Quote:Sorry it took so long for me to come back to this, but I had to stop laughing from the image of a dog trying to fit a broad sword handle into it's mouth, move around with it trying to keep the tip off the ground and then attempt to disembowel someone with it.Sounds pretty awesome to me. I mean, if for whatever reason someone creates a dog that uses a sword, how else would they use it? Carry it with their fingerless paws by some high-tech antigravity device because they lack thumbs? Now that sounds horrible.
I think your argument falls apart here:
You are already having to suspend belief pretty heftily here and the normal way of addressing this would indeed to be giving the dog opposable thumbs. The only way I could see this working is through Anthropromorphic personification, which the OP clearly isn't after. There would be far to many restrictions otherwise. -
Quote:That makes sense as the IO's still function (at a reduced level depending on exemplared level) just not the set bonus's. As the procs are the IO's power, not part of the bonus, then they should still work. Also, some IOs will still function as long as you still have the power they are slotted in.
Procs work like that I believe. So if you have a +Stealth IO in Sprint, it will work all the way down to level 1. Not sure about damage procs, but imagine they would work the same (it's only fair, you're giving up enhancement of the power in order to slot it)
I also confirmed that the Numina's Regen/Recovery will work as well (I took Health at level 20 on my /Regen scrap and it was still functioning on a Positron TF, the IO is level 42) -

True enough, i guess, but i think i'll continue using my phone's browser to access the forums and server status page just like i'm doing right now.Quote:Have you actually been on the App Store and seen the dross that resides there? Cool isn't the word I'd use.I was in no way serious. I have a deep loathing for 'i' products and am waiting for an app that will make people shut up about their apps.

Quote:See, this is where it falls apart for me... all of those sound horrible. A cat carrying a sword in it's mouth and attacking with it?For weapon powers, stick the sword in there mouth and give them acrobatic movements to simulate the various strikes using the weapon. For Archery, I'd say using the tail and teeth to fire a bow and arrow is rather specific so maybe just give them a crossbow. For Assault Rifle, a back mounted gun. For Dual Blades, a double sided sword. For Dual Pistols...I'm kind of stumped. For Claws...kind of self explanatory.
And a gun mounted on it's back... sounds like cats with friken laser beams. More an evil genius's plot to take over the world than a hero/villian in it's own right. -
Quote:This isn't a problem, unless you aren't suppling the market too. I have a toon with 45 million on him, never farmed, just sold my drops carefully. I have also done all the invention badges, selling some of the crafted items storing others. Money is stupidly easy to come by in this game. The second problem is that market prices, even without inflationary trends, are so high that it's a rather daunting prospect to be able to afford anything on the market just by defeating mobs and vendoring junk. When a piece of rare salvage is going for 3.5 million inf, and mobs are dropping around 2,000 inf, you have to defeat 1,750 mobs before you can buy it. This is the only reason why the market is as well supplied as it is: in order to buy on the market, you have to get a lucky drop that you can sell first, because the alternative ways of making enough inf for what you want to buy is quite daunting.

Quote:Oh, you might not want that... someone else will. And how do we decide what animals to give priority to? Even halving what Aett calculated is 500 animations per skeleton... you've listed 3, I would also say what about things like horses and centaurs, thats 1500 for you, 1000 for me, where do we stop?
However, some of your animation numbers can be greatly reduced. For instance, a cat model would not have access to things like swords or axes nor to the Widow or Arachnos Soldier ATs. We're talking about a cat, *not* a catgirl.
That's not to say I wouldn't like this, but i'm not sure the workload would be worth the payoff. -
Quote:pretty sure the Max is 20, not 40. Inf is an attachment, but you can also send an item with it.1. 40 before you can't send ANYTHING else.
2. *shrugs* see above.
3. Haven't had long enough to tell, I've got a bunch of EoEs sat in my mail currently, been there for about a week so far.
Don't recall there being any mention of an expiery. -
Ahh, I thought here we go again, but I could get behind this solution. Assuming names across servers work as per now, first in first served.

You need to make the teleporter at one of the forges, check the wiki for which one, and then place it using the personal items. And the available beacons should be in teleporter base items section.

I would suggest dropping the graphics to low, seeing if everything works fine and then putting them up again in small incriments to see what is causing the issues.
And maybe provide more information that 'a hamster is providing the graphics'. Do they look bad? Or is it a frame rate issue? Or are some missing? What is the actual problem?
A lot of users are struggline with Anti Aliasing and Advanced Occlusion, so turn those down/off first and try that. -
Well, going by one of the recent MA updates I would assume it's because the EB didn't have the full set of powers it should have had, meaning a loss of XP.

Quote:I'm guessing your binds would be stuffed unless you were using a standard US keyboard - no matter what you chose. That said, it's not difficult to get a US keyboard... and you can change your settings easily enough in Windows.
Nah, it's not quite that simple.
Specifically when trying to enter [ as a keybind I get nothing
When trying to enter ] in I get [ and # gives me ]
\ also doesn't work and I didn't find a key that will give me it or #
All these keys work fine in the chat and in windows, it's only with reference to binds. I think somethink in the install sets is as US cos thats what my laptop was and when I copy the files over that comes too. -
Generally on areas were 2 could potentially be available the zone one is overridden by the local one. So the hospital beds in Pocket D give caregiver over clubber. I would imagine the broken ones should work the same

OK cool thanks, thats kinda what I figured, just wanted to check.

Quote:I don't think you need to download it all over again (it's been a few months since I migrated to a newer PC, so if I'm wrong there are smarter people here to say so), iirc all you need to do is copy your COH folder. If you have a portable hdd, a cd/dvd writer, or a memory stick with enough capacity, its a simple drag and drop. When you run the updater on your new machine, the game will pick up as normal.
So, if I'm right and that is the case, one way to get around not having the up-to-date game on disk is to periodically back up your game folder onto dvd or something - maybe after there's been a big download,or whenever's suitable.
Unfortunatly doing this seems to have had an unexpected side effect... at least I assume it's cos of this, not 100% sure. My laptop was bought in NZ so has the standard US keyboard. My new PC was bought here, with a UK keyboard and the buttons are messed up.

OK, I thought I understood how the market worked, but now I'm not so sure. I thought that the highest bid went to the lowest seller.
However having seen this exchange:
Quote:Earlier today I had dropped a Glad Strike recipe into a market slot, then dropped 3 different Adjusted Targeting recipes into the market also. I entered prices & hit Post for each of the 3 Adj. Targ recipes in order. The first two recipes sold correctly. The third appeared to sell correctly. All three recipes disappeared from the Stored tab and appeared to have moved to the Sold tab. The Glad Strike still showed on the Stored tab. When I clicked over to the Sold tab, I saw that the first two Adj. Targ recipes had sold along with the Glad Strike recipe. Needless to say, I was a bit annoyed at posting a recipe worth close to 500 mil for a selling price of 125K.Quote:Ick. I assume it instantly sold? Did you at least get a reasonable amount for it, and not a lowball bid?Quote:It wasn't exactly a total loss. It sold for 375 million, which was the lowest of the last 5 by far, but it could have been much worse. Still, it was a good 100 million less than what it should have went for.
Could someone confirm I'm right, or correct me if I'm wrong please? -
I was able to access a SG base on a trial account on the weekend. I rolled one up to take create a snapshot of my toons in there. I did get kicked out of the base every time I swapped account toons, but was able to access the base whenever teamed. This was blue side.

Quote:It's likely that something in the costume piece you were using has been modified and you need to readd it. This is why they give us free tokens with each issue.I just read about 20 pages of tech problems and I see that the tailor issue is not new. I would have thought it would have reset when I changed it back, but it did not. So I will use the token.
I guess I will count myself lucky it didnt change my toons colors as well! -
Bahaha, I love it Techbot. Pretty much how I feel.

Well, That didn't work. I'll have to try a fresh install at some other time. I'm also going to try snag a normal keyboard from work and check if that works. More of a pain that anything and once I learn what the keys do I can work around it for now I guess.

Yeah, thats kinda what i figured. The install discs are GvE and I think someone said thats current up to I6 or 7
maybe if i just copy them over without overwriting any existing ones from the install the updater will sort the rest... worth a try.
Thanks for your advice.
