That was fun. ^_^ I took a few pics myself:
The Guys
The Gals
I'm glad I didn't have to decide anything. As it was I was minimally useful, but anyway. Both winners had excellent costumes. I offered each of them a set of halloween salvage for an extra costume slot as well... Martyress was very happy to take it, while Vermillion Warlock declined as he only uses 2 costume slots as is. Ah well, not so surprising I suppose. ^_^

Thanks for helping! I usually need a good assistant, but my usual was out this week.
Side-note, we got a sponsor for next week. MANCRUSH and the Posthaste Fan Club has donated a nice sum. -

I seriously doubt anyone here is mad at you or "lashing out" because they "can't beat you in PvP." Or even cares. -
Sort of depends on how they're doing it. If all your powers have to be the same color, I probably won't use it much. If each power can have its own color, I'll be redoing my Energy/Energy Blaster to have various colors between attacks. Off the top of my head, I want Energy Torrent to be yellow/gold and some of the other attacks to be red or green.

Judges have odd, or bad taste maybe.
But Fake? Makes no sense. Why?
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't understand either. There's no reason to make a public event out of an inf transaction.
Some of them are oddly private about who wins, I've noticed. They will give the winners things in secret. Possibly to avoid accusations or to be insulted when people don't like the costumes they picked.
I'm very vocal when I do mine. I announce each and every winner, how much they won, and why I picked them. Sure, I get people who whine that I didn't pick them, or say I have "no taste," but that's okay by me. I also have people making wild assumptions about the choices I make. Any type of trend that appears, people will claim "So I just need a funny costume to win," or magic costume parts, or to be in black and white. There are sometimes sore losers, who will go on to make it into a conspiracy theory. -

To recap, you made numerous anti-gay, anti-transvestite, anti-transgender, anti-transsexual posts across at least three threads (one of which you made), over the course of a couple days, and expect us to believe you did it all just as a joke?
Mod08 told people to behave in one thread, and closed another one, but you made your own thread to continue venting.
The Internet is the only place where you can hold an argument and fight against innumerable odds, ignore blatant facts and comments, pick apart the arguments by sentence to counter only the parts you can, continue to insist you're right no matter what happens, and at the end of the day pretend you did it all to make people mad and call yourself the victor.
The human defense mechanism for arguments is to want to be right at the end of the day. You stretched that to the extreme by ignoring every counterargument and still claiming to be right. At the end, backed so far into the corner, you chose the "just kidding" approach and still claimed victory. Sorry, but you lose.
I doubt that you would've put so much effort into a "joke," so I'm forced to conclude that you were serious up until the end, and now want people to believe you were kidding. Unfortunately, you selected the wrong ending. Intentionally trolling and "admitting" to it will get you banned. Moreso than just being a bigot would have, even though people would have still hated you for the gross intolerance you displayed.
I would've reported each and every one of your posts, but it seems someone already did. -

But every time I wonder about the logistics of doing this, you get all quiet and I start to wonder! D:
And, I dunno if it'd qualify as 'cross dressing' in this day and age, thanks to Mary Tyler Moore and her insistent desire to wear pants on camera. Now, it's socially acceptable for women to wear what were traditionally considered 'male' clothes, whereas the opposite STILL makes you a freak.
People confuse me.

What if I dress like a guy who's dressed like a woman?
Also, I can never catch you in-game. -

I was going to make a serious post here, but got near the end of the thread and started giggling over this. It made me realize there's no point in having a serious argument here. It's the OP versus the world, and no matter what's said, he keeps restating his ignorant and intolerant beliefs. He even accuses everyone of "not understanding what crossdressing is" while insisting that actually changing a character's entire gender IS crossdressing. All the while ignoring that basically every sitcom, cartoon, and a good portion of movies (like, say, "Good Burger," a Nickelodeon movie for kids) involves crossdressing in a humorous fashion.
It's 1 person versus about 50, and it doesn't matter what's said because he's going to keep insisting we're all wrong and he's the majority. At this point, I feel sorry for his kids, who will probably learn his intolerance and enter their generation with hate and anger toward people who are different than they are. -

What's the rating of that story where the wolf dresses up like a woman to chat with little girls?

The same rating as those episodes of Looney Tunes where Bugs crossdresses to fool Elmer Fudd.

Mod08 closed the one thread saying there was too much intolerance for other people's lifestyles, so one of the posters makes a new thread shunning the decision. Nice.

So in case anyone is worried about crappy rewards or rigged contests, I just finished one tonight. 10th weekly CC redside. You can go there and view the winners for all CCs we've hosted.

Dispari's 10th Weekly Redside Costume Contest
Sorry it took so long to finally get to this one. Had a lot of family drama and starting new things at work. Finally got to it, and we managed to have fun. It may be just me but it seems like we had less than usual today. Possibly because I happened to miss last week. My usual partner (above) wasn't available to help, but Huntress Midnight (above the above) did show up to help me. Thanks!
We had a total of 35,000,000 in donations, which is good -- almost covers a whole CC cost. There won't be any sponsors for next week, it looks like. And I may not be online much until the next one to gather anything.
Prizes:
1st: 10m
2nd: 5m
3rd: 2.5m
Runner-ups: 1m
On to the pictures!
Female runner-ups:
DA Relations Officer
Street Lightning - level 5!
Third place:
.Blackstar
Second place:
Seer Lucia
First place:
Martyress
Male runner-ups:
Aggressive Negotiator
Bio Scorn
Third place:
Fault Forever
Second place:
Chaos Chain
First place:
Vermilion Warlock
Thanks to all who came. We'll try to get back on the right track next week by having a CC on Sunday at 10:00 PM CST. See you all then! -
CC should be today at 10:00 PM CST. It's right after work for me, so I won't be able to give the usual one-hour announcement.
-
I run weekly costume contests redside, and post the results, so you can see the sorts of costumes I picked. Not everyone always agrees with the picks, but there's always someone who thinks they should've won. They aren't "rigged," because if I wanted to steal money or give it to friends I'd just keep the money that people donate instead of hosting CCs.
We should be having one tonight at 10:00 PM CST unless something happens. -

That would be a bad idea. People are whining about the lack of content in Issue 15...what do you think would happen if they made Issue 16 have only bug fixes and no content?
There would be QQing on scales never witnessed...ok, maybe not AE Farm QQing or ED QQing, but alot of QQing fo sho.

Honestly, I've heard literally DOZENS of people say that they want something like this. The global channel JFA (which is a FULL channel, btw) has had this discussed multiple times.
Btw, if you're confused by what I'm saying simply add a qqqqzzzwwwwwwwwweeeeee to the beginning of my post and it will then be written in proper "game chat" lanugage.

Bugs basically come in four categories. Categories I just made up:
1) Game-breaking. Things don't happen the way they're supposed to, and it's causing a problem. These are addressed first. It's important to hit these first because they're actually causing real problems. Instance of such a bug: When quitting a team rewarded the whole team merits, meaning you could get almost 5x the intended number of merits per story arc/TF.
2) Really annoying. Things that are a big pain, but not really impacting anything seriously other than just making lots of people sigh. These are usually hit next, but it sort of depends on how many people complain. Instance of such a bug: When icons got reordered on the HUD and OCD people (like me) went bonkers. Still lasted about an issue, if I recall.
3) Slightly annoying. Bugs that are neither game-breaking or all that noticeable. Stuff people complain about, but most people don't notice, and it's not a big enough issue that people think to report it. Instance of such a bug: The current issue where global channel colors sometimes change when zoning.
4) Really minor bugs. Things that are neither game-breaking, nor really noticeable, nor really annoying to much extent. Usually these are also really easy to fix. It may just be a text bug, which takes 5 seconds to fix, which results in people going "OMG! Fix teh real bugs!!" Instance of such a bug: Anytime they fix the description of a power to reflect its actual attributes.
Any time the devs aren't busy with content, they may have time to look at bugs. But right now, they aren't just busy with i15. There are devs working on live. There are devs (apparently) working on the Science Pack. There are devs working on Going Rogue, i16, and probably a few at least discussing or conceptualizing stuff for i17 and possibly i18. There may be others working on the next booster pack, or other things I can't imagine. So they aren't just lazy, laying around doing nothing. They don't always have time to track down and fix bugs.
When they do, they'll shoot for #1 first, and then probably honestly #4 just because it doesn't take long. Between #2 and #3, it just depends on which one is easier to fix. It's not always quick and easy to fix something like the bio return bug. Maybe it is, but maybe it isn't, and there's research, testing, checking, and troubleshooting that has to be done.
In short, bug fixes will come when they can. Keep reporting issues and they'll eventually be addressed. You can't expect immediate compliance though. -

Don't you mean CoX2? I want my damn villains, ya hear?
[/ QUOTE ]
The devs decided to put the "devs hate villains" rumor to rest with CoH2 by not including any villains for them to supposedly "hate."
[/ QUOTE ]There's actually going to be rather little to do, most of the game will be focused about working a 9 to 5 job and living in a small, single person apartment.
[/ QUOTE ]
So it's basically the Sims. -

Also - color changing is coming *before* Going Rogue, as in the next issue (Issue 16).
Going Rogue is *not* Issue 16, per Positron. (Linky).
[/ QUOTE ]
Not really. Going Rogue is *not* an issue, it is an expansion. So Going rogue would come in between issues whether it be between i15 and 16 or i16 and 17 or further down the line..
[/ QUOTE ]
Technically, don't all issues come between other issues?
[/ QUOTE ]
Issue 1?! Or is launch "issue 0"?!?! ZOMG
[/ QUOTE ]
Also: Confirmation that issues will never end! Issues will continue for all eternity so that no issue is the "last" issue! -
I would say that -4 works for about 95% of the game and -8 works for about 99%. Sort of depends on what you intend to fight.

Every time some of us pointed out the detailed plans laid out in the August survey, many of you were quick to say "Hey that was just marketing folks regurgitating all our wish lists. No way all that stuff is planned!" Let's do a little review:
MA: Check.
Side switching in Going Rogue: Check.
Power customization in i16: Check.
But I'm sure we'll never see a Spy archetype or universal enhancement slots, right? If only they had put items on that survey that the devs were actually planning on implementing!
[/ QUOTE ]
It would be a big mistake to take that marketing survey as a roadmap for future content. I can think of at least 2 things that were on there that were either radically changed or outright cut, and a bunch of stuff that's not on there, but are being worked on right now.
[/ QUOTE ]
My guesses for the "two things" would be #2 and #9; rewards for not switching and universal slots, respectively. -

As for "about every acount," I hereby call for a vote, anyone who doesn't have a Fire/kin troller please speak up! I put myself on the list as #1.

I have one, but I quit playing her when I found out it was FotM.
I have an uncanny ability to create characters only to find out later that the combo is really popular for farming, or is considered an "easy" or "overpowered" combo. I've stopped playing an SS/WP Brute, Elec/Shield Brute, Fire/Kin Controller, Bots/FF MM, and Archery/Mental Blaster.
