Quote:I clearly do, you have a problem understanding me. I have no time for someone that disreguards what I'm talking about so, if you please, read my post, and select and disect. If not, do not respond, Kind Sir or Lady!
I understand what you want, I just don't agree with the need for it. As both Umbral and I have pointed out above there aren't enough ways to get rid of inf in this game. This is one of the largest ones and that is the main reason for my dissagreement.
As a newb I messed up my slotting. But I just put new stuff over the old stuff. It's a good system. -
Quote:Yeah, Kinda what I was thinking. And it is a nod to the prevelance of superman (as well as the blindness of the metropolis populationI think the only reason this -won't- happen is that it's probably a little too close of a nod for intellectual property reasons. It screams Superman after all. Ever wonder why we don't have a newspaper reporter/photographer Day Job badge?
) that this is suggested. AFAIK he's the only character to do it?

Quote:Umm, no, you can put the enhancements back into powers at the end of the respec. Clearly you don't understand the process. Respecing is the process of picking new powers. Given you are only able to access the same powers there is a good chance you should be able to use most of the enhancements you already had. You are allowed 10 slots in your inventory to put those you aren't able to reslot. So you're saying that each time someone respecs, they have to get all their enhancements except for those 10 anew, unless they they want to go through the BS of having to respec multi times, great! I have no problems with it really, as I have plenty of them. I guess all those new people(with a junk IOd out toons) that the devs want to bring in, that want to respec, are **** out of luck
You have to start over because you didn't understand the game! GL newbies
No way to fix it except to start over! -
Quote:Excuse me? Read out of the handbook? It's a pop up in the tutorial, and just because there are now IO's I don't see how the rules have changed. When you slot something, it should be in there for good.Sorry, but that was way before inventions were put into the game, the devs need to rethink it for recipes, new times, new thinking.
Edit: please do better than reading out of the handbook from long ago.
People complain about there being too much liquid Inf in game and the only substantial sink for this is enhancements. What you are suggesting removes this entirely so that we end up with nothing ever being destroyed.
If people are that desperate to strip their toon of enhancements (to sell, or whatever) then it should be difficult and cost them.
I'm with Umbral below, I think it's a bad idea. -
Quote:When you slot an enhancement for the first time on a new character you'll see a popup saying this can't be removed. Enhancements aren't meant to be taken out, just replaced. Respecs are for changing your power choices, not removing your enhancements.More and more I keep reading/hearing in game that people are having to do 1, 2, or more respecs just to get all the invention recipes out of a current build so they don't lose all those set goodies.
I was just wondering, if maybe, the devs could come up with a system that would allow a super respec (maybe even something deserving in that reguard) that would let those wanting it, to do so. Unlimited slots for enhancements for limited time? Maybe they could let us send our leftovers to WW's or BM for storage?
I'm just throwing this out there. We could have something very hard for those that want to do it, or maybe it could be level 50 req'd and a minimun# of rares?
Any thoughts?
My bad if it's been said before. No search FU tonight.

Quote:Just a query on this... if I have a team mate who damages them do I still qualify for a drop even if I didn't personally hit them? Normal teaming would indicate yes, but wondering if it's different for these? There are certain foes who definitely drop things in a "per player" way for certain drop tables. As For example, Devouring Earth Monsters (like those in the Hive and Abyss) can drop an inspiration on anyone who damaged them. Rikti who appear at RWZ ship raids will "drop" Vanguard merits on anyone who damaged them. (We don't often think of them that way, but Vanguard Merits and AE tickets are drops too.) I haven't tested it specifically, but I'm pretty certain that Hamidon's Mitochondria can drop salvage on multiple people, as there are only 54 of them for a whole raid, but 40-odd people will get around 10 salvage per raid, and that's including the fact that not everyone attacks all the mitos.

Quote:You mean you want it to be a shop?Speaking for myself, I would prefer it if the market was an inexpensive, reliable method of getting all of the latest and greatest goodies on a character with a bit of work and some judicious horse trading. However, from what I've read, that's not the Dev's intended goal for it.

I wrote it mostly from scratch, but used the wiki as a reference.
http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/List_of_Slash_Commands
http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Bind
/bind (key) "+team_select 1$$powexec_name speed boost"
I've corrected it to what I think it is. Let me know if it works or not. I can check my bind file later tonight if it doesn't. -
I rolled a kin recently and found the following bind useful (I'm doing this off memory so you might need to check the exact syntax):
/bind (key) +select_teammate_1$$Executepower "speed boost"
or something similar. It's a fast casting power so can be bound to the select team mate power without affecting life too much and as a kin is the main reason for selecting teammates anyway. I have a seperate key per teammate slot (I use Y-]) and I use a similar bind for Increase density with shift+(key)
The + at the front of the bind (I'm not 100% sure it's written right and may need a $$ in there) will mean it works twice, once on key press and once on release. This is necessary as otherwise it just selects the teammate. -

Quote:It tries to execute all the powers at once meaning the last power will activate if you use powexec_name as it will override all the previous ones listed. I'm not sure about toggleon as a lot of them have casting times.I thought that was for each different command? So powexec_name would only activate once, so would powexec_toggleon and powexec_toggleoff, meaning you could technically do 3 things in 1 key press (Or more but I can't remember any more bind commands off the top of my head)?
However you can toggle off all powers at once as there isn't a casting time to toggling off. You can toggle off while resting or casting another power even.
Also, if you put a + in front of the macro it should activate it twice, once on pressing the key and once on releasing it. Might help you some. -
How does he know you are targeting through him? And no, that weird. If you're all on the same team then there is no Leeching, he loses nothing by having his targets die faster or heal him quicker. It's just stupidity.

Quote:Emphasis mine, but I'm more than willing to do that. This is an open message to anyone prepared to sell basic IOs in Wentworth for very little profit.
Were you trying to give advice? Because it came across as a demand, which is what got peoples back up. As the top price goes to the cheapest price I'm better off listing at 10inf and snaring the 400k price than listing at 300k and hoping no one lists lower. -
Quote:I craft and sell generic IOs and put them up for 10inf automatically, whats 100k these days? A boss kill or something?
I'm doing the crafter badge at the moment and have filled the SG bins and am having to sell. List them all at 10 inf and most sell instantly for 100-200inf each. Maybe it's losing me money, but it's better than deleting them and I need the space. Plus it's helping some lucky punter out. -
I'm not European and I object to being called one! I just happen to live here and have bought my copy of the game here... I'm really from Down Under (the nice one, next to the large one)
-
I'm pretty sure they are cumulative, so it's only another 25 million. It's how the rest of the badges work.
-
My only comment would be to do with money. If it's tight or short he should consider waiting for the GR:complete edition giving him everything and a free month. Otherwise the sooner the better.

Yeah, it was Kaine Le Fay that led it I think. Pretty sure it was the Moonfire as I think Hess was lead by a suicidal blaster. I was on Shaun Collins, one of the badge whores of the mission.

You can get the portal before level 25 if you run any mission that involves time travel. Pretty sure the first midnighters arc will grant it which can be run from 20 I think. You could be one a team running that from Level 1 and get the portal I guess.
