Quote:Pleased to hear it.My thoughts are higher than that, Diggis. I can tell you now what it is.
I'm giving all of characters stuff away to newbies so I can delete them.
Stay tuned for more details. Words are worthless at this moment here. I just want to "uninvest" in this game and this exercise will free myself to go on to bigger and better things. Nothing hateful at all. -
Quote:OK, just had a thought, seeing as I have discs up to a certain point which I normally use when reinstalling, where do I download it from? These are the rules for friday.
1. Post the snapshot of the application installed.
2. Post the snapshot of the application uninstalled.
3. Post the 3 snapshots of the downloader. Beginning, anywhere in the middle and the end, ok?
Also, when you say a snapshot of it installed what are you after exactly? Of the folder, or the updater? And if it's uninstalled what am I snapshotting? -
Going on previous posts I'm predicting a long essay about how the Dev's are throttling your port so you can't download and how those of us able to play are part of a larger conspiracy to convince people that having the EU servers in the US improves play for the EU players when it's clearly to their disadvantage and you're the only one who sees it so the devs are forcing you to quit.

Quote:Playing a solo blaster after level 30 is still frustrating. I could go on but there is not much point.
Eh? Really? I enjoyed it, that's when the fun starts, I have all my powers and I'm just blowing stuff up. It's why I play. Sure, I prefer to team, cos there is more to blow up, but it's not frustrating.
Anyways, sounds like your off. Gotta say it, can i has your stuff? -
Welcome to the game. A few things in answer to you.
SG's (guilds) aren't super important, but very useful. I find the best way is to just play, find people you enjoy playing with and add them to your global friends (use global, they'll show up no matter what toon they and you are on). If you find you play with them a lot and get on well ask them about their SG. It's better to get into a friendly one than a prestige farming one (prestige is what pays for SG bases and also ranks the SG's, something some people find important). I would suggest NOT joining a random SG.
ATs... anything works. Scrappers and Brutes are very easy Melee to pick up. Blasters are glass cannons. Controllers and dominators take a bit more practice. But really, take what sounds the most fun to you. I have one of most on the go and enjoy playing them all, but love blasters for the sheer havoc they create.
Finally, my global is @Dave N Smith. Feel free to send me a tell in game (if you do it to the global I'll get it when I log in) and I'll happily help you out if needed. -

Quote:You're planning on burning inf to make the 88's 'freak out'? Do you know why they are doing this?I've contemplated taking my personal fortune and having a couple of the guys in our marketing clan throw together a pile and blast up past the 88's, just to hear them do the "freak out" thing. I would wonder if they would say "not possible" etc. Would be interesting, lol.

Quote:Best part is there are 4 more than I have see, although someone said in one of them there are 11.Yeah, I rarely pay attention to post dates of threads on the first page of Player Questions. I almost never see threads more than a week or so old still on the first page, so my immediate assumption was that it was a new thread, as I didn't recall seeing them before.

Quote:OK, sure. But if your empath doesn't use Fort? Just RARA and AB?"Empaths heal, tankers get aggro, blasters kill things." Most people admit a tanker can tank without its taunt. They'll also admit a blaster can kill without its tier nine- arguably best power- and the fact that an empath can do more than heal has already been dissected. They all have other powers that, collected, can do a better job. Gauntlet, all AOE attacks with larger than five targets as their max, etc. in the tank's example. I'd rather have an empath's fortitude than it's healing aura, personally. So. Is kinetics a special AT that only has SB? Does all of its potential come from Speed Boost? Does... one/one hundredth of its potential come from speed boost? Y'all know the answer! C'mon!
Does a 'lazy SBer' who makes sure the maximum number of people are hit by FS, who uses the damage boost it got from FS with it's own powers, or who makes sure everyone's health and endurance are tipped off makes a better contribution to my team than an O.C.D. SBer who'd rather make sure that one blaster had his speed boost than heal or buff the nearly dead or damage ineffectual tank? If the kinetics did both, would that be nice? Probably! Losing the latter would hardly make a difference to me, though!
(Plus, you know... Speed boosting is boring. Fulcrum Shifting and then Rain of Arrowing on those Rikti's behinds is so much more fun for us! You're allowed to do -your- jobs different ways!) -

Quote:Yup, noticed that too. This is a problem Residentx10 has been mentioning for a while so guess he's replying to every single post he can find on the topic.Nice catch. I didn't even notice, since there is another thread about the same thing on the first page here. I figured a couple different people had the same problem at the same time, which wouldn't be the first time that's happened.
Edit: The other thread is a necropost as well. -
It has a 5 second animation? Seriously? I think maybe more like 1.5 seconds. Which isn't that bad really. I've never had a problem with practiced brawler which is almost exactly the same.

Awesome! Pure Awesome!

I just checked and I could place level 3 slots in both dynamic and level-up mode. Check you have the latest version as I recall something about Inherent fitness taking your level 3 slots in an earlier build.

I think this may be the crux of it here.... You want to be able to powergame on a casual gamers time frame. To achieve what you always could, but on the restricted time you have available now. Sorry, this game is extremely casual friendly, and getting to 50 is the end not the beginning.

Done that before

Also, the snow is only a pain because you aren't used to it. It's amazing how much trouble a little snow causes here. -
Quote:There are unarmoued Valkyrie wings too. Which look pretty freakin cool.Back when I had only a year of veteran rewards, I got really excited about a character idea for an angel character. There was absolutely no way for me to make that character, unless I completely surrendered my idea for "angel". Even now, without Veteran Rewards, the only way I could make that character would be if I could fit it with "armoured angel" and use the Valkyrie wings. If I hadn't just found a VG I really clicked with and stuck around for them, I probably would have stopped playing (again) right then and there.
"Angel" is not a complex super-hero idea - it comes up all the time. "Wings" isn't a complex super-hero idea. There is absolutely no good reason whatsoever for wings or trenchcoats to be locked away behind any hurdle, let alone a veteran hurdle. The fact that "shorts", for males, is locked behind over three years of veteran hurdles is even worse. -
Quote:No, not in the least. It's been said 100 times the game is in the content and the story, not in the levels or at the end. Only just now are we seeing serious stuff to do at 50. Leveling is a by-product of playing. I would hate to see it sped up.I've played for three years on and off. I paid for Going Rogue and the one month that came with it. Then I quit. I payed for one month when Issue 19 came out (it's great haing Stamina and Swift early and for free). I'll quit again after the holidays. I just can't play his game for as many hours as I used to. Gaining levels is still a grind, even though it's much faster than it used to be.
Personally, I'd like the game to be more friendly to the casual gamer, which is what I'm turning into. No subsciption cost, only fees for expansions like Going Rogue and the costume packs and such. I'd also like to see leveling get much faster, so that I can play only a few hours a week and see good character leveling progress.
Is anyone else drasitically reducing their playtime and feeling like I do?
As for F2P, no thanks. I'd end up paying more through the expansions etc than I would on subscription likely. -

I would like to see some more simple tactics from enemies. Maybe not minions, they are minions for a reason, but definitely for LT and Bosses. Something that would occasionally make them head for the blaster that has done all the damage to them so far or the controller who keeps holding them. If someone is constantly hitting you you deal with it, not with their bag of hitpoints friend.

Quote:If you stay rogue then you'll be able to travel back and forth as you please. Thanks very i have a look at that guide in a min
But just 1 last question if i keep going over to heroe then i stuck there till i do the same thing to get back to villain side ?
Like its not a quick pop over to the over side to a few missions then pop back as my m8 does not have the addon you see and i don't wan't to stuck on heroes side if he comes online and i can't team up as i am on the other side.
Thank you. -
What is this overnuke... and where can I get one? Sounds like fun.
Quote:My tactics are always "punch dudes" regardless of AT played or even the game I'm currently playing. It works out more often than not.(I was said blaster and that became my standard reply when anyone asked what we were doing)

It's not possible to activate more than one power at a time. There are a couple of workarounds which I'm not expert on but are as follows:
1: Have the bind activate one and then set another to Auto which will give you 2 powers firing.
2: Set the bind to have +$$ at the start which will run it upon key press and then again upon key release. Again this will give you 2 powers but multiple presses will fire them all. This will only work with toggles unfortunatly.
This is because:
If your bind has multiple powers it'll try and fire the first one, then the second one which will cancel the first, then the third which will cancel the second and finally the fourth which will cancel the third and fire. If you have the +$$ in the bind it'll run the bind again and as the 4th is now active it'll fire the 3rd one off. Press the button again and 2 and then 1 will also fire.
This doesn't work with Macros I believe.
