have been cool.
  22. I think there is a mission saying that some of them think of themselves as heroes.

Also, i really wish Crey were presented purely as Heroic in CoV, would be great and also make it interesting for people who play Redside first, then switch to Blue.
  23. On villainside, I'd kind of like to see the Outcasts as a heroic group to fight. Theres an underlying theme of the Outcasts trying to be heroes but taking things too far, but that could work well in the Isles.

My favorite to see is when people just type "+1". It's supposed to mean "I agree with your idea!" but I always read it as "Hey, up goes my post count!"

    +1 !!!!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Really? I though the actual meaning was "Hey, up goes my post count even though I know this thread will be deleted!"
