saw this the other day and made me think of this thread. I think you'll see why.

[/ QUOTE ]

I was hovering over the 'close window' button when the video suddenly got interesting...

Bwahahahaha!

If poor Dark Kerse ended up tied and gagged in a closet somewhere... I think we have a few suspects....

DOH!!!

That's right. We took it -in game-!

Top that!

I call for a disqualification on the grounds of inappropriate usage of ERP!

On my Deviant Art Gallery can be found various beautiful art works I've had commission of her as well as some prose written by me about Desmodas.

I have not yet added Desmodas by Wassy to my gallery, but she's probably come the closest to capturing the concept of the character.

Who is Sinllema is a rather lengthy and unpolished writing, but Sinllema and Desmodas are very closely tied together, so many tid bits about Desmodas are revealed there.
5. Congrats! That looks great. Love the use of shadows. Very cool.

Ribbons are also useful for tying stuff up!

[/ QUOTE ]

I like where this is going.
7. 1) I'd be quite happy with anything you come up with. First round was pretty cool to begin with.

2) OK, in my case, not sure how much different a swim suit would be from her current costume....
8. NICE, I LOVE IT!

Great job on all of these.
9. You could add the thread to your favorites, for easy reference.

MagicPretzel, are you running Vista?

On some systems, Vista tosses the screen shots into a different folder.

Run through.
The timing on that was awesome, right as infernal finished fire breath, my character was midway through the slice animation.

Great screen shot. I like that one. Reminds me of the Cough screenshot I posted previously.

Front View

Not sure I understand the question. You can just swing the camera around in front of you. On most configuration, just hold down the center mouse button to move the camera, leaving your character in place.
13. Well, it should be noted, Cloak of Darkness is the only totally obscuring power. CoD is very optional on many builds, particularly if you take Combat Jumping.

My DM/DA scrapper only runs it when it's needed, and that's usually for short periods of time. My DA/DM tanker never took it.
14. I don't have one of CoD and CoF off hand, but I could produce one quickly. I generally don't take screen shots while running CoD, not really much point.

I DO however have a classic DM/DA screen shot, but it requires two disclaimers. 1) It's not my character, I just kept the screen shot. 2) What you see being done in this screen shot is no longer possible in today's game.
Famous Hung Lo's Shadow Maul screen shot.
Look for the red circle around the ink stain. That's OG and Cloak of Darkness.

screenshot help

Hit the "prt scr" button. On some keyboards is says "print screen".

This will create a screen shot of what you see in game. By the default, the UI is removed, but you can add it if you wish.

Screen shots are automatically stored in a "Screen shots" folder under you CoH directory.

To find it, click My Computer-->C Drive (assuming you installed CoH there)-->Progarm Files-->City of Heroes-->Screenshots.

.but I cant see if they have horns on there heads

[/ QUOTE ]

This might help. Desatanica does have small horns but she's self conscious about them. She tries to hide them with her hair.
17. Just happy to be on the list, I leave it to your discretion.
18. Desmodas, my first character, was heavily influenced by two of my guilty pleasures at the time I roled her; Xena and Buffy. The Xena influence was the heaviest as I liked the idea of an oppressive warrior that reverted and then tried to make up for her misdeeds. I liked the concept of a "chosen one", or rather a hero who never chose to be in their position and is constantly add odd with their 'destiny'. I had Faith more in mind from the buff series, but most of her characteristics I transferred to
Desmidas , (Desmodas sister) to explore the concept of destiny absolving responsibility.

Most of my characters are conceptually tied to Desmodas for various reasons; mainly for a combined desire to un-demonize non-evil demons. (it's a fun concept) They all pseudo-worship her as royalty despite her insistence not to.

Desmagda (BS/WP) is only loosely tied to Desmodas, and is based on large part off of Valeria from Conan the Barbarian. As kids, my siblings and I loved to re-watch the assault on the orgy scene. Valeria. I wanted her background to be more CoH related so I made her mother a succubus and the character involved from there. Desmagda in black most resembles Valeria's orgy assault costume.

Several of my characters start out being based on other characters, and then altered significantly avoid being an outright copy.

Desatanica for example came about from Lady Death images. I took away the sword, made her a defender and evolved the story from there.

Some associations are rather obscure.
How Desnocta Blades came about from this is something I'm at a loss to explain.
19. I can't help it, I'm a sucker for this motiff.

Desatanica's art debut will be...outside of the posting rules of these forums.

I suppose I she should get at least on piece that's postable
