Quote:Well, you liking it doesn't keep it from being bad, and it being bad shouldn't keep you from liking it. Those are two different concepts. It's very clear to a critical eye that Rob lacks knowledge in anatomy, design, consistency and ethics. But, if you like his flashy and "surface" style, then you like it. That's your call.
Samuel_Tow has one aspect:
Actually, I've looked through that list people consistently bring up to slap Rob Leifeld, an I find I like most of the images there. Sure, there's the odd complete disaster like that Captain America pic, but I actually enjoy the guy's art style. Not necessarily his chaotic designs, mind you, but his general art style and proportions.
Maybe that makes me weird. I don't know. Considering the characters I have, that wouldn't surprise me.
Plus, in general, don't look at his Hawk and Dove stuff. Those drawings are more Karl Kesel's (the "inker") work than Rob's. -

DumpleBerry reminds me of some really silly people:

I think it's safe to say Castle told them, at least about our desire for such a thing.

It was changed back because it was always intended to be changed back. It was only removed so they could fix a bug and return it.
That said, yes, there are several threads of people (I included) who would like the option to turn it off. Since it's a buff (not a power like teleport and its prompt), that may be problematic for the devs, though. -
Quote:They did? When and where was that? I seem to recall that maybe that's what Amazon said, but I never saw anything from NCSoft/Paragon Studios other than July 2010 and then Summer 2010.
geeque can document, please?:
They actually quoted a release date of July 26th. -

Quote:Just FYI, he's Ferro Lad.
Lightfoot needs a small correction from a life-long Legion fan:
You could not be Ferric Lad, as that is a name used by DC comics for a member of the Legion of Super Heroes. -
Argent would be the perfect name, but is undoubtedly taken or blocked. Something with Argent might not be, though. Argent Agent has nice alliteration, but he's not really an agent of anything, is he?

Doubtful. From all we gathered before, there wasn't going to be a Praetorian market, just the possibility of WW and BM outlets there (even that wasn't confirmed, IIRC). Now I think our choices are a merged marketplace there or (only an outlier), none at all.

To be honest, that didn't sound much like a "bad pug", just inexperienced players. It's not like the def was freaking out on you and blaming you like most of these stories, he just took it in stride. A little patience and communication outside the missions probably would have straightened them out (not that it's your job to straighten them out).
I guess what I'm saying is that if you thought that was a bad pug, you really are hanging out with your SG too much. Or maybe just enough. -
It would be nice, but I've heard none of this either. Be more than happy to cheer if someone can confirm this.

Quote:That sorts itself out. It's a variable supply and demand system. Things are worth exactly what people will pay for them.
Prof_Radburn asks an odd question for this thread:
wonder how they are going to sort out the price differences between hero and villian markets -
Quote:Oh, I'm weird and I know it. I even have little "mini-games" I play with myself, like trying to pinpoint my position without using the map just using the surrounding architecture as my guide.
KingSnake is just bored with the same old town:
Fair enough. Maybe it's just my ingame age showing, I think at one point in time i may have been more "excited" about seeing the sights. And i'm sure i'll be eager to "explore" the newer zones coming in GR. But still.. to me, a contact in a zone should have contacts for that zone. It just makes since. Like cops have ares they cover, there jurastiction. Always hit me as both odd and slightly or epicly annoying that the founders fall people were so worried about what was going on in brickstown.. and vice versa.

Quote:Well, maybe by "between friends" he meant two cups (and five bucks is still really kind of sad for coffee, but that's the Starbucks junkies for ya).
Crimson Vanquisher is aghast:
10 bucks for coffee? -
Quote:Y'know, I was just rereading my statement and noticed that myself. No predictions, then, as I don't know what Praetoria will offer, but still hanging with "tossed up in the air to restabilize itself".
Silver Gale calls me on it:
The market merge is duet the same time as GR comes out. -
Quote:I have my suspicions at least part of that is just habit by the playerbase of doing their respeccing at the levels they're used to, but also noted.
Kelenar notes:
Apparently so, since recipes at levels that are multiples of five sell for a lot more.
But, I get it, I get it. No complaints other than not thinking it will affect the market in the way put forth, but that's a side issue and not the reason for doing it anyway. -
Quote:To be honest, most of it is actually Rob's steadfast refusal to actually learn anything about art past what he did initially...which was copy comic books. He gets a nice bit of dynamics out of a lot of his work, but everything else is so horrible it's hard to care.
Samuel_Tow is sort of there:
Most of it is actually crappy perspective. -
Quote:"See that one right there? Mary Ellen Moffat. She broke my heart."
KingSnake compares scars:
Mid I6?Try running FF missions Per I1 and having every... single... one of them send you to Brickstown... back when there was no tram in FF so you had fly to Talos tram and connect to bricks.. only to finish the mission, and fly back.. cause you didn't get the phone number till you nearly maxed the bar... only to be sent to bricks AGAIN... and AGAIN... and AGAIN...
Quote:This is epic game, let me assure you, but it is not an "explorer" game IMO. -
Plus, y'know, Jennifer Connelly before she got all haggard.
