Quote:Do you always fight 50's? Do you maximise your time in missions for drops? Does your friend? If they're getting that in a week they are farming. Try playing exactly the same missions as much as them and see if you get comparable drops. Also see if you enjoy it as much as your normal playstyle. With regards to the enventually you get lucky, that is simple hog-wash, it does not happen either. Just like a poster above, I seldom if ever get purple drops, in my entire time playing CoX, and I play daily for at least 4 hours each day, I have only gotten 7 Purples total, and I mean total! I have friends who gets that as matter of course in a week! And don't play any longer than I do, and the real kicker is he has done it with me in his team in 3 two hour sessions! Just to prove to me he can! How is that for pleasant equity?

Quote:Not sure about that, but there was an issue if you put slots in inherent stamina or health (and who hasn't?I haven't had the export builds function working in mine for a couple days either. Something about "Manifest Version: Application Update Required." But there doesn't seem to be an update available yet.
) it won't export properly. To be fixed in the next release.

Quote:Do they not all reaspawn at once? While re-spawning the GM with additional bomb runs can be fun, what is more interesting to me is that the Rikti Pylons re-spawn, and when they're all back up the Shields go back in place. If there were 2 teams in a full zone that periodically did Pylon sweeps and knocked out any Pylons that had regenerated, would the shield ever come back up? Or could the teams in the bowl simply continue killing Rikti with no end in sight, making the limit not a mere 800 merits, but many thousands in one sitting?

Quote:GR is required to participate in the Incarnate system.*edit* After looking around, a decent amount, I don't see the Incarnate system mentioned on the game box or online stores as part of the expansion. I think it's a bit confusing then that it's listed on the Going Rogue site instead of the normal CoH page, as it makes it seem like part of the ad campaign for the sale of the expansion.

Quote:I'm pretty sure it doesn't do the slotting order. AFAIK there is no record in game of when you placed a slot, hence all slots being active when you exemplar. If you check Mids you'll find an exported build will just show the slots, numbered in order from the first power. The major selling point of the Sentinal is that is exports Mids builds directly from the game. Meaning you no longer have to remember what levels you picked your powers or when you got them slotted, because it's all done automatically. Thus, you can export the build, make a few small swaps, and follow the Mids layout to rebuild your character almost exactly the way he was before, with only the changes you made, such as swapping fitness out.

Quote:You have open arcs. This isn't open missions, but open arcs. Check your contacts tab and count the little books there. There is a limit of 5 major arc, and 7 or 10 total. Also, if you swapped alighments open arcs on the other side unfortunatly count to this total.I've had 5 toons try to start on the Incarnate arc, and was only able to get it with 2 of them. The other 3 were told to 'finish the stuff already on their slates (paraphrased)'. None of the 3 had more than 1 mish on tap. Any hints on what I need to do? Any help appreciated.
And yeah they are all 50s. -
Quote:Well said. I have 2 of my 3 50's unlocked. One of them I played a lot to get his common, and then uncommon (took 1 ITF and a MSR for the common) so I could try the new TF's. The other has his common, no rush on the uncommon, but means I can join the TF's with another toon if needed. At some point I'll unlock the last 50, but not rush on filling the slot, just play as per normal. Much more fun.But due to the random nature of the random number generator, it is entirely possible that the one you play for an hour on Saturdays will end up with more.
The question I have is: Why the bloody hell is everyone so obsessed with getting everything right frigging NOW?
Seriously, play the game and you will get your lewt. If you rush to get all your shinys right now you're going to feel like you're working a video game instead of playing one. They aren't shutting the servers down any time soon, so you have plenty of time to get your stuff.
I mean, is the obsession based in some misguided notion that if you get your stuff sooner than someone else it means you are better than them, or what?
I seriously don't understand the kind of mindset that leads someone to take a video game so seriously that they actually get angry when they can't have their status symbols just because they held their hand out for them. Do their lives suck so much they have to do well in a game to feel good about themselves? Are they just jacktards that like to brag that "I got it first, you suck!"? It seriously baffles me.
If anyone can explain that mindset in a way that makes some kind of sense, please do. -
How about set random doors in the cities to reward the code to the first account to click it. Kinda like trick or treating. At least rewards you for being in game.

Quote:I noticed this, and enjoyed the safety of Hover untill someone killed the last of one of the mobs and the next wave came in with their crossbows and sniped me down2. I found myself having MUCH less difficulty avoiding face-planting compared to my melee counterparts. The swords do not appear to have a fly capability or ranged damage (if they did, I didn't notice), so they did not provide me with any significant problems. Having a solid contingent of flying ranged damage on the team would also be greatly helpful.
Unfortunatly I was the only ranged damage of note and we struggled before giving up. -
He wasn't saying he was. He was saying that people who say you should go in prepared with the curse breaker were full of it cos he didn't want external notice of what was going to happen. Lady Grey didn't tell you so you can't know without reading it here.

Quote:Ignore it, they come back when you get to the slotting section.I picked up a bug with the last little update.
When I go to use the free respec, it starts out with the now inherent fitness powers greyed out on the right side. I don't see the normal inherent stuff, like brawl and rest, at all. Once I hit lvl 4, the entire right side disappears, leaving a blank space. I can still select other pools (flight, super jump, etc) but none of the "inherent" stuff.
I sent a /bug report, but im worried that im going to lose a free re-spec by not getting the 1st one done by the 8th -
and yet you are still here.... Why? I'm here cos I find it fun. Are there no other Aussies playing at your time? Isn't there an unofficial Oceanic server? Try there maybe?

Quote:How would you determine the drops then? Enemies Killed? My emp wouldn't like teaming with you but my blaster and scrapper are in. Buffs given? The opposite! What about the poor tank who holds the agro? Maybe give it based on how often he hits taunt? Now we're just being silly. Random is Random. If someone is leeching, kick them. Most TF's could be done with 7 players, if a little slower, but if they were leeching they wouldn't be missed anyway. One more time: the person working the least getting the lion's share of the incarnate drops is not "fair." Nothing random about it.
No one, least of all me, posted about how everyone on the team should get an equal amount of Incarnate drops, although that would certain be both very nice and a lot more fair.
What irks me is leeches coming out of a TF with 7-8 shards, more than double everyone else. I don't like it. If you don't like that I don't like it, sorry but we'll have to keep disagreeing. -
Quote:Really? You take this GAME way to seriously if that bothers you.I have to agree with at least this part, since so far from what I have seen the most shards go to the person on the team who is doing the LEAST.
One person - and a person doing almost nothing, to boot - should NOT get the lion's share of shards on any given TF. Sorry, that's how I see it.
One player collecting all the loot on a team is the furthest thing from "random" in my book. -
What a great way to start the day. Thanks OP, that was comedy gold!

Quote:They are?! I'll let my blaster know he should be dying more often. And my Fire/Kin.Frankly I am not sure how you could level challenge by AT: Melee are so well made and so self-sufficient; while support are intentionally made so brittle, I can't see how to add challenge to melee with out really socking-it to the support ATs. At best relief in the abusive use of spammed mez would ease off the burden on support ATs, while having no impact what so ever on melee.

Quote:Probably not. But finishing a major Arc does. You can have a max of 5, and of I think 10 total arcs (major and minor) open. By open this means you have the book next to the contacts name, not active missions.Wait, what? Seriously, the ****ing Midnighters unlock has something to do with that?
People have found finishing the Midnighters arc works because it's an arc that seems to be often left open. And given we 'go to Cimeora' in the arc they put the 2 together. It's likely coincidence and just cos they have too many arcs as the trip to Cimeora is instanced. -
Quote:Probably because people slot them for different reasons (IE Stealth IO's) so may have more than one use for them... not sure really. Thanks! I've been waiting on this for quite a while now. I can't wait for the Update with Alpha Slots :P
One question though? Why the prestige sprints? Anything you can do in them you can just do on the regular Sprint and switch ingame if you're using a different one. Too much Clutter IMO and it's just ugly, lol. -
Quote:Don't know about the Hami-O. Mid's has some issues with the flight speed and at the moment shows it capped unslotted. Not sure if thats right.I haven't respecced in ages, but since I want to take advantage of inherent stamina, I have a couple of questions.
Fly was upgraded correct? I heard it only requires 1 SO to hit the cap now.
So, if I put one fly/end HO into Fly, I'll be at max speed correct?
The other question is, it's still irrelevant in what order I put slots into power during respeccing right?
Cheers for the help.
In answer to the second part, correct. It doesn't matter. -
Quote:I have the same problem. Perhaps the client and server disagree on whether the 30-second timer is done or not.
I believe it's cos of this, or something similar. With the new log out to Character Select option I think it works by autologging you in and selecting the server, rather than just logging back to the Character Select. If it tries to do this before the server has finished counting you get kicked back to the log in screen. -
Quote:I don't know if it was the same mission but I did a CoT mission with some friends (their mission, not sure if it was tip or not) where there was a summoned demon and possesed scientists on that Map, loved it.Just wanted to drop in and say grats to whoever did the new warehouse interiors, they're a HUGE improvement over the old mats.
Also, I dunno if this is new for i19 or not, but I did a tip mission yesterday with a 'destroyed portal corp' map that had huge holes blown in the walls and a blasted out elevator that I could jump through the shaft to get to the next floor- that was AWESOME!
