The bio was lamer (two dimensional would be a compliment), and the costume was a simpler version of the origional's. But the chest was bigger, and shown off more.

People that wouldn't talk to the origional were suddenly coming up and starting conversations with the knock-off. After a few runs I deleted her, but the experiment proved enlightening. And depressing.
I've had this happen too. I've never liked how over-built so many of the women in comics are and it shows in my toons. Because of this, I tend to get ignored in favor of the tall blonde that looks like she just stepped out of a mens magazine.
  2. Even if they just turned them into copies of Meg Mason, I would love to see them get a makeover. They would become the hazard zone version of the radio. Totally optional, but something different then the arcs we've all done over and over. Adding an unlockable mini-TF/trial after a number of missions (like the safeguards) would make them even better.
  3. They have to do something while waiting for a hero to drop by.
  4. You have some interesting ideas.

    1) How about, at 50, supers get enlisted into a new service where they deal with high end threats/missions etc. Being a member of this squad allows you access to lvl 50 only arcs. Each arc would involve a new signature super (not another version of the current ones). All new signature supers that we have to deal with. These arcs could slowly be added by the DEVS and perhaps DEVS could include arcs from AE in here and make them canon (they were mentioning this before). Oh, these should include all new maps
I like this idea. I got the feeling that the RWZ was one such idea, but they wanted to include more people.

However, it would be just one AV or Hero (suped up a bit in the open environment maybe) to deal with. These open world 'invasions' would only happen to intro the new super and could reward a badge. Once that person has been intro.ed then maybe move to a different one. I figure doing this 'invasion' style intro is easier than a new arc.
This could be fun, but I fear that it could end up like so many of the GMs. After awhile people just don't care anymore.

I would like to see new missions for all levels, not just 50s

This enemy can exist continuously in this unprotected/open zone. Extra rewards for going in and dealing with him/her/it! Perhaps, if your toon reaches level 50 then this arch-enemy gets powerful enough to hit the regular environment and it would be an open mission - to beat the random enemy in the zone. It would beat the constant zombies and rikti invasions - I like both of these but in moderation. Between the new area/zone and having your enemy 'invading', each of us may see our counterpart every now and then!

Also, perhaps the DEVS would allow us to create a Giant Monster in addition to our arch-enemy. One GM per account when any toon dings 50 - like an unlock. The GM could be in the new area and outdoor environments. This GM would also plague heroes, vills and Praetoria zones (outdoor).
The Nemesis system on CO is one of the things I hated about that game. I wouldn't care if they added it here as long as it's optional.

Each weapon is one slot and can max out at 3 slots. We can easily obtain them, delete the weapon and get a new one or just replace them with a different weapon. Slots obtained via XP - no need to level but just get XP.
There are so many temp weapon powers that something like this would be easy to add. I'd just leave it as a temp power thats just fun to have and not something that could overpower a build.

Perhaps a NEW power for each AT (examples of new powers: missile launcher from shoulder, gattling gun on shoulder, power staff, power javelin etc.).
Time will tell if they ever will do something like this. I remember reading in the past about how the powers were balanced by the number we have now. Adding new powers to the mix could end up with a new round of nerfs.

It takes a lot of work to make totally new content. That's why they pad what we have by re-hashing older content

The sad thing is that the more control of content you give to players, the more farms and other "junk" will be made. It's just how it goes. It doesn't matter how many times you tell people that something isn't for that. They will do it anyway and then whine when it's taken away/nerfed. We were told from day one that AE wasn't for farming, but after a very short time that's all anyone was using it for. I still run into people that can't understand why they lost the AE farms then ask how they get to Independence Port right after.
  5. I'd be interested in seeing if this ever takes off. There are too many rules for my taste, and most of them would be hard to enforce. Plus there is nothing stopping the new leader from saying "Enough of this. New rules!"
  6. I saw it everywhere when the Architect box came out. You'll see it again when GR comes out. It's all about spending you money wisely. WoW has so many players that they can afford TV ads. Most other games don't. They have to chose the times when new content comes out.
  7. Because there is a lot of space between the two spots you are talking about and it would be a nightmare for them to try and fill it all. Then there is a issue of the number of players in an area. Get too many, and everything slows down.

I guess as someone that played back before we had Pocket D, Base teleporters, Mission teleporter, Ouroboros, Wentworths/Black Market teleporter, Arachnos fliers (CoV wasn't around yet) I just don't see what the problem is. It's never been easier to get around than it is now. Heck, I remember people worrying that the Paragon Dance Party (pocket D replaced it) was making it too easy for lowbies to get to the high level areas.

    Naughty vs. Nice

huh... I get nice about 50% of the time. The longest streak of nice I got was 16 presents. I've never gotten that many naughty in a row though.
  9. longest I have is 1488 with a reg date of 2005-11-20

    4. Use money from them to buy cheap SOs. 1-2 to start is fine.
    5. Cycle that money into more SOs to buy.
    6. Sell to appropriate store.

1m in single digit levels is boring, but easy. You can expand out into recipes, as well.
This is an easy way to get started as long as people are willing to sell their SOs. I know I list the Sos that I get because I feel it's only fair to help the new toons that are willing to do the work needed to get the inf they need. 25k at level 50 isn't much, but at level 5 it's a lot.
  11. We have a free market system. The reason the price is high is because the supply is lower than the demand. Just like in the real world, this means that the price goes up to the point that only the people with lots of money can afford them. If you really want to level the playing field then you need to increase the drop rate and not set price caps. There would be no reason to pay a higher price with a larger supply.
  12. I have a little trouble if someone changes the color of their bubbles to white.
  13. The entire west coast went down for a few minutes
  14. The thing people need to remember is that the spawns can drop items too. You get more candy canes by cleaning up other peoples mess.
  15. a couple things...

I'm not sure that cross server would be possible.
And we already get bonuses for teaming. It's called higher XP and more drops.

Would this really happen? I don't know, but wouldn't be surprised if it did.
I'm pessimistic about human behavior in general, but that's me.
I'm sad to say that it's already happening. There are people that play the game that just don't get that people don't want to PvP with them just because they want it now. If i want to PvP, I will go to the PvP zones. If I want to dual a friend, I will go to the arena. My ignore list is filled with gold farmers and people that demanded that I fight them.
  17. I have a couple of toons redside that I plan on moving because no matter how I try, I just can't play redside. I don't like the story arcs or the overall feel of CoV. I guess I'm just not that evil.
  18. If you are under 35, you will get the badge as soon as you get to 35.
  19. I just tried all the ones listed on the Quickchat menu and everything but Kneel worked for me
  20. DocArcus

    still bugged?

    It's working fine for me.
  21. They run Top Gear where I live from time to time, so it can work in the US.
  22. What a weird ad to get people to pay for their television license.
  23. There is an easy way to make your own... Use the HeroClix figures that came in the CoV collector's edition boxes. They sell on eBay for less than $15 (I've seen them go as low as $5) and you get a free month of play if you didn't already have it.
  24. Or the car could stop the moment someone attacks it. All the mobs would jump out and return fire.

The bubbles don't show the number of people logged in, it shows the load on the server. They upgraded Freedom a while back so it can handle more people.
