It was great to see you in Pocket D WW, and take some nifty publicity shots which I'll be selling in the foyer.
A cut of the profits? I called first dibs...with no returns..yeah it's legal, so (as my solicitor says) nyer. -
My fave tank one would definitely be:
"They aggroed me!"
Defender: "You first!!"
Brutes/Doms: "Whatever killed you made me stronger"
Trollers: "What time is it Mr. Wolf?" (Definitely a little obscure, but hey, I'll bet someone gets it, even if it's only me :P)
Corrupters: "Rogue isle Debt collection agents"
Corrupters: "Buffing the tough with ebil stuff" -
"Blaster: Uber Nova to fallen over in 1 Mob or less"
"Blasters: Team players for the lonely psycho in everyone."
"Blasters: about to lose the post-nova blues"
Warshades: "Calamari express, with a sidearm of energetic doom"
Warshades: "What dwarves up, will fall down."
"Warshades: 1..2..3 times(forms) a hero." -
Hehe, most Inf I've ever had is the 220 mil on Sic.....which I'm adding to with careful use of the market...:P
-
Shin....*nudges*...I think Warlock was one of the guys we were stood yammering to for a great deal of the time. In fact I'm pretty certain of it :P
Yeah any further news on the PPD codes....I'm currently languishing in birthday joy so haven't had chance to check, but it wasn't there when I checked last. -
I shouldn't worry about it mon matey, the sketch time was stollen up by Shin and Irric, so we wouldn't have had time to get one done. They got some great sketches though
Plus there's always next time; hope Bris is doing well. -
Wow, didn't know Neil had pulled out too; Kat and Jason deserve medals for their stamina
Twas one hell of a lot of work getting through all the requests and they both did a sterling job.
I enjoyed myself tremendously, was good to chat to peeps face to face rather than through chat channels (and from one of the many layers of Onion)...which reminds me: gotta set up a Hess Tf on that server.
Pity I could only make the one day but at the end of Saturday I was destitute....and I so wanted to meet The Fonze... -
lol, well they would have given out the codes if someone had remembered to bring them :P
Kudos to Kat too as she took on an almighty task with aplomb....great to see everyone there, was great fun. -
Due to the sheer size of the event the entrance is pretty big, queue wise it gets eliminated very quickly. Plus as Shadowghost says above you have to actually get the part of the NEC where it's held. Which means you'll get to play with the travellators
you'll want to walk at that speed forever.
Queues for the stall are a different ball game. Some of the regulars wont be there, so a few vaniquished places, but even so you have peeps gathering for their chance. No Aero to talk to though, I presume GR will have some new minions to help him with such things (for instance: to lure Mike Collins back to his desk when he wanders off). Plus Kat's great fun to talk to while peeps are sorting out their details.
Ooh just out of curiosity GR, last year we had a "mission" that you could complete to get a neat little reward, is anything like that going to happen again here? Maybe to get the PPD codes? -

If I ever need to make a quick getaway I just run out the back into the shed, cut the anchor ropes and shout "So long suckers" in a high-pitched Joe Pascali voice as I float away.

That's one of the greatest escape plans ever conceived...*sets to collecting helium* -
Weeeell, if you fancy, you could sort out a screenshot with the colours you want and post it to us, we'll get him and Kevin coloured in (I believe they have all your sketches on photobucket) and we can drop it off to you when we next see you.
-
You have a shed filled up with JUST helium? I take it it's glued to the floor in some manner.
-
The sketches are definitely worth it, I've saved more money this month, with the aim of getting a heap of stuff done, than I think I've ever managed to scrimp away from my wages. Even with this respectable amount I'll leave skint, but happy
At the very least I need to get Booble Coloured, and I'd like to get a pic of Darlis.....so much to sort.... -
Dune MMO? That would be interesting.....As long as you got to ride the sand worms
And provided you got the chance to play Harkonnen, as well as Atriedes *knows he spelt it wrong but is too lazy to leave the site and track down the proper spelling*
As for cosplay have no fear: I shall not be coming as Delph or Sic, as the sight of me naked to the waist is not something I wish to inflict on the public. Nor shall I be coming as Darlis or Booble as spandex doesn't suit and I just dont have the natural female attributes. I shall be going as purest Rodrigues P Beaumares IV
All in all, looking forward to this, hope it's as packed with stuff as last year.....I dare anyone to go up to Henry Winkler and do Fonzy impressions....or alternativelly get him to sign an inflatable shark. -
i'd be very surprised if Power Cusomisation didn't appear in the near future. It's one of the things the devs have been pestered about for a while now, and we all know that devpestering is the way to get development.
He did state in the interview that a graphics overhaul was being looked at, so I'll bet (as has been previously mentioned) it comes in with that.
I'd say Going Rogue was almost inevitable too, the fact it got mentioned in the survey earlier this year, and the buzz it generated, speaks volumes about how much it's wanted, so once again devpestering becomes development.
I'd be amazed if they start developing content for one side instead of the other: the days of that are long gone now, especcially as it's now one game instead of Heroes or villains. All new stuff will be co-operative: zone wise, with little tweaks to missions to fit each moral standpoint.
What about the oft touted 3rd faction....Heroes, Villains and.....Gods? Children? Monsters? Fish? Cows? Pollution? Anger...? -
I see where you're coming from, plus: a little, often, is a nice tactic: keeping the goods trickling out as they develop them. However, I suspect that regardless of the timescale they eventually settled on there would still be all the doom and gloom we get from some folks today. People get used to things very quickly and when one of the little packets of content (Chapters I guess if we're sticking to the comic analogy) didn't deliver what they wanted, there'd be the same outcry.
Dont get me wrong I'm not suggesting it's a bad idea, I just dont think it would change anything. -
Aye very true, the price is reflective of the value you get, I pay in 3 monthly blocks for my account and every month for my Girlfriends account.
It's one of the cheapest subs in the business, no doubt, and well worth any of the monthly rates that you can pay. 3 months just gives me a little bit of breathings space what with the rest of the stuff that I have to sort out :P
Oh and I'm by no means rich...:P -
I think initially it was 4 per year, which became 3 when viewed realistically.
I'm not entirely sure what more can be added to make an issue any bigger. Okay they initially had the Architect in there, but even without it we have: a heap of new costumes; 2 new powersets; 2 entirely new reward systems; a completely new team dynamic; fundamental changes to PvP (which, through feedback, has resulted in a new defense concept) and base recosting, plus the much needed unshackling of the Base Editor. Not to mention: numerous QoL features, UI changes and more missions.
I'd say it's pretty big myself. Cant wait to see what they load into I14. -
Eve has everyone on one server.....it's a scary scope in that there game.
hehe I can live without moving hair, but I think GG would feel betrayed if it wasn't at least commented on with the advent of the new graphical upgrades. -
I agree, it would make sense to throw the new base editor in there with the shiny new mission creator. It would fit the issue thematically, and give acces to something that's been needed for a while.
I guess we shall see
Ooh yeah, *neeeeds* the multi level bases, I hope that's one of the options.
Saying that though: the unconstrained Base editor in I13 allows a lot of freedom, add: stacking, vertical control and multi levels and I'll be a happy bunny of various shades (so as not to conflict with other forum members) -
Just pay for it in 6 monthly chunks. If you're concerned about paying over £100 a year, 2 shots of £44 (or whatever it be nowadays) will be a godsend.

To keep this thread firmly tumbling away from the rails I'll just add that personally I always preferred EQ2 to WoW. Both are good fun for a while, but EQ2 is the place I return when I have a need to hit goblins with sticks.
Plus I get the station account and can go shoot people in Planetside whenever I fancy
Right back on track, and to attempt to answer a question above, I heard that the Architect will be in the form of a Simulator. You go through a door in a special building and get to play with your mission.....I'm sure this was mentioned and railed against on these very forums but my search fu is weak due to the onset of Curry so I'll just leave it there. -

Plus no AV in Positron.
Is there any SF or Arc in Villains where you can kick his butt? I suddenly feel this urge after his I14 announcement...

You could go jab Mender Silos, you get to beat up nearly all the devs on his tf.
SS1 is the most soul destroying TF in history, after playing that through from beginning to end (and it's not a difficult TF in terms of team vs enemies) you appreciate Posi's TF for the simple fact that it isn't SS1. Posi is a pain, I dont mind Synapse and Citadel is tedious (not to mention its debilitating effects on the Elfling team at Omega Sektor)
My personal favourite Tfs are Ernesto Hess, Numina and Sister Psyche. I love Eden and all the Strike forces, as they feel so much fresher and more interesting than the TFs; all the co-operative tasks are good fun too.
As Infurnus said above I heard the devs were looking into the possiblity of making Posi a worthwhile TF. It would be nice if that was sooner rather than later. -
Simple: if I'm on a team I want to be part of the team, not just a number who's subsequently asked to leave. If I'm no use to the team as anything more than the 8th member I have better things to do with my time
Some people are prepared to do it, others aren't, I'm one of the latter and my search comment says so.
Dont get worked up about search comments, the whole point of them is to give information; it's certainly not a personal attack or anything, just someone saying they dont want to hear from fill requests/farmers.
