We were all here. But "I'm working on it and it may or may not happen depending on how nice the code is to us" is different than "It's confirmed and you guys get it in about a month."

Quote:I thought we'd get separate tails. Or animated tails. But both? At the same time? Please high five everyone in the office who had a hand in this particular project for me.Animated tails are not capes. They're nearly identical to how we do wings, but a much simpler rig. (Not too much more expensive than a bow when you really get down to it.)
They've also been put on their own costume node and will now show up under "Lower Body". Which will mean you can do a Belt and a Tail (animated or static) on the same character. Unfortunately, that means the tails under the belt category are being flagged as legacy. So if you want to keep your current, non-animated tail, you'll still need to go in and select that costume part from the lower body the next time you edit your costume at the tailor. -
So far this sounds like one of the best issues ever.

WoC + PFF = I'm in a bubble in a bubble. This is the best thing ever and defeats all arguments that suggest WoC is not a good power.

Quote:i7: Thugs, Elec Melee, Elec Armor. While Elec Armor isn't popular even today after the buff, Elec Melee is pretty common even now for farming. And Thugs is constantly battling with Bots for tops with MMs. Plus, as an MM set, a good comparison to what we're getting with GR.Ugh, bad comparison. All four of those sets required a lot of fixing. (I suppose you could say they were a real "headache" for the Devs, if you're not worried about getting slapped.
) Trick Arrow and Sonic Blast still get a lot of hate in comparison to many other power sets, and Sonic Resonance was so bad that it was literally physically painful. Even Archery is now regarded by many as basically being one good power and a bunch of filler, and it's more popular than it used to be; its sister set, Trick Arrow, arguably has the worst balance issues of any Buff/Debuff set, in the direction of being too weak.
I'd much rather have two good sets than another i5 fiasco.
i11: Dual Blades, Willpower. Two very good sets that took a lot of time to make (mostly DB). Both are still pretty common today, though DB not as much. WP is practically the tops for defense sets though. i11 also had a ton of other editions, rounding it out to a very large issue, all for free!
i13: Shield Defense, Pain Domination. Pain Domination isn't the worst powerset we ever got (it's not incredibly popular, but it's no Trick Arrow). Shield Defense however has a niche, and people use it for regular stuff as well as farming. -
Quote:Well, she also looks nearly identical to another character I have, who I even have artwork of.Dispari, your alt looks nearly identical to one I have on live with some minor differences... love that look

Quote:But it's gonna cost money, so should have more than a regular issue. And we've had four free issues (i5, i7, i11, i13) that had at least two new powersets. I don't mean proliferation or even half-proliferation like Earth Assault either.Don't forget that CoV was a stand-alone game, so it really needed the same number of ATs and power sets as CoH.
GR isn't a stand-alone game, so it doesn't need the same variety of ATs and power sets as CoV did.
In fact, what we know of GR so far doesn't even rival i11.But we've also been told all we've heard is just the tip of the ice berg.
My vote? Some big thing we haven't heard about yet. Either powersets, ATs, or something dramatic. -
I don't do much Stalking, so this may be off. But I think the only Stalker secondaries that lose recovery powers are Regen and Willpower. It's not as big a deal as it sounds though, since Regen only has one toggle anyway, and WP for Stalkers has one less toggle than usual.

Quote:My hope is that they create patrons for heroes/vigilantes and regular epics for villains/rogues. This would have the following advantages:Of all the things that have been hinted at, and of all the questions that the Devs answered at Hero Con... this was not one of them, and as such, remains to be seen.
I soooo wish I knew though. My gut feeling is that either a third type of pool will be created that will include all 11 ATs that have access to an Epic/Patron or 2 new pools will be created: a hero Patron pool and a villain epic pool.
I actually really want the second, but I don't know. It may just be that a solution along the lines of the markets is put into place.
* Everyone would have equal access to epic powers
* Everyone would have a pool of immediately accessible epics, as well as earnable ones
* More choices for things that don't currently exist, like fire or psi epics for villainous ATs
Unfortunately this also has the following disadvantages:
* Would be the most work out of just about all possible solutions
* Probably lots of difficult to circumvent overlap
* Probably not going to happen -

Quote:The new enemy is something about "a foe who can match you blow for blow" or something. And WW confirmed that it's not some sort of doppelganger system. But there WILL be some new sort of enemy.Where is this info on a doppleganger system? I am pretty sure WW said there was nothing like that included.
And sadly for some people, continually adding stuff to the MA is just taking Dev time away from things that have been neglected for along time like, Bases, New IO sets, fixing PvP which the broke horrendously, CoV on a whole, etc.
And the MA thing, there are different devs (Dr. Aeon) who work on AE. If he wasn't working on AE, he wouldn't be working on something else, because that's not his job. He's the AE dev. So no, dev time isn't being taken away from anything. -

Who's to say the stuff is forced anyway? Where does it say that you FORCE the minion to go run into the battle with a bomb? Or that you FORCE any of your henchmen to do anything? Maybe they all follow you of their own accord and make those sacrifices themselves. It's all in how you play the characters. If your mastermind is forcing soldiers to blow themselves up, that's your idea. I don't play my characters like that.

I like you Laz, but all your characters are the same.

Zombies are fine if you take the right approach. Zombies can basically just be puppets. They're often associated with evil, but it's possible to make goodguy necromancers. Guild Wars has them.
My Necro/Dark started off as a good person. She was part of a noble family that practiced necromancy and dark magic. They revived the dead and assembled flesh and bone into new shapes to use as pets and servants. For instance, they might create dogs or birds to carry messages long distances, scout, or hunt. They might use humanoid zombies to build buildings or do other menial labor.
Creepy but not evil.
