NO! NO MORE CATGURLS! BE GONE!

TAKE THE GIRLY ASIAN BOYS WITH YOU!

I use a cat tail on exactly one character.

    And she's a monkeygirl, not a catgirl.

It's not crossdressing. Female costume options are not being ported to males, nor vice versa.

    IBTD.

    [/ QUOTE ]

But it is cross dressing. When ppl do drag they do there clothes and makeup to match. most men that cross dress actually look like females. They dont look like hairy men in a women's dress. Take the muary show, on numerous times they have brought ppl on the show that do drag and most the ppl in the audaince cant tell if they are really a male or female. Same thing you have here.

    [/ QUOTE ]

In biblical times, men's clothing was more dress/skirt like. While women wore something moer like what we would call "pants."

So technically, we ALL cross dress every day...relative to the perspective of another time.

I just wish they would release some more information about Going Rogue in general.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Agreed. However, since the intital information was released earlier than intended, it may be a while yet.

    [/ QUOTE ]
"Earlier than intended" only meant a few hours. They still intended to have it go up that day.

[/ QUOTE ]I don't think so. I think it wasn't supposed to go up and was only "accidentally" released in an effort to instantly hush the civil war that was erupting over the MA debacle.

The way I explained necromancy leaves it pretty open for good or evil.

The soul enters the world with a body in which to interact with the physical world. As the body begins to degrade, the soul must eventually release itself from the body, and thus the body is mostly a tool, albeit, one necessary to interact with the physical realm. With enough force of will, a soul can manifest itself to interact with the physical world without the need of a body, often resulting in a Spirit, Spectre, Ghoul, Ghost, whatever you wish to call it. Others can re-enter uninhabited bodies, and the most powerful can enter and even force out the soul of another.

Necromancy works on the principal of binding souls to the will of the necromancer, and then forcing them into uninhabited bodies so that they can use them to whatever purpose they need. More powerful souls that do not need bodies take a more talented Necromancer to bind to them. A good Necromancer might only bind willing souls to him, or 'evil' souls to not only keep them in check, but force them under them to do good. Evil Necromancers would just bind whoever and do whatever. Therefore, Necromancers are a prime example of 'What you do with power defines who you are.'

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, the whole "good Necromancer" things doesn't really fly with me, binding is binding.

    [/ QUOTE ]
My necromancer comes from a family of "good" necromancers. She's evil now, but that's from 1000 years of insanity.

Originally her family practiced dark arts, but not to hurt people. They used necromancy to animate dead bodies or parts as tools, like puppets. They could piece together parts of corpses, like flesh and bones, to create new "creatures" for various tasks. Like a doglike creature that can run fast, for scouting and recon. Or they could just animate a corpse to use for free labor, like to build a house.

    Creepy, but not evil.
  7. I play my Widow for content stuff and badges. I run TFs and whatnot with her. She only has one purple piece (a proc), but has a lot of other IOs.

Blueside I have a 50 Blaster that I use pretty much just for RP.

That theory doesn't work so well for all the other pets.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It doesn't work well for the VEATs either, but do you really think that they're going to completely change the name of the AT to account for those who change sides because they're no longer in Arachnos?

Honestly, I doubt there will be any change to the PPP/APP system. The pools are, in and of themselves, balanced around the ATs they belong too. Creating entirely new PPP/APPs to account for villains that switch sides would be an exercise in redundancy since there are already perfectly serviceable and presumably balanced PPPs to work with. The only problems that really exist are, potentially, the pets, though, it's not entirely out of the question that you brought along or found an individual of the kind that changed sides to work with you.

    [/ QUOTE ]

While the PPPs are balanced for their ATs and serviceable, it doesn't make sense that after side switching, the villains, who are now heroes, are going to go back to the Arachnos patrons and be like, "Hey, teach me more cool powers with which I can use against you in the very near future."

Ancillary pools make a bit more sense, since in theory they are just newly learned powers, I could get a heroe in the isles learning additional powers. The patron pools, not so much.

    [/ QUOTE ]
On the other hand, it also doesn't make sense that heroes leaving Paragon City would suddenly forget the epic powers that they learned (without jumping through hoops) as soon as they arrive in the Rogue Isles, and have to go ask some guys to teach them how to use shields and ranged attacks again.

OK this Thread is Now Hi-Jacked:

Global Warming ---- Fact or Fiction?

    Discuss...

    [/ QUOTE ]
Definitely fact. The people who originally tried to debunk it were the CEOs and people who stood to lose something if action was taken. Their pre-emptive attempt to turn it into a conspiracy fooled people who had never heard of global warming before worked by getting to people before they heard the facts. And they did it all based on lies.
  11. I knew without even opening this thread that it would be about AE.

  12. It took me a while to get them all together, but this is the list I came up with that summarizes Tomatre's personality and character.

    Action Girl
    Badass Bookworm
    Determinator
    Idiot Hero
    Person of Mass Destruction
    Screwy Squirrel
    Technical Pacifist

I may put this on her VV page.

  14. If you can't beat Frostfire even with constant 95% evasion, I don't know what else I could possibly recommend. It's not hard to beat EBs. I don't know what the point of lying about it would be. It's not a fantastic feat and doesn't require any intense talent. There's nobody for me to impress. With people running around soloing AVs with Blasters, I don't see why I would need to lie about soloing an EB with a Widow.
  15. [ QUOTE ]
No it's not. Trust me when I state experience speaks louder than words, and experience reveals that there's a number (although very few) of Elite Bosses and mobs that cannot be soloed effectively.

    ...

I did use all the tools available. After the first face plant, I figured out that I should probably knock out all of Frostfire's body guards before taking him on personally.

    ...

Oh durrr... me not think of that. Me have eye-cue of 5. Duuuuuurrrr.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I think you can't see through all that sarcasm and disbelief.

I've yet to find an EB I can't solo on my Widow on the highest difficulty (or diff 4 if they're a natural AV), without inspirations and without temp powers. And nothing is really any challenge for her on lower difficulties.

Even if Widows are crazy strong, any AT with any power set should be able to solo EBs. I've soloed tons of EBs on tons of characters. I have more than 25 ACTIVE characters, and I've conqured EBs on all of them, as well as probably dozens of deleted characters, across all builds, ATs, and levels.

Maybe your "experience" shows otherwise, but mine doesn't. I've soloed Frostfire, Kadabra Kill, Spinerette, Silver Mantis, Nosferatu, Statesman, and Ghost Widow as EBs. Those would be some of the ones I consider the hardest, as well as your list, but none of them are too hard to handle if you know what you're doing. The hardest one is probably Ghost Widow (followed by Nosferatu) but only because she cheats. Some of them can be frustrating if you aren't prepared, but there are plenty of ways to deal with them.

First, your statements seem to be indicating that your strategies suck. You even have a hard time with lieutenants? And it took more than one encounter to think to attack the enemies around the EB? You also claim you use inspirations, but I'm willing to bet you don't use the right ones. It's a common newbie mistake to just stock up on greens. Take purples. Seriously. 4x purples = you get hit less than 10% of the time. Suddenly, all their really ridiculous attacks, powers, and debuffs don't matter because they can't hit you. And there are plenty of defensive temp powers, and pet powers.

Whatever you're doing, you're doing it wrong. You haven't exhausted all your options and you aren't using good strategies. Properly prepared (sometimes with inspirations and temps), I've never had trouble taking down any EB, from level 10 to 50, on any AT, with any build.

3 -KB IOs (Karma, Steadfast, Zephyr) will total -12 Mag KB. It doesn't cost you a power pick, it costs no endurance, continues to function when you are mezzed, and uses the same number of Enhancement slots.

I didn't buy the wedding pack because it didn't have anything that appealed to me. Ditto for the Mac pack.

Next thing you know there will be guys playing female characters.

Good thing the OP can escape to real life where that sort of nonsense isn't happening.
  22. You also have a lot of purples and LotG stuff slotted. I hope you have a billion or two laying around. If not, I'd focus on cheaper sets.
  23. There's a large difficulty spike near the end. It's definitely impossible to solo past level 55.
  24. [ QUOTE ]
Last time I went into it, having been cajoled into it by a team with the promise of PvE missions, I got snagged by TP Foe shortly after zoning in and nearly ganked by another player. So, yes, definitely a PvP zone. Though it may be practically deserted these days, I won't chance it.

    [/ QUOTE ]
What's there to chance? Nothing happens if you die in a PvP zone.
