Apparently, it does to the Devs, what with the new Signature Arcs and all.
  2. They said on facebook today that they wouldn't be selling badges.

Though this suggestion would get around it. You wouldn't be buying a badge, merely getting a badge as a result of buying something else.

    Sounds good, thank you
  4. I asked about this on the Facebook Freedom Friday thingy and got the following reply:

We do not plan on selling badges.
  5. Reasonably interesting answers so far: (The Q&A is focussed on Paragon Points)

Also, just so you all know, your points will never expire, even if you're NOT a VIP player. You'll continue to receive a stipend of 400 points while you're a VIP, but if you become a Premium player, you KEEP those points you've earned.

We don't currently have plans for a "gifting" option, however we do know it's a requested feature.

Caleb Ungent - Is there anyway to earn paragon points while playing the game. Like for completing a rlly tough task force.

@Caleb Ugent - We have no current plans for this
    I did ask:
Can you tell us anything new about Paragon points or things we can buy with them, that hasn't already been released/discussed?

but that one hasn't been answered :-(
  6. Anything with a story I can follow.
  7. I was going to (I never played sheilders), but then decided to wait til I21, so i could experience the new new player experience on brand new powersets... Though thinking about it, I'll probably make a Time Manipulation character for that.
  8. I won't mind a new iTrial every issue (some people seem to like them) but I would prefer that they be better designed. It seems these 3 were all designed at the same time, so they all suffer the same weaknesses (and I assume the upcoming 4th one will be the same).

The design should focus on the fact that they are repeatable content (Just like the Hami/Mothership/Newspaper/Radio etc...). That means that the 'story' you can tell with them is more limited to 'Heres a threat, we have to keep beating it down/delaying it otherwise its gonna destroy us all/do bad things'. Also, since they are repeatable, that means people are going to be doing them over and over, so it might be smart to add some random variations so its not exactly the same each time.

Basically, to my mind Trials are a terrible way of telling a story and I hope all the various plottwists and resolutions for the Praetorian storyline aren't wasted on them. Have them in as gameplay elements, give them fun, epic looking stuff in them to do and call it a day.

    Also,
    1) Don't just randommly gate stuff behind them because you don't have any more real Incarnate rewards ready yet

    and

    2) If you refuse to do 1) at least find a way so that any costume pieces/auras/emotes you gated can truly be unlocked globally rather than through the clunky certification system. That way at least you minimise the annoyance caused.

    This is all very cool.

Will the Praetorian tutorial be getting a loading screen comic too? To introduce players to what Praetoria is all about?

    No thanks.

The other ideas are ok though.

I loved that comic. Almost as good as when he beat up the X-Men in Secret Wars

Unfortunately they use the new clunky certifications to do this.

The name might need some changing.

Well, yes. The lag on that server would be terrible and there would be queues all the time!
  16. Hmm... from the wiki, it seems that pretty much any NPC Hero/Villain might be counted as Signature: http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Hero_Slayer_Badge

    Thats good.

I hope not. Hopefully they will eventiually cover the whole level range.

I also hope that they'll be liberal with what they mean by 'Signature' hero, to make arcs featuring the lesser know/used NPCs.

Anyhow, yep. in that case we would be. Level 4 teaming with a level 50? You are, essentially by definition, a sidekick.
  19. Yeah, its an ok idea. Certainly something they could add to the Paragon Market.

  21. Yes, I agree. It sounds pretty fair and certainly a big improvement on people having to wait 3 years to wear boxing gloves.

    Also, from this:

You don't even need to spend these Reward tokens to get the unlock.
It seems like there is an additional set of rewards/perks based on how many other rewards you have recieved. It's a reward system for a reward system!

Yes, there is. You can choose to not have the run portion of speedboost affect your character (amongst other things). It is a toggle option that activate/deactivate by going to talk to a seagull in pocket D.

That last bit is not a joke.

I alsways do that too, I have to keep reminding myself that they are talking about that other, less famous Chris Evans.
  24. Its all still stuff that has nothing to do with incarnates, locked behind doing the same 2-3 bits of content over and over and can't even be properly globally unlocked (so you can use them when making new characters).

So, still has no interest for me.
