I'd probably go Elec or Power mastery for the big hitting melee attack. PBU won't do a lot for you at all but Force of Nature might be interesting for a Kin too.
*Edit : Just saw your reason. Wouldn't going the Elec Route and getting Thunder Strike be a better option? -

I was also considering Rad, or Ice... the damage from Ice Storm and Blizzard far out weighs sonic, but the -res from howl is very nice. Then I could also go for -res procs in the Rad powers but then thats only a chance for
Sooo........ What's going to be most effective? I'm planning on a flyer with ranged softcap. -
I was thinking about making a toon to buff a team to extraordinary levels of damage... can anyone think of something that could better a Kinetic / Sonic, I think Damage cap, speedboosted along with a -res Cone should cover it, or is there a better way??
Ta... anything else btw that can increase this combo effectiveness, I was thinking -res proc from pvp set in a PbAoe power. -

Quote:Ye, i use mine in pvp too tho, 4 procs and 2 Rech, place 5 infront of me and I can drop a tank without even setting the bots or mines on it... plus the 10 sec pulse means the procs fire over and over again.My personal preference is to slot PGT for enh values and set bonuses. While Traps can be a monstrous procbeast, I'd rather get bonuses and use my primary (Fire) for damage. Going for a lot of recharge allowed me to pump out my high damage/AoE powers from my primary and have my secondary powers up asap.
I can see proccing being a more tempting choice for primaries that don't have as much absurd damage as Fire, but not at the cost of enhancing the core aspects of a given power. Damage procs are nice in PGT, but maxing the rech and getting good acc/hold comes first.
What I went for was 5 Unbreakable Constraints. Best damage proc possible in it, great acc/hold/rech and great bonuses. -
Ok, fair enough.. I do consider myself a bit of a mids guru also, however I haven't played a Corr before and thats the reason I ask for advice on what to aim for regards slots, Here is where I am up to myself.

Poison trap is one if the strongest powers in the game, PbAoe Auto hit! 2 Recharge and 4 Damage procs, stack em on the floor and draw the AV to you.
If you are a trapper don't run in, Lure is the aim of the game. -
Hey i'm trying to build a teaming friendly DP/Kin, loadsa rech would be nice for the Aoe's and fulc etc, but i seem to run out of slots... few power im skipping, and a few i love and want i made a list below... Could anyone that has experience with this sort of toon please help bu throwing a rough biuld together I can tweak ??
Skippable powers are;
Pistols
Suppressive Fire
Piercing Rounds
Repel
Must have's are;
All Kin powers other than repel
Empty Clips
Bullet Rain
Swap ammo
Executioner's Shot
Hail of Bullets
Travel powers are optional, i'd probably skip em as I will be using Inertial Reduction with Ninja Run. <-- that combo is WOW btw.

Elec: 2 Gremlins that have a weak Jolting Chain attack, but otherwise no AoE.
Fire: Imps have no AoE powers, but there are three of them and their melee attacks do more damage than many other pets
Gravity: Singy's Repel is AoE (kinda) and does no damage, but no other AoE powers.
Ice: Jack's only AoE is Chilling Embrace, which also does no damage.
Illusion: Phanty has a Torrent Cone that can hit up to 10 foes. Plus, there are three Phantom Army guys, if you count that as AoE, but their attacks are all single target.
Mind: No pets
Plant: Twoey has Fling Thorns, a cone that can hit up to 10 foes.
Thus, Illusion probably wins depending on your definition of "AoE Damage." However, until the pet bug that causes Pets to run into melee is fixed, Phanty is a bit suicidal. He is supposed to stay at range to fire off his cone and blast, but he currently tries to run into melee to get his ghosty butt killed. The greater amount of "AoE" for Illusion offsets the fact that Illusion Control has no AoE damage powers.
The main problem with "AoE" from pets is that they don't use it with any smarts -- Phanty and Twoey will throw their cones at single targets and make no effort to line up foes in a cone. -

That's what happens. I'm guessing youre a zoner if you play a regen, and aid self won't help in zone. The plant time and suppression will make you take more dmg than itll heal. Just get phase, hit it when the dmg starts coming in, and then hit your heals. It's not hard. -

Either way, if you were fiteklubbing, it's stupid because Regen doesn't die anyway and in the time after the heal, you're doing no damage, standing there finishing an animation.
