what do is I have a separate bind for each costume slot, mind you that takes 5 keys but still it might be the easiest way to go.
how i do it is
CTRL+A "CCe 0 cclightning"
what this one is is switch to slot 0 (the default one) using the Lightning Costume change emote you can do is copy/paste this into your Keybinds.txt file throught notepad. -

I like the bind that I tie to the Nuke on most of my blasters (won't do it for the AR/ or Arch/ or probably the DP/) "pull my finger" then the nuke goes
