I'm cool with them doing that as long as I get my Double XP for Anzac day.... and pretty sure they Aussies would want it for Australia Day if we get it.
The the brits will fell left out... but they don't really do public holidays as well, May bank holiday sounds so... um.. dull. But hey, Double XP will improve that.
Then the rest of Europe... -
About all I use are guides to binds, the MM's one is very useful. I like to pick my own powers.

Quote:And.. And.. They could do all this only in North America and ignore the rest of the world.. I think that would work best.I know, right? They should make a box that has the game and expansion in it, making it easy for prospective new players to see the cool new stuff.
Then they could do some sort of promotion together with a major games retailer where people who preorder the game/expansion box through that retailer get something cool, maybe even small ingame bonuses.
They should at least make a video series that talks about all the cool stuff they have coming up, and post it on some highly-frequented social network website. -
I think the world is telling you iphones aren't for you.

Quote:I'm I'm popping in quick on the way past I'll leave them out, if I'm going to be a while I'll send them home. This is a touchy topic here and you might want to put on your flame proof vest.Do you dismiss your pets when you hit the market or just leave 'em hangin' around?

Quote:I have that one. I also have my binds file accessible on my laptop to edit on the fly. Have found it very useful for setting up my MM and testing new binds. It's hard to say.. if I found something useful that I didn't have a bind for, I'd bind it and I wouldn't be missing it anymore. Many of them have come from player requests in this forum that sounded like a good idea and we improvised. lol
I even have a global bind that reloads my global bind file in case I add something to it. haha -
Some people -rep for stupid things. I got -repped for saying I use the arrow keys. It's all silly. And + rep to you cos... umm... yeah

Quote:It's called polite. You ask for something you say please and thank you. It's social norms. I just saved you a 2 mile trek through a city zone.*Requesting a teleport and having to say thank you. It's one thing if somebody comes out of the mission or waits for you while others go in, but when you choose using recall friend over twiddling your thumbs you're not getting a thank you from me!

*Not kicking khelds from the team every time a cyst spawns. I'm sorry, but if I had you in my room and came across some giant cyst that was spewing black puffy stuff you'd be kicked out so fast you'd think I slotted SB for speed. Why am I not allowed to treat khelds the same way!And it's a game, the damage you take isn't real.

Quote:When the global chat looks like this:True. I guess I don't see "not necessary" as "spammy". I mean, with SSK, level isn't really "necessary" either. 'Course, none of it really is, it's all just an option some of us use. Heck, if I've encountered someone's toon before, I'll probably be able to tell more about them by name than by their level or archetype.
@Bobs Cool Hero (Old Mad Bob, Lvl22 Villian, Bot/FF MM) OK
It can get a bit spammy. -

As you can invite someone by clicking their global name in the chat, the toon name isn't necessary in global chat.

Quote:Wow. I'm absolutely appalled at what I am seeing here. Yes, the devs have said it's not going to happen, but let's be honest here. The only reason a lot of you are trashing this guy so much is the standard MMO elitist attitude that gets pushed around this much, "We had to walk fifteen miles in the snow to get our 50s only to have them nuked in a patch, so so will you!". It's no wonder that people have been leaving CoH in droves if that's what sort of attitude the community portrays...
I'll think you'll find that not only have the Devs said they won't do it, the OP had said that he'd just seen the comment by the Devs saying they won't do it and still asked for it... sorry, but that's asking for it. -

Quote:Yeah, it was a pain that only the team leader could see the dialogue, especially when we were all doing the missions together. It would be nice to have the clones of the entire team attack, rather than just the mission owner. It's a hack n' slash game. The new missions in i17 demonstrated that while they can move away from that design to a certain extent it comes largely at the cost of team gameplay.
I'm hopeful we see more missions like the new ones, but at the same time they are terrible in teams as you have no access to the information about the story arc (same as always, but moreso because the leader is constantly interacting with the contact) and because it essentially devolves into: hey come play my personal story arc about me guys. Which there are plenty of already in AE. -

Wow... so many different ways. I was more curious than looking for another method. And thanks to all the reppers, not why I started this, but appreciated none the less.
-
Cheers. Pretty sure if I tried that I'd end up much much slower
-
Yeah, I change TAB too. Out of curiosity... is the mouse look on movement, or if you click a button and move? I'm assuming the latter?

Quote:How do you activate powers? With the left?I use the right mouse button to steer/move my camera. It has much faster response and better accuracy than using the arrows would, plus allows me to look up or down quickly as well. It's especially usefully for those tunnel maps where the path actually goes uphill and tehre are foes on it that you wouldn't have seen if your camera was still level.
I use WASD for forward, back, and sidestepping. Spacebar is jump, and X is down (while flying).
I have 2 thumb buttons on my mouse. I use one to toggle Ninja run on/off, the other is Jump (same as spacebar)
I can understand the response time, but I never liked the old shooters with mouse look.I have Q and E bound to look up and down.

Quote:I was replying specificly to the idea of having an exportable spreadsheet. Other methods would be judges on their merits.Your post seems to think there's only a binary set of options here; a massive overload of information, or the tiny window we have. There are many steps along this possible gradient.
Then again, the 'delete in 60' rule of the market was something that I sincerely, sincerely miss, since I loved watching people gnash their teeth and whine when they failed to read something that they were told to read. Much like the farm-creators in AE, I suppose.
When was the delete in 60 days taken off?
