Any PvE content that requires you to do PvP content is inherently broken.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Fortunately, no such PvE content exists.

    Truly Stealth?

Rikti drones will see you no matter what. Units with +perception have so much perception that even if you're at the stealth cap they still see you. The only way around it is to use a -perception power.

The fanboyism of the CoH forums knows no bounds. Taking what I said completely out of context and then making me seem like the bad guy.

I didn't come back to the forums because it's a cesspool of fanboyism.

Also, JJ, you didn't do a thing, stop acting superior.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Then please explain what you meant and what the proper "context" was. Because whatever you said made no sense to any of us. It looked like you were claiming that while CO only gets 7 powers, CoH only gets 10.

f it is true that there is no real end-game, ill just RP a little bit until my account runs out...

    [/ QUOTE ]
It's really weird to me that a dozen people have posted tons of things you can do after you hit 50, some of which are pretty time-consuming, rewarding, and epic, and you just keep sighing and saying "It sucks there's no end-game."

so there is no end-game, is that what I'm hearing.

Is there no epic battle between the heroes and the villains?

I just listed all the end-game stuff I do. People hear what they want to hear.

Am I the only one who enjoys Mr. Pibb?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Pibb is good. I prefer Dr Pepper, but I'll grab a Pibb from time to time.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I must agree wholeheartedly with this comment as it is written, though I feel the further need to state that I infrequently discriminate between flavors of soda, and typically go with what ze gut wants that particular day.

It tends to favor Coca-Cola or Dr. Pepper, with the occasional Barq's.

    [/ QUOTE ]
My personal soda chain of command tends to go:

    Dr Pepper
    Pepsi
    Mr Pibb
    Root Beer (Barq's or A&W)
    RC Cola
Dr Thunder (cheap knockoff by Wal-Mart, but it's cheap)
    Coca Cola
  11. Hmm, I've never had someone say something so offensive that I've kicked them right off. I could definitely see if someone blew up and started shouting really offensive/vulgar insults at someone for something I probably would. But generally even if teammates get into an argument or start insulting eachother, I tell them to cool it or I'll start kicking, cause we're all just here to have fun and they're ruining it.

It's a clear clone, open and shut case. Stop the protest and let everyone get back to their ERP with that cute little FUTA cat"girl".

    [/ QUOTE ]
    Fixed.

On topic, a friend of mine played a clone of Superman since beta. And I mean exact. His costume was perfect, he was SS/Inv with super speed and flight, and his bio was a brief summary of Superman mentioning that he's from another planet and has powers due to the sun. He kept that character for over two years. Nobody ever reported him. At one point he actually went to the GMs himself and asked if it was a little too obvious. They said that it was, and allowed him to change his costume and bio.

Point is, you can be subtle with your copy or you can be extremely obvious. It's random chance to see if you get reported or not. And it doesn't matter how long you've gone unreported. As long as you're copying something, you're going to get hit with the generic hammer.

And yes, that guy's costume is almost exact.

    Healing roles?

Mind's a great set, with a lot of good controls, so yes. I'd avoid Telekinesis, though -- sort of a crummy power unless you really know how to use it.

Empathy: Yes. Just don't fall into the trap of being a "healz0r." Take Fortitude, Regeneration Aura, Recovery Aura, and Adrenaline Boost. They're all fantastic powers and Fortitude can be your primary means of damage mitigation due to the +DEF it offers. Mix your buffs with your controls and use heals as a last resort.

Really, as the team leader you can kick whenever you want for whatever reason. Or even for no reason at all, or personal reasons. But as a person with responsibility over a team of up to 7 other people, you should try to be professional about it. If people are causing problems or being troublesome, you're well within your rights to kick them. I've seen teams fall apart because of bad leaders (and I've even caught some on the rebound).

A good way to handle a team is to warn someone first when they do something. If they don't listen, try to see what the rest of the team wants to do. Odds are if they're causing problems that other teammates are noticing and complaining about, kicking them would work just fine for everyone.

The odd thing is that The Banes could have easily been given more powers in their secondary, Forts and Nights each have more than four powers.

    Widow Training: 8
    Night Widow Training: 6
    Teamwork: 7
    Widow Teamwork: 6
    Total: 27

    Widow Training: 8
    Fortunata Training: 10
    Teamwork: 7
    Fortunata Teamwork: 5
    Total: 30

    Arachnos Soldier: 8
    Bane Spider Soldier: 10
    Training and Gadgets: 8
    Bane Spider Training: 4
    Total: 30

    Arachnos Soldier: 8
    Crab Spider Soldier: 10
    Training and Gadgets: 8
    Crab Spider Training: 4
    Total: 30

They have the same number of powers, except Night Widow who get a few less, oddly. They're just in different places.

How many high-number sustainable ToHit buff powers are there?

[/ QUOTE ] How many times can you afford to spend 50 influence on an inspiration?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Is that somehow way easier than stocking up on purples and/or oranges and/or greens for the final confrontation in the LRSF?
  22. [ QUOTE ]
thanks. I guess we'll all just pick earth controllers since it doesn't matter.
    Just kidding.

    [/ QUOTE ]
You say that as if it would be a bad idea, but it would probably kill. You have 3 people who can hit short recharge stuns, plus great holds, knockdown powers, and really massive -DEF debuffs. If all the mezzes aren't enough, you'll have 3 hard to kill pets who taunt. And that's just out of your primary.
  23. [ QUOTE ]
Look at the STF for instance. Quite hard with a PuG, but still doable.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I don't see how that's any better. Ghost Widow and Mako are both troublesome units that can be a huge pain for unprepared teams. In fact, Mako can be completely impossible to kill if the team doesn't have enough +ToHit bonuses. Actually, that's probably more of a niche requirement than what's needed for the LRSF. How many high-number sustainable ToHit buff powers are there?

So, unprepared teams cannot beat the STF. Likewise, unprepared teams cannot beat the LRSF. The STF may be easier than the LRSF but the concept remains the same. Throw together an unprepared team and you're going to fail.

    [ QUOTE ]
And What's worse is it has what I think is one of the worst Merit rewards of all TF/SF in the entire game.

    [/ QUOTE ]
That much we can agree on. It's so disproportionate that we don't do it much anymore except just for fun (in which case we rush the Phalanx head-on). The pay is not proportional to the agony.
