Good on you (except, I'm sure, for all the superfluous "u"s...hee!)!
I thought seriously about making such an offer to a few people, but then realized it would end up like it always does with me, taking the task and never finding the time to do it.
So, kudos! Many people don't realize quite how off-putting bad spelling and grammar can be. -

I can empathize. I had to be a little clever in my Norse Gods arc, because Thor is also the name of a Marvel character.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's actually one of the easier ones, as the god was in the pantheon of a half a dozen different language speaking areas and has lots of names. Thunor, Donar, Tor...also it's somewhat Germanic, so non-functional umlauts can make it look OK, too (Thör). -

What is up with all the custom characters that Mez in lowbie missions?? There is a reason the Devs have very few Mezzers prior to level 10.
[/ QUOTE ]
People are still figuring out how it works. Give it a bit of time, it should iron itself out.
Not that you're wrong, of course. It's just part of the learning curve. -
If certain badges are more important to you than playing MA that's certainly your choice. But I wouldn't expect them to change it from how it was intended just to accommodate you.
-

I think you missed the point.
Other than badges requiring test mode - you can still find problems with and improve your arc by publishing it and playing it.
Basically you choose between badges for being in test mode, and xp and tickets for being published.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, I think you're missing the point that some (I might even guess most) of us care jack-all about the rewards, and only want finished works available to the public. I CAN publish a half-arsed written book and put out a later printing that's finished, but why would I want people reading the half-arsed part? -
[ QUOTE ]
It's NOT that easy. I had done these steps exactly, and the arc wound up there twice, with the unedited one with a new number.
[/ QUOTE ]
Bizarre. Some kind of bug, then, is all I can think. -
I haven't tried to save any costumes in live MA yet, but the facial slider's auto-saving wasn't working on test (for a while, neither was the height slider, but they fixed that), so after making a costume I habitually saved it, and it did save the facial settings (I had to reload it every time I edited...some of my facial settings are pretty complex and would be difficult to duplicate properly).
Are you sure you didn't accidentally save one that didn't have the facial settings adjusted yet? I did that a couple of times (ARRRRGH!) If you're sure, then this may be another bug we've got working. -

The arc in question isn't meant for solo play. It's supposed to be a TF and will come with bold color warnings.

Good man!
And I was only "smart mouthing" anyway. -
True. I just realized that when I was reading it in another thread. D'OH moment for me, as I've actually done that.

Here is what the difficulty settings (known as "Notoriety") do in detail.
ParagonWiki is our bible and should be clutched protectively to the chest at all times. -

But, OMG, someone might say something mean!
The whole thing baffles me.
[/ QUOTE ]You have a strong, confident, self-secure ego. Not every one does. Some of us are very sensitive to negative responses, and are very reluctant to repeat experiences that might produce them. You know the nerdy looking kid who sits by him/herself at lunchtime, reading a book (or whatever the modern equivalent act is)? The one no one talks to, who never tries to talk to anyone else? That guy/gal is not doing it out of any conscious choice. They are truly afraid of getting a negative response, and staying isolated is actually less painful than taking the risk of being hurt. Note, not "less painful than getting hurt", but "less painful than even taking the risk of getting hurt."
The anonymity of online communications allows us to actually speak up and make ourselves heard. And some of us actually have some very valuable things to contribute. Yeah, some of us are sphincters, too, but no more or less than the confidant ones.
You make us face the risk again, we're more likely to just shut up again.
[/ QUOTE ]
I suppose. It must just be impossible for me to empathize with. I was that kid, too, but emphasis on "kid". I got over it when I grew up and got out in the world. Hope my bafflement wasn't too offensive (It probably was...I have too smart a mouth sometimes). If so, I'm sorry. -
I don't think you can put line breaks in the actual dialogue, can you?
-
No idea. Out in the middle of a big room. I didn't approach in a particularly careful manner even (as I've tried before when testing). I must have gotten lucky and just stopped at EXACTLY the right point or something. It was in one of those big three tiered office rooms with the staircases and the elevator on the third tier at the end (like the Green Fog office only normal). I was actually shocked to see it go off and not follow immediately by the "active" and being attacked.

2) Escort rescues seem to always say the unaware text at the same time as the aware text (I've walked right up to them with stalkers to test this).
[/ QUOTE ]
I had one actually work properly in test mode for me today. One, since it went live. -
No apologies necessary. I almost made a similar joke myself.
"...which is a bit ironic in a game we can't walk in" -
The stripe patterns on the shirt alone kill it for States. I've tried in the past...it just doesn't look right. He's using two different patterns at once for the stars and stripes.
The cheater! -

Also, fire blast + ice blast with both on extreme on an AV is insane. I got fire rained + ice stormed and pretty much got stuck mid-air (was hovering) while my duo partner got blasted to death and the rain dots killed me.
[/ QUOTE ]
I need to make one of those, put them in a battle with Ghost Widow and just go in and watch.
REVENGE!!! -
One of the characters in my first arc is a buddy's toon, so I made her an EB with Electric Blast/Devices...both on Extreme (well, at the time, you couldn't choose, so it was just Extreme).
Oy...
**facepalm**
My 50 tank on Unyielding with Unstoppable on still went down like a pole-axed mule. I couldn't attack, I had no end at all and I couldn't move. -
[ QUOTE ]
Collect/destroy, same differance. All I need is a box.

Maybe it's just the cadence but "Good. Bad. I'm the guy with the gun." just leapt into my head. -
But, OMG, someone might say something mean!
The whole thing baffles me. -
True, although 30% of the raters being "insane" sounds ridiculously high to me. Slightly under a third? One out of three? I'm not buying that for a second.
But...we shall see what we shall see, I suppose. Idle speculation, at this point (OK, you did the math, so we won't call it "idle"). -
So far...so far. They're making us walk before we run.
-
Sounds workable. **takes notes**
Good lateral thinking, folks.
EDIT: And you're looking for "$name" -
[ QUOTE ]
What I want, though, is for the characters to appear in non-combat roles without invoking the level limits.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh, I see now.
Not possible at the present time. The system doesn't currently differentiate between combat and non-combat roles as far as level is concerned. Skulls aren't going to be in the same mission with States.
