No, the accolade lets you edit stuff outside of the building.

Thing is, it used to let you edit them while inside missions but now you can't. That was pretty much the only reason to do it. You could test a mission, find an issue, and fix it on the fly. Now you can't, so the accolade is pretty pointless. Outside of that one scenario, you'd want to be able to actually... test changes, usually? So there's no reason to edit your arc while in, say, Grandville.

And now you can't edit them while in bases or in missions, so the accolade is kind of silly.

Canon says otherwise. In fact, is it even clear if Reichs IS Marcus Cole? He just happens to have similar powers, very likely from the Well, and be the *counter-part* of Statesmen.
He's definitely german though, given the words of german in his in-game speech and the fact he actually led the Storm Korps of Axis Earth.
Yeah you're right, it's totally unclear.

    Description

This Marcus Cole, from an alternate dimension, was a rogue and a mercenary who was exposed to mustard gas during World War I. In search of a cure for the effects of the gas, Marcus discovered the Well of the Furies. He drank from the well and was granted incredible powers. Adopting the persona of Reichsman, Marcus used these powers in the service of the Axis powers on his world, leading them to victory over their foes. When he discovered the existence of another Earth, he traveled there and was defeated and imprisoned by the Freedom Phalanx. Now he's back, and ready for revenge.

    I17 and GR

    No official word.

Though, CoV was released with an issue (the issue did little if you didn't have CoV of course).

Right now it's possible i17 will be with GR. And there are some things that are unlikely to be restricted just to GR, like the graphical update and whatever will be part of the UI update that will allow us to tell the different factions apart.

    -Regen

You know, I'm confused. I thought we agreed after the AV/GM regen change that -regen wasn't that useful anymore. And here we have more than one person with numbers showing regen is pretty much necessary to do anything.

Maybe I'm mistaken and that agreement was only for AVs and not GMs?

Also pretty sure you can't apply the same type of code to an account, so you'd end up with a bunch of codes you can't use unless you feel like opening new accounts.
  7. BABs made a post recently concerning the unlockable models. I believe he said that they'd be looking into allowing the different ones to be available.

So it may not do it now, but seems they're looking into a solution.
  8. I'll cast a vote toward WP. It has energy defense, psi RES, and all around has high HP and regen. WP also has the bonus of being good at just about any other content in the game, too!

I agree actually. Of all of them, I want to find out what happened to Ruin the most. From the sound of his letter, he wasn't just a sassy and confident supervillain, but someone who could actually stand up to Hero 1. I want to know what happened to him.

Also count me as being one of the Tin Mage fans. I want to see someone do something with his plans.

And I too want to find out about Ajax, especially after his letter.

Your argument that it wasn't fixed is based entirely on the fact that the market isn't doing whatever arbitrary thing it is you think it should be doing?

You have no data or research to suggest that all the people who have posted thus far are wrong and drops are still broken. You are ignoring the fact that devs and numerous players (even in THIS THREAD) have noted that it was fixed. You haven't even checked the market forum where threads WERE appearing when this WAS an issue, but are now showing normal drop rates.

And no, I disagree on SSK being an issue. There's no reason that someone needs to be -2 or more to the mission owner unless they explicitly want to be PLed. But we already had this discussion in another thread and this one's about farming.

If you had read the other posts, not only was this bug not as severe as you're making it out to be (it wasn't causing drops to be 1/8th what they should be; it was reducing them but not by that significant amount), but it was already fixed.

Sprint gives +50% run speed, +10% jump height, and +0% jump speed. NR gives +140% run speed, +695% jump height, and +136.95% jump speed. You really think the contributions of these two powers is comparable enough that NR should stack with everything in the way Sprint does?

I don't think NR's "best execution" is as a "sprint-type power" when it gives almost three times the run speed, 65x the jump height, and +136.95% jump speed when Sprint gives none.

Sprint is an exception because its contributions are minimal.

    Taken a break?

Do they really need a reason besides it being a holiday? Devs have lives too you know.
  14. I always hated playing games where a single enemy 10 levels below me can clean my clock.

In this game, on some of my characters, I can beat up 17 enemies at a time who are 2 levels above me.

This game has -1 to +4 level settings, and 1 to 8-man spawns. If you're having a hard time being challenged, start upping the difficulty. Fight at +4/x1 if you want to face small groups of really powerful badguys. That would be a severe challenge for most regular characters.

All the powers follow the same rule.

CJ - Cannot be stacked with other jump toggles
SJ - Cannot be stacked with other jump toggles
SS - Cannot be stacked with other run toggles
Hover - Cannot be stacked with other fly toggles
Fly - Cannot be stacked with other fly toggles
Group Fly - Cannot be stacked with other fly toggles

All of them can be stacked with Sprint. Powers that do different things, like SS+SJ, can stack because one is a jump toggle and one is a run toggle. They improve different attributes of the character. Similarly, CJ+Hover or SS+Fly or any other combination of different attributes will work.

NR is a jump and run toggle. Therefore, it can't stack with CJ, SJ, or SS. It cannot be stacked with other jump and/or run toggles. Except Sprint, because that works with all toggles.

As for Hasten, it's not a toggle nor does it affect move speed in any way.

Your guess is incredibly incorrect. In fact, I used to do two or more TFs a day. I did speedruns, on max difficulty, for the fun and challenge. When the new settings first appeared, I enjoyed a +4 ITF. Then the change happened. I haven't done but one TF since, and that was only to get Marshal. So yeah, from the sound of it, it impacted me more than you.

I'm not happy with the change. I haven't done and won't do another TF until they fix it. However, I also know the devs are working on it, which Mod8 confirmed. His comment that it's a very complex situation and they want to get it totally done should've been MORE than enough to placate everyone. Complaining that it's been an arbitrary number of days since the change won't make things go any faster. It'll get done when it gets done.
  17. So, a redname commented on the complexity of the issue, why it's taking a while to do (tons of things connected to it, extensive testing required), and reassured us that they'll get it done when possible after it's completely fixed and not just a hackjob.

Then people post and say "Yeah, but why is it taking so long?! Lazy slacker devs!!"

Old Claws: The poses were okay, but what you can't see in the picture is that the claws were positioned and angled at really odd angles, and would flip and rotate while moving.

New Claws: The odd angles and clipping issues are gone. Standing pose is roughly the same, but back (right) hand downward instead of sideways. Running is new: it now holds both hands back, which I think looks really good, as if the character is ready to attack. Jumping has changed to the default jump, but with claws. The jump should be reverted. The old arms-crossed jump looked WAY better.

Old Shield: Awkward positioning where the shield is held out on the arm and not actually used defensively. Standing pose is okay, but running and jumping have the shield either thrown off to the side as if disregarded, or clipping horribly when arms cross -- this is one instance where the arms crossed version DOESN'T look good, but other sets with it should be maintained!!

New Shield: Fixed the positioning of the shield. Essentially it's the same as if you had sword+shield. It looks better all around. Standing is the same, but run now holds the shield out, defensively, rather than holding it to the side. Jump no longer clips.

Old Pistols: This had the same issues as Claws, which you can see more easily in these screenshots. Standing pose is very awkward for a pistol. The running poses is even more awkward, with one pistol being held upsidedown. The arms-crossed jumping pose is the only thing with the current version that doesn't look goofy as heck.

New Pistols: Standing pose is much improved, with a more natural "relaxed" position of the back (right) hand. The running pose is severely improved, with the double hands-back run that Claws has, and with no wacky flipped pistols. For some reason the jump was changed too, which looks clumsy and uncool.

Summary: Good improvements all around, however, please PLEASE PLEASE retain arms-crossed animation for Claws and Pistols, like it is for DB. It looks cool (especially with Pistols) and doesn't appear to cause any clipping issues (since DB already uses this and works fine).

Truth is, while everyone technically CAN buy the packs, there's still a fair margin of the playerbase that doesn't or can't spring for the extra stuff. It happens a lot more in newer players, who come in and notice that there's currently $70 worth of packs. In the future this may be a lot higher. One of my annoyances with GW was that new players coming in had to spend like $150 to get the whole game.

Since not everyone buys it, and we're talking real money, the safest bet is to give out non-impacting items like fluffy emotes and costume parts. This is the main draw of the packs. People who just love to make their toons look pretty pay extra to get some cute pieces. But nobody's gaining combat bonuses or being able to solo AVs easier because they have a frilly new dress.

Each pack has a power, which is minor impact. They're designed that way so that the pay pack people get a small perk, but nothing that dramatically changes how they get to play the game. SD is cute but pretty much useless in nearly all situations (except to save you some debt if you're already going to die). Mission teleporter saves some time, but not that much. Mystic Fortune is a cool buff, but it's random and minor, and in my experience people usually forget they have it and don't keep people buffed. Body tailor is another costume-related perk which has no in-combat use. And NR is a perk for people who have no travel power, but isn't as good as a real travel power.

What you're asking for is to make it be a clear advantage over everyone, whether they have a travel power or not. You're asking for it to stack and allow people with SS to go faster, and SJ to go faster. Right now it's only a pure advantage over people who don't get a travel power at all, and is an alternative to getting a real travel power at the expense of being slower and unslottable. Right now it's not an advantage, but a tradeoff. What you're asking for is for it to just be a pure advantage to anyone and everyone who didn't or can't pay for the pack. And sets a bad precedent.

I doubt it would "cheese off" defenders. The people you should be looking at stepping on the toes of would be Blasters, Scrappers, Stalkers, and VEATs. Scrappers get 1.125 damage scale with 1300 HP and crits. Blasters get 1.125 damage scale (1.00 melee) with 1200 HP and defiance. Stalkers get 1.00 damage scale with 1200 HP and crits/AS/placate/hide. VEATs get 1.00 damage scale with 1000 HP.

So, a ranged/defense AT would have to have somewhere less than 1.125 and less than 1300 HP. Probably a VEAT baseline would be okay. 0.90-1.00 damage scale with 1000-1200 HP with a reasonable inherent (not one that boosts damage too much).

If the damage or self-defense is too low you risk making them useless. Someone who does Defender or Tank level damage while only being as durable as a Stalker or Scrapper would be pretty crappy.

I remember that one. And being an old bug that actually means it's EASIER than it used to be to get drops. Since that bug existed for quite some time.

I wasn't sure if that's the one he meant though. His claim seemed to be that it created 7 virtual players that stole drops so you get essentially 1/8th the drops you should get. The bug WAS creating a decrease in drops, but nowhere near that much. It was small enough so as not to appear on the radar for a very long time, but noticeable enough that people eventually started complaining to get it fixed through hard data.

Psychologically, that's some people's reaction to fame and popularity. They don't know anything about you, just that people like you, so they fill the opposite role of not liking you. They can get really adamant and aggressive about their opinion, and end up trolling you.

People do the same thing with mainstream media. Some television show or movie is too popular, so they dislike it on principle and not because they actually dislike the content. Maybe they haven't even SEEN it; they dislike it because other people like it.

It's kind of like not doing what your parents want. They want to be "cool" or gain attention by going against the grain. Or they make assumptions like "people only like it because it's popular, but I can see past it," or "I refuse to give into peer pressure! I will make my own decisions."

In other words, you're too mainstream, Michelle.

Which I'm pretty certain isn't true. I don't farm for enhancement/salvage drops, but I farm in AE and tickets fall way faster when I'm solo. To the point that I don't like to take more than 2 people or I have to clear the entire map instead of just the front section.

    And for the record:

  24. I believe devs confirmed we won't be able to double-up on accolades. So a few questions remain unanswered: Can we "mix and match" accolades, like getting Born in Battle, Atlas Medallion, Demonic Aura, with Geas? Or does side-switching entirely wipe our accolades and we have to earn the accolades for that side?

If the latter, I won't be switching any toons to pure hero, because that would be dooming myself to running 7 task forces and doing tons of painful hunts. If however we can mix and match, I'll probably be picking up Atlas heroside just because I can do it solo (starting an LRSF takes 7 other people, and then you have to do half the TF).

Of course, as you said, also hinges on the reward/penalty for switching/not switching not being too crazy.
