As well as making a character called Dirty Sanchez, I imagine.
Face it, we're just dealing with a bit of an overkill sensor and I'm hoping the devs give it a look and make it a bit more practical. -
I think they're failable because it's possible for the enemies to kill them. Doesn't happen very often, though.
-
You can only rename them if you use them in a boss encounter, and only THAT one.
-
On the other hand, I like the fact that there are lowbie only mishes out there. Yesterday I created Virtual Lad who will be trying to go from 1 to 50 in the MA only (no PLing or farming, just treating it like playing the normal game). So I'll definitely be giving your arc a look in a couple of levels, Je, and give as good of feedback as I can.
-
What? You mean "helping" doesn't mean "do it for me"??? Get outta town!
-
You can pull the mission to the first position (they're drag and drop) and just test that one. Then put it back when you're done. This isn't readily apparent until someone tells you.

As to arcs that are out there, this first one is a shameless plug, an single mission arc of mine designed for lowbies.
Arc ID: 1154 Low Tide
Played a TA Defender solo, from level 1 to 10 on test with this one, so I know its possible

Started a new MA only toon today (Virtual Lad) and tried this one. Perfect starter mission. Interesting looking (using mobs other than standard Hellions and Skulls) and easy enough to do, while giving me a chance to get the feel of the powers (trying a couple of sets I haven't used before). And even a boss I really didn't have too tough a time with. Nice, reasonably short and sweet, and I ended up just a hair short of level three. Perfect for what it's designed for. -
True. It may be that just MA isn't recognizing the door. Definitely a bug others have mentioned, though.
-
Tough call. Worst case scenario, if you throw it out there, and people start letting you know it's buggy, you can always edit or unpubish it to fix it. But, you take the chance of a rep hit for your mission not being up to snuff.
-
I think this is a known bug. Most outdoor maps don't have a "door" to bring the hostage to, just the big red box, that the system doesn't recognize as a door. Things are, in technical terms, a bit ^%$#ed up at the moment.
-
Certainly a possibility, I'm sure. It was something, anyway.

Developer's Choice arcs give no tickets at all. They give the same drops as the "normal" game. If you were getting tickets, it wasn't a Dev's Choice. There's an icon next to the Dev's Choice arcs identifying them as such.

Only to "Achiever" types. For many of us, it's about creativity and new missions.

I doubt trying to reason with the types who only want mass tickets is going to work. They see everything else as pointless. >>

Just reminding them. Plus letting the other people out there that don't really care one way or another about "phat lutz" that they're not crazy (or alone). -

My arc originally was gonna be big. Until I found out about things like file size limits, and number of published arcs limits. So, I decided I have to limit my arc to 3 smaller arcs.
I've completed Arc 1 of 3. I feel confident its ready for publishing. I've not yet fleshed out parts 2 and 3. So, its gonna be a while before they are publish ready.
The Story Title will be formatted to indicate Part "1 of 3" etc. So, players would know its a series, and also be able to find the other 2 parts once they are finished.
I really want to publish part 1 now, but I feel like maybe I should wait until parts 2 and 3 are ready. That way players can run the whole story. I mean, it could be another 2 to 3 weeks before 2 and 3 are ready for players.
Looking for friendly opinions on this. Thanks!

It's commonplace in any serialized fiction. If you think it's ready, I say go for it. Plus feedback on the first arc may give you ideas or criticism that may apply to the other parts before you even put them out. -

Okay, this one puzzles me. Why are Prisoners exploitable?
[/ QUOTE ]
Very very low risk (they only have a punch and throwing rocks). I don't know how much xp they gave but it must've added up when people load the whole mish with them. Obvious solution would be to make them worth almost nothing at all, then we could have them back for the flavor. -
Good job, devs. Loving every second of it!
Now, on my wish-list... -
[ QUOTE ]
But why?
[/ QUOTE ]
Reportedly because they're exploitable. I hope they bring them back, too, and add other low-level villains with very few powers. I'd like to make a lowbie mission for people and it'd make it a lot easier (of course, there are other factions for that, but none so nearly "normal"). Heck, so they're low risk (only punching and throwing rocks). Make 'em worth almost nothing xp-wise then. -

Yes. It's a little more regionally specific than "redneck" but carries the same connotation. It's primarily used to refer to residents of Florida, Georgia and Alabama (and peripherally, other southern states) in a derogatory manner.

..Uh.
Right. You go on believeing that.
Its not like almost every non-farmer has ever gotten the following tell or something similar
"U want to farm?"
"No thanks, I don't like farming"
"Lol y? dont u like having fun? stupid n00b"
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope. Never have. Every farmer I've run into on Victory in three years has been polite. When I decline, they just say "OK, thanks" (or some variant). -
For Paris Hilton I think you might get away with something like Madrid Marriott or something like that. Get creative.
-
Removed as exploitable, I'm pretty sure. Definitely removed, though.

Lots of good "exchange reviews" posts over on the "MA: Stories and Lore" board if you want more exposure. I've gotten a few more "hits" from doing that.
