Problem there is a fresh game install will involve substantial new downloads, something I don't want to do on a capped account.

Anyone know what files HAVE to be copied over?

    Keyboard issues

I have just bought a new machine and everything runs beautifully. However I have run into an error with my keyboard.

I noticed this when some of my binds didn't work as expected. When I went into keymapping I found some of the special character keys weren't being recognised and others weren't returning the right character.

Specifically when trying to enter [ as a keybind I get nothing
When trying to enter ] in I get [ and # gives me ]
\ also doesn't work and I didn't find a key that will give me it or #

I'm on a HP Pavillion Elite with Win 7 set to UK english with a UK english keyboard. When I use the game chat all the keys react as expected, it's only with relation to binding they seem borked.

The keyboard is an HP wireless one that came with the machine.

edit: I just had a thought, I copied the game files across from another machine with a US keyboard, is that likely to have had an effect?

Even if you are sending a few hundred emails, the fastest I can see would be 20 seconds. That's 5 seconds from the time you click new, fill in the info, attach the item, and click send and the 15 second cool down. Looking at my example above, 300 emails to get the salvages sent would still take me 100 straight minutes of cranking out emails.
Actually, the 15 second cap is a pain and very easy to invoke. If you are emailing to yourself all you have to hit is reply and drop in the attachment. When you are clearing recipies or salvage it's very quick.

(It's true. London is weird. No-one talks to each other, sorta like WoW but with slightly fewer people wanting to duel you)
Having lived here for 3 years now I'd argue thats not the case. Sure, you don't chat to the weirdo next to you on the train, but I wouldn't do that anywhere. Otherwise I've found London to be a pretty friendly place.

Oh no, they do. And they all have stripped tops and blue jeans. Plus the statue of Atlas has been replaced with the Eiffel tower.
  6. Each set will have a catagory in the description. It's not the buffs the individual IO's grants that set the restriction, but the set catagory. If you got one Titanium Coating: Resistance you should be able to slot the rest of the set in there too, but don't bother slotting any that won't affect the power.

Also, the fact that you still cannot invite your offline alts into your own SG (along with the non-vault option above) shows they don't care about the loner who doesn't involve himself in the community.
Wiat... you're saying that because the decided to attach this method to email, allowing you to send items etc to other people as well as yourself, rather than recoding the vault to first allow inf, recipies and enhancements to be stored in it, then recoding it to allow it to be accessed by everyone, the devs are in cahoots with a RMT site? Riiiiigggghhhhttt

And have you considered that offline SG invites via email or otherwise might be problematic and not as easy to code?

I fail to see how it's not fair.

    Returning Hero

Welcome home. I can attest to the friendliness of the EU side. I can also recomment New Camelot as I have teamed with them a few times and had a blast.

Feel free to look me up in game @Dave N Smith, on most weeknights and always happy to team. Have a small SG, only 4 very active members and a few others if you want to join in.
  11. I need to check my other toons to see if this is true across the rest of my account, but my main badger definetly had items in WW before I17 went live and when I dropped in for the first time today to check on stuff and buy some salvage there was nothing in there.

I know there were some issues, so am wondering if I'm the only one this has happend to? I'm not to worried, it wasn't a huge amount, but am a little dissapointed that this happened.

Pretty sure Castle said he knows there is a problem there and that he knows what it is, and is trying to work out how to fix it.

Will try and find the quote.

If you have a portable hdd, a cd/dvd writer, or a memory stick with enough capacity, its a simple drag and drop. When you run the updater on your new machine, the game will pick up as normal.

So, if I'm right and that is the case, one way to get around not having the up-to-date game on disk is to periodically back up your game folder onto dvd or something - maybe after there's been a big download,or whenever's suitable.
Yeah, I had seen this somewhere, and am happy to do that. But next month or whenever I'll have to download GR which is likely to be huge too. And I'm lucky I have another machine with it on. If I had a crash and had to reinstall? I know I should back up etc, but I like disks! I'd rather install from a disk than down load GR.

I'm on Union, and logged on a toon last night, every slot except the first was changed to default for Power Customisation. Costumes were fine.

On my lowbie everything was fine, only one slot and it was still customised.

Your $15 a month is not going to pay for shipping and distribution of a product that has (if I understood what I read in a trade mag about a year ago about CoH in Europe), historically speaking, has _never_ made a profit in your market?
Unfortunatly the box will have a code in it for CoX NA, not EU. We would get the box, but not be able to apply it to our account so still have to pay for GR too. While this would solve the problem of not having updated disks (my personal concern. Last night alone I had a 3gb download! I need to install it on a new machine, I'd hate to think of the size of that download.) it's a very expensive way to go about it.

Is that possible? Last I heard there was a limit of 100,000 so that max available as emails was 2bill. Bit this may have changed.

Then you still have some buff time to use other attacks. The snipe eats up too much time for not very much damage compared to what you can do in the same time frame.
I find the aim/BU-snipe a very good opening combo to negate LT's or Bosses in a mob. I generally use one on that, then the other with boost range (I have NRG ) to smack a few more before they can fire back.

    Help with Build

Please do. I've just rolled one, but I have no idea about builds or what I should be doing. I would find this very helpful.
