Quote:But if you see my breakdown of how my base is set up, I have 12 salvage storage bins, if you consider the different numbers of salvage in the game at the moment, and evenly split them among the 12 storage bins, you end up with 3 salvage of each kind.
Ummm, I'm confused on this point. When you say KIND what are you refering to? -
Quote:However, to achieve this I would imagine they would remove the arcs from the issues and release them this way. Sure, you get a new mission every saturday, but on the days in between you get none. And you run all your alts through that to get a bonus. Now, you can run the missions on any of your alts at any time and get the same bonus as always.I could get behind that. Especially if they alternated the level ranges that the arcs took place in.
They do seem to be trying to release new arcs with every issue that aren't directly related to the issue, I'll give them that. But it still means we're 'dry' between issues once we exhaust that content.
I think I prefer the way we have it now. -
Nor do HEATs. And what makes you think Superior Conditioning and Physical Perfection would be part of the VEAT pools if they did?
-
Quote:In the original GR announcement they said that new players would be automatically put in Praetoria "to put our best foot forward." Also, when my son came back for reactivation weekend he made a dual pistol blaster and ended up in Praetoria. He says it didn't give him a choice.
The first Character you create will end up in Praetoria. Complete the tutorial and you can create a hero or villian. -
Quote:Leandro's Patch was designed for the previous version and wont work for the newest one. Here is one I did, based on his, which seems to work for most people that downloaded it.
Ahh, sorry I missunderstood what you had done. And yes, I used it and it works fine. -
Quote:I think given that the EAT's currently don't have access to power customisation Widows won't get them. So, with issue 19...close-ish to release.
and Mind control, mental manipulation, and psychic blast all listed for new animations.
How many think that the VEAT Widows will gain access to the new animations?
or, opposit that, how many think we might be skipped over, for our powers not actually being specifically labeled as MC/PB/MM?
Discussion time! -
Quote:From earlier posts that will be released with I19. As I understand the Mids philsophy they release to match what is live in the game. This may be wishful thinking or I've missed something - but I had understood that the latest Mids had inherent fitness - but my version doesn't seem to. (Using v1.81 and no updates seem to be available.)
I thought (but I'm open to correction) that this version was ready for I19 builds - do I need to do something different?
leadnro, (sp? sorry mate) with the voice the ladies love, released a patch for it that should work according to a post on the first page which has a link to the files I believe.
Oh, and great work guys. -
Quote:Do you mean Richard O'Brien? From Rocky Horror Picture Show? Or is there someone else called Richard O'Brian?Yeah it is an odd question but...do you lot have any obscure/cult celebrities that you'd like to have at party?
For me there are three.
Richard O'Brian.
Brian Blessed.
Tim Curry.
Don't ask me why but I think that would be, for me, the most awesome party ever.
I know the first two are very down to earth, heck Brian Blessed even Gave his voice for a fan made prototype Sat Nav (watch to the end, hopefully it shall amuse you)
And I would love to have all 3 of them to dinner. And that Sat Nav thing is gold. Saw it a while ago and loved it. -
Quote:I don't think allowing them to keep the power would be the best idea as the player could just pick and choose the best powers from each set and end up overpowered. You did made me think, that perhaps the mimic could choose to not mimic a new attack and retain the one she is currently using. On the other hand having a notification to say yes or no to a change, could get super annoying if you are being attacked by a boat load of different attacks...
Stormy
I think a better option, to fit with the current AT's, would be to have the generics set up as a normal power set:
Tier 1 ST melee
Tier 2 ST melee
Tier 3 AOE melee
Tier 4 Build up...
etc
And then you can have a ranged version. Powers are added as above using the player version for stats and they last for maybe 10 usages (or 10 mins, or something) and then they'll be replaced by the next attack that suites. You can keep using it if you don't get it replaced.
I like the concept, but implimentation would be tough. Maybe the generic attack will take an attack from the target for your tray if there is none so you can at least get a base attack. -
Quote:I disagree. Changes to existing powers should not be part of a booster and I think it would generate more problems for them than it would solve.Inherent Fitness, as an example, is a prime candidate for a Super Booster: it's all but guaranteed that it would be purchased by the vast majority of players. But we're getting it for free. Why? It just doesn't make sense from a business perspective, so maybe there's more going on here. Maybe they're doing us a favor; giving us some sort of gift that we ought to be thankful for.

Quote:Isn't that Kinda the point?Though it isn't the same thing, you can make yourself look like one of your decoys. One of my illusionist's costumes looks like the decoys; I've seen several others do the same thing.
It's not a big deal to tab through the decoys in PvP, but it does take time. Combined with Deceive, however, it can make fighting illusionists a royal pain in the neck. -
Except the question is are the powers of the cosmic being natural for it's species or given through some other means? If it's natural for it's species it's natural origin. If not, 1 of the other 4 is likely to fit. So far no one has presented an origin that can NOT be covered easily by one or more of the existing 5.
-
Nope, not OK with that on either count. These are paid for addons. Maybe lower the price after 12 months, but earning them for free is not OK with me.
-
There's the problem right there. You are applying Natural to only Humans, impluing that all other beings are unnatural. Bit unfair really.

Quote:Sal's BadgehuntersSeems like I dont have lucky when it comes to find teams. My scheduled time for playing seems to be the opposite of big teams.
With the Incarnate stuff just around the corner I cant wait to lvl 2 characters to 50 the fastest way I can.
One is a lvl 40 hero brute SS/SD and other is vigilante scrapper MA/WP.
Since looks like I need to solo to reach 50... I would thank any advice to lvl fast as hell? Im on Union EU server (I know, it sucks)

Also, I'm on Onion, on @Dave N Smith. I'd be happy to team if you catch me on. -

Umm, origin is completly ignored at all stores. The only difference is what the sell. Go to a tech store, by tech enhancements. They don't compliment you on your great power armour. I'm not sure what you are wanting here. They don't refer to you as a human do they?

Quote:Natural is actually in game as the description for alien species that are naturally like this:I just don't see the need for it myself, any of our existing origins can easily cover aliens. Natural has been stated by the Devs to include characters like Superman, the Martian Manhunter and others.
Quote:You aren't 'super' at all; your amazing talents come from intense training and innate abilities. You might have been driven to physical excellence by some all-encompassing desire for perfection or revenge, or perhaps you are not human at all, and possess powers natural to your race. With your natural origin you have to rely on your cunning and skill. This origin will give you access to throwing knives. This attack has a very short range and deals minor Lethal damage, as well as inflicting additional Damage over Time. -
Quote:Yeah, it looked more like a drama than a comedy in those short few shots. Not like this is the first movie to have someone else play the part intended for someone else.
I would think the part that's interresting about this, is they had already been filming for 5 weeks.
It did seem to lack the energy that Michael J Fox was able to put in on it. -
Interesting experiment. Just curious on this though:
Quote:You aren't buying the ones that are expensive.... you're buying the cheapest ones aren't you?Buying up the ones that are expensive and selling them for next to nothing prices to anyone who wanted one.
However, you are giving the people listing low more than they wanted for them, although it's probably going to another marketeer who just lists at 1 inf. -
Quote:While I agree the tutorial is good I would argue that is doesn't teach you that you can't team on alignment missions as there is nothing to indicate this until you click the mission door in a team (as outlined in the OP.) That needs adjustment, nothing else though. The rest is good. The point of a tutorial is to teach people how the game will be played. In Praetoria you cannot team on the Resistance/Loyalist choice missions. The tutorial teaches that.
Personally I would prefer separate tutorials for Resistance and Loyalist and choose those at creation but there's nothing inherently wrong with the method in place. -
Quote:Give it up. Build fascists are never going to change. Besides, if I get kicked from a team because I don't have a specific power, the leader of the team has saved me the trouble of figuring out what an idiot they are the hard way. Everybody wins.
This really. Fortunatly the rating system works both ways.
Damz, don't stress, I've not once been kicked for a bad build EU side (and I'm sure I have a few.) I think it's an NA thing. I have had some comments and I'm happy to listen to advice but don't tell me I'm wrong cos I have different priorities than you. -
Quote:Did another test, this time with Patrol XP involved, same result, Mish XP bonus is hootched. Mission type is the "Get the xxx from the xxx", killed all foes first and left Clicky item till end.
Mission Start XP (Left number is toon in pact, Right number is third toon without pact, owner of mish is pact toon)
113848 - 125044
XP Prior to doing clicky to get XP Bonus
155853 - 167049
XP Gained (Start XP - XP gained prior to Clicky to get Mish Bonus)
42005 - 42005
Current XP before Clicky for Mish Bonus (from last collum)
155853 - 167049
XP after Clicky and Mish Bonus
159768 - 172054
XP gained
3915 - 5005
Difference : 1090
So again, Toons that are in the XP pact are getting less XP Mish Bonus.
Try it with the mission owner being the non X-pacted Toon. -

Quote:Ahh, but you see your build works now without Fighting. This is a bonus and you could have it without slotting (or using only the one slot) and still be better off. This is awesome news, well until I really thought about it. Being that fitness will be inherent, that will allow for another pool power to be opened up right? Thats great, but how are we going to have enuff slots to slot it?
Ex. lets say my current build has Fitness, jump 1 slot, health 2 slots, stamina 5-6 slotted with performance shifters. Although fitness will be inherent I still want to keep these 9 slots in it. So lets say I respec to the inherent fitness, and pick up fighting as the extra pool power... where are my slots going to come from to put into these new powers?Because I'm gonna need at least 3 slots in tough, 3 slots in weave just to get started. There wont be any except for the 1 that comes with it when you pick the power. Or unless I pull slots from other powers to put into my new fighting pool (rob Peter to pay Paul).
Am I missing something here? Will there be more slots availible too? Or is the fitness inherent concept more for the fact that peeps can open and use it early rather than to use it to add another pool power?
You're paying Paul more than you need too. Thats your choice, but you need to decided if you'd rather pay Paul or keep Peter at the current rate. Or maybe use Michael who works for free?
