Dual Blades was pretty overhyped before I11 was released. It wasn't a terrible set, it just was too much flash, too little substance.

I loved the Television's references. And you can't beat Major Flanders Chicken.

If there is to be a DPS meter, it shouldn't be something visible to the entire team. Maybe an option for the Power Attributes display?

Every time I've done this mission I've had no problems. I just killed his bifurcations as they spawned. I never saw him spawn more than two or three over the course of the fight. If you're getting hit hard, pack some purples/oranges/greens.

I really don't understand how people are having so much trouble with Trapdoor. I soloed him on a Blaster at base difficulty. Inspirations exist for a reason.

Everything about your post made my head hurt, but I'll bite.
I don't think Elec/Elec can solo an AV (assuming no inspirations/temp powers) mostly because of Electric Armor. If you're going to be soloing an AV, it means taking as little damage from the AV as possible, which usually means having 45% defense to one or multiple positions. Since Electric Armor is a resistance based set, this means that unless the AV misses, you're going to get hit every time it attacks. Unless you're fighting an AV that causes only energy damage, you're going to get hit hard, and even with Aid Self in addition to Energize you'll be hurting. I've soloed more than a few AVs with my purpose-built DM/SD (softcapped, enough +rech for the highest DPS attack chain) and even with Siphon Life firing every few seconds I still got killed a few times by lucky hits.
I haven't even gotten to Electric Melee yet, but I don't think it's capable of the single-target DPS needed to kill an AV. It's generally considered an AoE set. I'm not saying it's impossible; I haven't crunched the numbers, but it's doubtful. Even if you did have the best single-target attack chain Elec Melee was capable of, without sufficient damage mitigation you're toast. -
I'm very, very excited about this. HBO seems to really be putting a lot of effort into doing justice not just to the story but to the characters as well.

I'll see it. I can't not watch a big budget summer movie with robots.

I think we need to focus on the real issue here. Side switching made AVs weaker, which means that casually purpling my Warshade using AE farms has forced me to resort to gold-farmers (on the devs payroll, I might add) who ruin the game by griefing Hamidon raids which nobody does anymore because they're all playing Fire/Kins in Praetoria, which is unplayable because Ouroboros missions don't give enough merits to buy purples, which are stupid and useless and overpriced and hoarded by a select group of players who are really the developers who sit at their office all day and try to come up with ways to make us stop giving them our money.

Most new technologies suffer growing pains. It takes a few generations for the kinks to be worked out. Look at LCD screens. I can remember a time when no gamer in their right mind would use an LCD monitor because the refresh rates were so abysmally low. Now they're standard on pretty much every single piece of technology with a screen.

People call me Demo for short, but I've heard people in Vent say it with a long 'e'. It's Deh-mo with an 'eh'.

By itself, Rain of Fire can cause problems because enemies hit by it like to run. Groups that are scattered take longer to kill because the effectiveness of AoE attacks is diluted. If used in conjunction with other runspeed debuffs, like Tar Patch from Dark Miasma, it's great.

Agreed. I've probably learned more about game mechanics from reading the Scrapper forum than all the rest of the forums combined.

I was on one just under 16 minutes. Anything slower than 20 minutes feels almost glacial.

I had an SS/Inv Brute that sucked like an industrial shop vac. Deleted it at 46, rerolled as SS/WP and got it to 50 within a few months. I've got an Inv/SS Tank which I stripped of IOs. The only reason I keep him around is to hold on to the name for when Scrappers get SS.

Late to the party, but I really enjoyed it. It definitely kept to the spirit of the book in most respects, and I wasn't harumphing in indignation when it strayed. It even ended where I expected it would. July can't come soon enough.

I hit 1040 or thereabouts yesterday.

I'm liking inherent Fitness much more than I thought I would, mostly because it's having a much bigger impact than I thought it would. I'm no longer inwardly groaning when I load up a low level character.

I stopped reading here because I knew there wasn't any conceivable way in which your rant could be more unintentionally hilarious.
