Quote:Actually, you don't. You are forced into the situation of people percieving you as supporting the Resistance, but it doesn't have to affect your characters motivations/actual alliegence. This is explict in the ingame text, since the 'true' resistance choice (as defined by the resistance leader) is to kill Cleo. That little symbol you have next to your character is what people think about you, not what you think.Part of the problem is the binary nature of moral choices in Praetoria. If I help Cleo, I HAVE to swap over to the Resistance. I can't just say "I want to protect Praetoria, but so do you. Run away and never come back." Sure, that might come back to bite me in the end, but as long as no-one but Cleo knows, why not? Why can't I kill Washington, save her and STILL stay a Loyalist? Just because I respect ONE person in the resistance, it doesn't mean I believe in their cause, but the way choices are made, I HAVE to.
This extends to mean that any of the motivations given to your character in the stories must be percieved motivation. Its what other people think your reasons are for doing what you do. Because, if you are undercover, the text is obviously not true. -

Quote:Sounds reasonableHere's the only catch:
You'll have to respec to take advantage of it on existing characters.
Characters as they exist now, will only get the Inherent Fitness powers if they do not have any of them in their build. Conversely, if you don't you get them as Inherents and never get the option to select them as pool powers., are they going to unlock automatically at the same levels as now?

Quote:From what i've read, it seems to be a money thing. All the other presenters get to profit off of top gear with their DVDs, other programmes, books, public appearances. But the guy who plays the Stig can't.Indeed it is. I don't understand why he felt it was necessary to do this(maybe to sell his book...).
On the other hand, it really doesn't matter who the Stig is, its not that interesting (its never going to turn out to be Bill Clinton or Bruce Campbell or Red Rum or Elvis or anyone you have ever heard of). Its the fact that almost no-one knows who he is that makes it interesting. So, they can just get a new Stig, and it'll still have the same mystique. -
Sounsds cool, I'm going to have to try my hand at this one

Redo 'Ubelmann the Unknown' to a) be about the 5th Column and the nazis again and b) to have a new final mission where you follow him through the portal into a new map with custom enemies.

You should have been iintroduced to 2 people by Scott. Those are your contatcs. unfortunately, you have to speak to them again after the mission is finished, they don't get added to your contact list. Go back and speak to them and they will give you missions. One will be in the Resistance base in the underground, there other is somewhere near the magisterium.

Quote:Sideswitching is new content, about 150ish missions. Enough so that you can go from hero to villain and back again every 10 levels (starting at level 20) without repeating a single mission.Side switching is great, but I don't see it as opening any new content. I've run everything on both sides over and over with tons of alts and doing it on opposite sides with newly switched characters is...meh
Now it may be you don't like the content, which is fine, thats your opinion. But you can't say it is not there. -
Quote:And any sufficiently advanced magic is indistinguishable from technology.I would argue that the Power Cosmic is magic over science. Any sufficiently advanced technology (which science is the basis of) is indistinguishable from magic.
I'd go Science more though, if only because Galactus has more technological trappings. -
I'm all for adding a tailor to the tuorial and for more costume slots, but not for any sort of limited 'plain clothes' costume slot. Its not needed, if someone wants to have a plain clothes costume, they can use a regular costume slot. No need to try and force that on anyone.

It also had Bulk and Skull, and therefore wins.

It would be nice if you could do them whilst still on a team, but each team member goes into their own individual instance and makes their choice (without breaking up the team)

Quote:It needs to be a two parter! Or a TV movie. Or a Summer Blockbuster! That would be one of the best crossovers ever. Just because BATB Bats would just run with it. The question is, who'll visit who? On one hand, have the Scooby gang in Gotham has potential, on the other, it'd be fun to see them investigate this mystery of the Bat-Man. Fred will either be annoyed or impressed when they try to trap him.
They should also have a Captain Caveman episode! -
There is some speculation that he is the Praetorian version of The Center.

There was quite a good (in myopinion) suggestion to reduce or even eliminate the recharge on rest. It wouldn't really effect the difficulty of anything (since if you could have used rest, you could have just stood their waiting), but there would be less waiting.

They said in some interviews that the well of the furies was just one way to become an Incarnate, apparently Hamidon is an Incarnate too.

Quick tip for this (though doesn't excuse the site not giving you the options, and the Devs have been made aware of it)
In the store, click on the item you want to buy. In the url of that page you'll see an item number, subtract 2 from this number (so if it says item_id=208, change it to item_id=206) and go to that page. In the majority of cases, that will be the US version of the item you were looking at.
EDIT:
Oh, and here is the link for the US version of the expansion -
Quote:The RP argument doesn't hold much water, since as you say:And this WHOLE THING is a pointless derailment of this thread's actual purpose, which was to suggest a way for a hero to unlock a patron pool without having to go through the tedious and potentially RP-breaking process of becoming a full villain and turning back to full hero, which only one guy didn't even disagree with, just noncommitally said probably wouldn't happen because of some nebulous reason that he thinks he knows what the devs are thinking.
Quote:As for the Patron Pools, the names and effects of the powers might be the same as elsewhere, but they're specially in canon the result of Arachnos tech or magic.
Surely, if characters want to have the bitter fruits of evil, they should be prepared to sow the seeds of evil to get it?
If you can just get the powers indendantly, then it makes the Villains look even more like chumps for sucking up to the Patrons, when they could have just got the powers themselves.
So, adding the arc to unlock them for Heroes without having to go red side would mainly just be for parity's sake (which is a cool-sounding word) -

Heroes and Villains can't get to Praetoria at the moment. War Witch confirmed that they will be able to, at some point in the (near) future.
