  1. Is being in two groups WAI? I thought it was a bug (and an annoying one).
  2. **looks at your title**

    It's "grammar"

    **runs away**

I've always thought the Luddites were horribly underused!

    [/ QUOTE ]

They really don't like being on your computer much.
  4. Is there somewhere where we can actually see the .x of an arc? I KNOW how regular math rounding works, but there are people who are asserting both that it's 4.1 and 4.5. Some people don't use the standard method of "rounding". The question here is, where is the official word on this? Sorry if you've already answered this, Two, I'm not disputing your theory or your math. I, like Cap'n Tigger up there, am just looking for source info.
  5. I'm not sure I follow. Why could it not be wobbling between 4.0 and 4.1?
  6. None of those contradicts "because it gives a decent reward of some kind". Yes, the rewards are the badges, or the merits, but it's farming. Because one intends it to be.

I have no problem with farming at all, but to say "everything is farming" is ludicrous. Farming is a very specific thing.

and it's not directed at you. i really love players who refuse to say they "farm". doing the same tf more then once is farming. doing RWZ raids more then once is farming. getting defeat badges is farming. doing your friends missions after you have already done the same ones is farming. get the point yet. anything can be considered farming. i'll tell ya what, ill do your arc and if i get more then 1 ticket or badge it's a farm.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I was given to understand that farming was doing the same mission over and over again because it gave a decent reward of some kind and for no other reason. Isn't farming more about intent than anything? I don't think most of those things you mentioned could be called farming without the intent.

Solution: Only the smart & talented people can give feedback. The rest of you GTFO my interwebs.

    I like this one.

    When can we expect implementation?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Soon™

    [/ QUOTE ]

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you pick up a straight line.

    [ QUOTE ]
Seriously, turn the page. Find a new poem to recite.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, but not that one. I had enough of Bob Seger whining about how hard it is to be a rock star back in the '70s.
  9. As far as I know, yes, this is correct. The critter is the critter is the critter. Now, I don't think it actually changes them IN the arc until you edit and republish, but that may have been just me getting in ahead of the server's slow update one time.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
EDIT: Unless you mean quit the arc, in which case I was talking about stuff like surprise EBs at the end of a five-mission arc.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes, I did. Pardon my lack of clarity.

  12. That's not so much a bug as it is a warning to make sure your other computer has the same info as the original.
  13. I don't know, but that doesn't sound right. The system keeps you still on the arc, like TFs and Ourborous. I wouldn't think that would change the setting. Not saying it doesn't, just that it doesn't sound logical.
  14. I'm not sure how much faster it could be. Quit, change difficulty, restart. The only part that's slow is getting to the Notoriety contact (which hopefully the devs are listening and we'll get them in the MA buildings).
  15. My only problem with this thread is that I'm going to have to get a notebook and start writing these down, because my weaksauce machine can't handle having my browser open with the game on very well.
  16. No. UNpublishing loses your ratings. REpublishing retains them.
  17. Just to add, I believe the character creation screen does not reduce from full screen like the main window does. Much like in Icon/Facemaker.

Oh and BTW some mis spells are on purpose. I have an arc involving a Country singer that is kidnapped by an Evil Record Company owner because he wants her to sign a long term contract with his label. Big Bubba and his brother Little Ennis are Good Old Boys (okay so actually they are BAD old boys) and drop the "G" off a lot of word ending and such. LOL I got feedback saying the story was great but I needed to correct spelling errors. I explained to the rater they were ON purpose and I do know how to spell GOING correctly. LOL

    [/ QUOTE ]

Were you using an apostrophe for the missing letters (goin', y'all, etc.)? That's how you usually indicate that.
  19. If the internet has taught me anything, it's that anonymity is more likely to cause some people to act like jerks than the other way around.
  20. Just curious, were you able to do that? And, yeah, that wouldn't make me too happy, either.
  21. If you're not worried about the stars, then just put the person on ignore and move on. Some people are just jerks, you can't do anything about that.

If you are worried about the stars, I'd report it. I don't think the powers that be are too keen on "I'm mad so I'm 1 starring your arc!" behavior.
  22. Probably not, but the Dev's Choice arcs do give salvage and recipes instead of tickets.
  23. Technical etiquette here is that when you use the box at the bottom instead of the reply button you put <QR>, but I don't see the harm as long as context is clear. Different places, different habits, I suppose.

    Another question along this vein...
Is it possible to have your boss spawn as a normal, regular boss for small groups/low difficulties, and as an EB with a larger group/higher difficulty?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think it DOES do that (according to spawn rules). I seem to recall my EB was a boss when I played it solo on Heroic. I am in no way positive about this, though.
