  1. Yep, pretty much Kryptonite armour.

Actually, The Iron Man armour modified to be powered by Kryptonite(like Metallo) and emit Kryptonite raditation and integrated with a Mother Box should do it.

    EDIT:

Or maybe a Dr Vasz style meatsuit made out of Kryptonian corpses?

Or possibly if you wore The Destroyer, since thats impervious and magic.

They have already delivered on that quote in I20.5:

    Quote:
Alpha Slot Vouchers are a boon if you prefer to play alone. Once one of your characters completes an Incarnate Trial, you can purchase and use an Alpha Slot Voucher.
That counts as: '...alternative ways to experience the Incarnate System, especially options that are more accessible to solo players and small groups...'
  3. This is a good idea, but I don't think its likely to ever happen. Ages ago they were planning a 'City Vault' site, where people could browse characters, see their badges etc... through a web browser. From what I remember it was cancelled because once they got into it they found out that connecting to the game servers like that was very difficult/caused lots of problems.

Of course, things change and anything is possible, but I wouldn't get my hopes up about it happening anytime soon.

You are right, absolutely nothing in game that matches that description at all.

Because costumes, emotes, emblems and auras are not (and should not be considered) loot?
  6. No, seriously. Go see it. Its really, really good.

Just a reminder, the item code of the US version is always 2 digits lower than the EU one. In this case the EU is 415, so the US is 413. Just change that number in the URL and you get to the right item. Works for all the packs.

Makes it much easier to sidestep the silly website.
  8. Its amazing! Sooooo good. Probably better than X2. Maybe. Not sure yet. But, wow.

I'm not really sure why that is a bad idea. The Incarnate System has character progression and badges. No reason to tie a bunch of generic auras/emotes/emblems/costume pieces to it.

I believe the new dialogue options only appear for characters who have successfully completed one of the Incarnate Trials.
  11. You should probably make it clear that this is a suggestion of yours (could be confusing to people otherwise), and probably ask for it to be moved to the suggestions forum.

Cool. Whats the estimated number of Incarnate merits required to unlock them?
  13. Just a heads up, and its not in the patch notes yet, but I just got Avid Reader for going through the new conversation tree with Prometheus on beta.

The item is attached, and you can claim it on as many characters as you wish. The Certificate doesn't expire, unlike other mails. You can delete the Certificate on any character after you claim it and not before, but the certificate will still show up for other characters, even characters you create after you have made the purchase.

The auras you purchase via Incarnate Merits are available to be applied to a character even if you haven't unlocked general auras on that character yet, much like the auras from Booster Packs, even if you are level 1.

There are also items called Vouchers that work in a similar way, but they can be used only once by any one character on your account. Vouchers use the same interface, but once they are claimed on one character, they are no longer available to any other character. One example is that for 10 Astral Merits you can buy a Voucher that will let you unlock capes or auras early on any one character. Log into the character to claim the voucher.

(Just to be sure, I went on our internal server and tested all of this to be sure before posting since I knew I wouldn't hear the end of it if I was inaccurate!!)
Thanks for clarifying, and that certainly is better than having to buy them individually.

However, the certificate thing does seem an odd way of doing it. Why not just make them true account unlockables (like the booster pack items), so that they can be accessed in the inital character creator? Instead of having to make a costume, log in, claim the certificates you want, then go to a tailor to apply them.
  17. And after about half an hour, helping take down a Goliath Warwalker in Atlas park and defending the Steel Canyon University, Darkspeed met his end when Marauder defeated him at Royal Overlook. (I didn't actually see it happen, as lag was so bad, but the combat log says he got hit with Nova Fist)

Honestly, not a fun experience in terms of gameplay (it was more a slide show) but hey, I got a badge!

This is a very odd question. How many mask clad characters can you create before that gets boring? How many characters with retro belts can you make before that gets boring? So far, hasn't got boring in 7 years.

The major selling point of costume pieces is that... they are p[ieces. Making a bunch of characters with just the full Incarnate set might get dull after a while (though having a set of multicoloured Mighty Morphin' Inarnate Rangers might be quite fun). But multiply that by how many costumes you could make that look good with the Incarnate shoulder pieces? Or Incarnate boots? Or incarnate gloves? or any of the other pieces?
  19. I was looking to see what characters I had available for tonights invasion on Freedom and I found this character:

I made him on the first day of the 3-day headstart, Sunday 25th of April 2004, but realised I had chosen the wrong server (I had meant to choose Victory, where the other EU people would be playing)

So, he has been offline for over 7 years. Tonight, I think its fitting that he comes out of retirement to fight some Praetorians!

So they aren't account unlocked? Thats disapointing.

I think the badge is pretty safe, I doubt Black Pebble would approve someone posting a message that could be summed up as: 'Not enough people were interested in playing our big anniversary event to make it worthwhile'.
