i thought i'd briefly ressurect this old thread of mine to thank all those who've said nice things about my colouring-in during my time in Paragon, and also to all those i've had great fun playing with.

i've decided to take a break from the cape for a while, and am not renewing my sub when it runs out this month.

i really have enjoyed playing the game, but have become a little jaded with it, and whether it's that experience has made it so, or recent issues have smoothed out the experience curve, i'm finding the game too easy now.

my plan's to take a couple of months off then return, so until then, goodbye & have fun

it's been a while since i posted anything here, as i've been caught up in both another project and some work, but here's a quick go at Sylvana

i like your work jenbot. for me, the creative process is important and fun, and that feeling of enjoyment in what you're doing shines through.

were i to offer any advice, it would be to draw, draw and then, perhaps, draw. the more you do, the better you get. i'm not a huge fan of the 'how to' books, as i think they teach a style of drawing, rather than actually how to draw. drawing from life is, in my opinion, vital, as it teaches you to look properly. any artist needs an understanding of how things work, how they're put together.

having said all that, we're only doing colouring-in here, and it should be fun, and the major certainly is fun

I have to agree with PRAF here too. I don't really understand how folks are calling the VEAT boring on the basis of a 4 min video.

Aside from that, and re-cycled powers/animations not withstanding, what made the hero epics new and fun for me was not the powers themselves, but rather the new arcs. Whole new storylines. In my opinion, that's what makes the epics.

i'm a simple 2D soul i'm afraid, but i'd expect it's something like 'do the basic model in poser, then bring it into photoshop for the fancy stuff'. sorry i can't help

i feel i should also, if not apologise then explain the drop in illustrative quality of the last two pages. I simply haven't had time to work them up more fully, having had to spend time doing real work
