Nope, I believe it reset the whole mish as the mission was never truly completed. I'm actually hoping I'm wrong here. As for time, Friday is good for me, after 5pm EST atleast.
Doc M -
and I support every ones post
. Glad you guys are still having fun doing this. I may be able to make a random appearance again if ya need an extra hand, going into busy time in my line of work but finally finished training all the new little LP helpers so that should free up some game time for me.
Doc M -
Unfortunately guys I am going to have to bid farewell to the static team. my work schedule has shifted to a rather unpredictable time frame for the future
. I have enjoyed teaming with all of you and wish you continued success in the quest for Justice.
Doc M -
I'm good with you guys finishing it. I know you put the time in and shouldn't waste that for the few of us who had to miss last week.
-
Just a heads up for everyone. I may miss tonights event, got a meeting with a district and regional manager about expanding my current role within the company I work for. Not sure how long the meeting will last but it's scheduled for 6pm est so I may miss entirely. If I'm not there by start time go ahead and go without me, sorry bout the short notice but just got the email this morning.
Doc M -
Nice idea on the badge, cant remember if I grabbed it already but will if I haven't. As for next week, a work commitment is keeping from that one so kick a lil backside for me and give a shout as to a level range for the next one.
On a last note, should have my PC fixed by that time also(I hope) will have time Monday to transfer and wipe the HD.
-
Doc the tank is sittin at 12 and taunting away. I may still have the DC problem as I was unable to do what I needed to my computer this week, looking to buy an external HD for some items I don't want to lose(250 gigs worth of music, movies and photos)
-
Well on a good note, I should have my PC fixed or will after I restore it and turn it into just a game rig
. At level 12 I'll have all 3 armors, taunt and regen. I'll be able to hold aggro and we'll be fine, will be putting off travel powers though till 26 to make sure I get fitness in there and my fear powers between 14-22.
If anyone wants to get their toons to 12 by Tuesday give me a shout and I'll help out, and as for influence, I have a toon that has access to it if anyone needs it. -

Logged out at lvl 9.7. Made a quick side-trip to Steel Canyon to trade out pink for blue (much more PPD) and waiting excitedly back in KR. I really think the team was starting to pull together. Too bad we were missing that tank
One thing that last night did was confirm my sense that sleep wasn't going to be much use with so many people. I'm skipping my first AoE because its a mass sleep. We're just too good and too many.

Just a thought about my favorite mind tactic. Deceive any embalmed that you come across so they blow up on their own. I love doing that
-
Was having major mapserver DC's then when the final one hit I couldn't log back in till after 10pm. Had to reboot whole computer. Should be able to catch up by Tuesday and hopefully figure out the problem.

Right, Doc and his gimpy tank will be there laying the shadowy beatdown on the sewer rats
[/ QUOTE ]
With all the buffs this team is carrying I don't think it will be possible for your tank to be gimpy
[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe @ lvl 2 it will be...
[/ QUOTE ]
My guess is gimped until level 8 for dark regeneration or mid 20's for when I can fit stamina in -

only that I wont be using the chest emblem since it would make my suit look retarded and hinder its solar power colection

Not this again, stutter flash back. j/k. My tanks look is pretty set in stone also but thought I'd throw out there for any takers.

Does guildportal really make things easier? Ive never touched the thing myself, so i have no real opinion on that matter.
[/ QUOTE ]
Guildportal is a website host. Allows you to make webpages for free with ads on them. Kinda like having your own SG page.
Onto another topic I just thought about. The Avengers of Justice is going to be an SG, correct? If you would like I can go ahead and create it and have it ready to go for the group by tuesday so we can start gaining prestige right off the bat, then remove that toon from it. Figure classic SG vibe, old red, white and blue with the shield emblem. Any thoughts? -
[ QUOTE ]
I have a couple of questions I'd like to ask the eight "official" members of the Avengers of Justice.
* It sounds like for the first run we will have all eight members. In the future, however, if some people have to miss what should we consider a "quorum"? In other words, how many do we need to have present to continue with that night's session? Of course, whoever is present could always run missions, but I am talking about pressing forward with a scheduled TF. My first thought is four, but I'd like to hear what you guys think.
* I have been toying around with the idea of using Guild Portal to form a web site to use to make announcements and stuff for the team as opposed to using the main CoH forum. Any thoughts on that?
[/ QUOTE ]
First about the how many. If some of us miss out the on a planned event due to circumstances beyond or even in our control I say press on. If 3 show and 5 miss, then the 3 can kick some serious backside for those that missed out and gloat about it when we return. Just for the record, I'll be missing one such game night so feel free to gloat about it to me.
Second, guild portal sight. Sure, kinda makes sense so we can post a lil easier and plan things out better. -

Doc makes a great point, as well as Kilroy from the other similar thread. What's so bad about having two groups running concurrently, doing the same missions... perhaps forming a "coalition" of sorts. The chances that something happens that sideswipes us from meeting at the "same bat time, same bat channel..." every week are pretty high. To have the ability to form two groups of four or more if needed, might not be a bad solution, rather than limiting our potential by ousting someone.

I have no objections to a second team forming. However, because of real life stuff I probably wouldn't be able to commit to a second team meeting once a week. The original idea for this team was to help people (like me) with relatively limited time in a given week to play to get through content they might not otherwise be able to get through in that limited time. That, and little story/RP fun thrown in.
Also, because this team will probably have to "park" mid-TF from time to time between weeks, I would prefer that if anyone on this team joins a second static team that a new toon would be rolled. Likewise, since any given week we may be picking up "mid-TF" being able to reliably promise reserves a slot might be problematic. Remember, the team was originally going to be five (one for each AT). It expanded to eight to account for potential absences each week. Having said that, I have no objections to "reserves" keeping tabs on us to see if a spot is open any given week.
Also, to avoid confusion, if a second team does form I would prefer it if the logistics of that be worked out in another thread. Just so people don't get confused over which team is doing what and meeting when. Particularly when people start having to announce absences or when we vote on what we want to tackle on a given week, it might get a little confusing if we are juggling two teams on one thread.
Just my thoughts.
[/ QUOTE ]
My idea for the second team was due to the amount of responses that we had that came just a bit late. I got the idea from UB's original thread from someone that posted there and stole it. I do agree about posting it on a different thread and also about time commitments, hence I would suggest a different time but keep the two slightly intertwined for team sake.
-
Just a heads up, I created a public channel for anyone/everyone already signed up or interested called Static Team. In case anything comes up that may want to be shared. just join up and give a shout
-
Well then looks like the 8 are now 1 but what to do with those who responded a bit later then the rest, how about a second team of brave heroes to combat the evils that walk the world.
Just a thought not sure if it's possible to do on the same night in case of missing heroes and such or take a different night and build on the group. That would allow us as a whole to be able to be in contact for any possible scheduling conflicts or possible missions, TF's or just fun beatdowns.
If enough responses to this happen I can see about getting this started as long as it doesn't conflict with my current Tuesday static team run. -
No need to restart, unless you want to and get badge. Think plan is to meet on Tuesday at sewer entrance in AP.

Stay hidden, the shadows will protect you. That was the last thing my mother said to me as she led the men hunting us away. All I remember were the white lab coats and their security team yelling for her to give them the child. That was 10 years ago and yet they still hunt for me.
I worked my way from child of the street to research assistant at Crey Industries, under an alias of Chad Wyrick. Using a device that is stopping their sensors from detecting my mutant signature I have been able to infiltrate their organization and gather information from the inside in hopes of stopping them.
While Chad Wyrick works from the inside the belly of the beast by day at night the vigilante known as Doc Midnight emerges from the shadows to combat the Crey at every turn, taking down their underground labs, rescuing the poor souls Crey has captured, destroying countless amounts of research and costing the company billions.
During the past 2 years Crey Industries as added extra security measures. My security access has been modified and restricted to a level 3. I believe my one man war against this evil empire is in need of some allies and maybe its time for Chad Wyrick to disappear and for Doc Midnight to wage a full scale war against Crey for their crimes. -
If we get enough responses, another team could be set up for a different night. Same SG, same rules just an East/West kinda thing. Just a thought and it would give me something to do on another day when I'm not working.

Heck, in coming up with my suggestions for Blind Justyce's origin now that I think about, there could be some cross-over in the origins. The same nefarious organization (Crey, Nemesis, Arachnos, etc.) saw that these brilliant scientists were coming close to amazing breakthroughs and caused: 1) Liberty-Flames experiment to be sabotaged; 2) Solar-Tech's proposals to get bogged down in red tape (so they could snatch the tech up themselves on the cheap); and 3) ruined Blind Justyce's life to obtain the Smart Suit.
This could tie us all into the CoX universe a little more, and create a common thread throughout the team . . .
What do you guys think?
[/ QUOTE ]
That would work, especially Crey who have been known to do a little experimantation on unwilling subjects from time to time. Sitting on my lunch break still thinking bout my backstory. If a spot does open up I would strongly consider Perdix for it, he was a member in the static team Dat and I did the beginning of the year. -
And the 8th and final spot looks to belong to StKenth and his mutant fire/thermal controller, Burnt Sacrifice. Posting for him as he is unable to post at this time
