Quote:Sent a whole lot of inf myself. Global was actually UP at the time. I go to dinner, come back and all my inf is gone. NOT happy. For the second time in less than two weeks I've encountered a bug with the ingame e-mail system. When I have a rather large amount of inf. on one character I have been e-mailing it to myself at my global to claim on another character for use.
This morning after the servers came back up after maintenance I was trying to claim some inf. from my e-mail, but no matter how many times I clicked it I couldn't claim it. I was still able to send e-mails though. I sent a few e-mails and then logged off. When I logged back on all my e-mails were gone. I also noticed that all my global chat channels were missing from my windows. So I logged off hoping when the global channels came back up I would be able to see the e-mails I sent.
I logged back on after a few hours and I was able to access the e-mail system, but all those e-mails I had sent after I logged back on after maintenance were missing. How do I know this? The time on the e-mails. All the e-mails I sent before the server went down this morning where there, but it said I didn't send any e-mails after 8:58 am EST.
So from this observation the e-mail system has a bug with it that will let you send e-mails with inf. and it's either because the e-mail server is down or something else, it's causing the e-mails to disappear. I contacted support again because they did help me recover my inf. the first time this happened, but this is a much large loss of inf. and is getting to be annoying being the second time this occured. -

Quote:First Rule of Fight Club: NDA!The ability to change sides is in Praetoria so if you can't access Praetoria you can't change sides. You get access to tip starting at level 20, but as for alignment changing you need to have access to Praetoria. The source of my information is a couple of my SG friends that were in the closed beta.

Quote:SourceNovella no offense intended but can you cite a source for your info?
My experiences so far have led me to believe the side-switching will be more a part of i18 than GR, and you won't need access to GR to switch sides.
I understand that the whole idea of GR is the side-switching thing - but I was under the impression that if you didn't buy GR you wouldn't be able to visit Praetoria, but would still be able to switch sides.
Unfortunately at this point I'm not allowed to discuss what gave me that impression. -

Quote:Also, +Movement bonuses count as different from +Run bonuses; they stackDevote an extra pair of slots to Swift as well. By itself, it won't help a LOT, but, in combination with the GOTA +run speeds you won't feel as if you're wading uphill through cold, chest-deep molasses.
My Stoney never calls for Speed Boost. Never. -
It used to be even less.
I think it has to do with server space. Longer names also means more possible names, and thus, more toons. -

A mind control set; one that let you capture enemies as your pets.

Quote:Graphical limits are what have prevented any Water based powerset.I think the reason they didn't do this was because of game engine constraints. Something to do with not being able to make sufficiently good attacks with water physics.
BAB has said it would need to look good for any player(using the powers or simply viewing). The Water effects could only look proper on the high end video cards.
A powerset that could only be viewed properly via Ultra Mode(as example) is not acceptable design. -
My worst? I was kicked during the last fight of the LRSF for doing exactly what the leader told me to do. He also kicked everyone else claiming I'd quit and the SF was 'over'.
I haven't done the LRSF or PuG'd ever since. -
Quote:I sent a lvl 25 Damage IO to myself. It never appeared to any character, including the sender. Are you certain the inf is gone from the sender? I had something similar happen to me. Searched my email: nothing! However, when I logged back in to the original toon, the influence was still there.
I have also had all emails that WERE in my inbox with nice attachments expire too early. Those were recovered by a petition and some auxillary follow up information.
Good luck! -

Quote:It Appears the Devs are aware of the issue.I sent an email to myself with a huge amount of inf attached to it and I got lucky. I sent it just as the db server went down. The mail sent, I got DC'd. When I get back on, no email, gone, poof.
What do you think my chances are of getting that Inf back?
Or is that a stupid question?
It remains to be seen if any of our lost emails(and attached things) will reappear. -
Globals/Market/AE/Email have been all intermittent since last Thursday's 12 hour maintenance.
I suspect it was prep work for the upcoming Market Merge for Going Rogue. It all is lagging and losing information. I've lost an enhancement to email oblivion, and the market locks me out "too busy to process your request" only after 5 transactions.
I think the new system is trying to access a merged market that doesn't yet exist, and loses packet of information along the way. I don't believe anything is going to work correctly until GR goes live. -
Quote:It's been a bug since Issue Two.Just a minor bug, probably not even worth reporting. But I was soloing Scanner missions just now and in the last two I encountered a 'Quantum' enemy. But the kicker is that I'm a Scrapper. Again, is this worth reporting?
Get a Kheldian on team, you catch 'space herpes'. It annoying and never been fixed; likely never will. -
I lost one I tried to sent when this 'crash' happened. I'm just glad it was only a generic lvl 35 Damage IO.
I'm not sure what the heck they did on the 12-hour Thursday, but the market(and Email) has been intermittently functioning since. -

To my knowledge, yes.
I don't believe the proc fires beyond the first target, however. -
Quote:Some folks skip Grounded, but it is cooler than it seems. It grants huge Resistance to End Drain, not recovery debuff, but direct resistance to drain effects. The Immob Prot is low, but works even if your are not on the ground. The KB requires you to be at ground level, but is mag 15 instead of the usual 10 from Mez protection powers. Without it you'll need to rely on KB IO's and/or Acrobatics.Electric Armour seems a little rarer than other sets for tanks so I want to make one. I have had experience with a variety of tanks (Fire/SS, WP/WM, WP/Fire, Ice/EM) but am coming back from a 20 month break from the game and things seem to have moved on considerably. None of my alts have really top notch builds so I am looking to put a character together from scratch.
I am in the fortunate position of having my own SG base with around 500 set IOs stored (including lots of Kinetic Combats, I seem to have been lucky in predicting the love of that set, and have around 20 complete sets) so I am in a position to have a fairly well geared tank.
I am somewhat indecisive on what to combine with my electric armour though, my thoughts are mainly Ice, Stone or Dark at the moment.
As well as that I was wondering about electric. It looks like a very tight set to build around, no obviously skippable powers, though obviously if defense/res is high enough then power surge could be skippable, also I'm thinking Grounded could be skipped (using IOs for kb resist)
Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts/sample builds/suggestions
Power Surge is your only way to gain Toxic Resist in the Set. I don't skip it for that reason alone. However, orange inspirations can fill that whole too.
(If you are able to slot Purple Sets, +5% Toxic res is full set bonuses for a few of the sets.) -
Quote:I believe so.Most Dual Pistol attacks have a chance to KB when not using any of the ammo toggles. If I slot a KB slot proc into the attack (say, Force Feedback %-rech), will it have a chance to fire off even using an ammo type?
I slotted Lockdown into Suppressive Fire, and the +2 Hold Proc still fires with Standard Ammo(when it only does stun). -
Quote:I always take epic armors. They're a good home for the Aegis Unique(mez resist is good!), and Steadfast Res/Def. I usually six slot with 5 parts Aegis(+AoE Def) and Steadfast.Im doing a respec on my fire/energy blaster and Im trying to deside on whether to take Repulsion Bomb or Temp Invul. My build is light on AoE since I wont be taking Flame Breath (took Blazing Bolt for the snipe instead) and only really have Fireball as my AoE. I have Temp Invul in my current build but other than in teams (with enough endurance buffs) and against elite bosses/AVs I dont wind up using it much. Against elites its stacked with FoN to pretty much cap me at S/L resistance. So Im wondering if Repulsion Bomb is good enough to skip Temp Invul. PFF and FoN are the two powers that are a must have for me.
There's a good share of Smash/Lethal running around, good to have it always handy. FoN can't be up all the time.
