Being an adherent to old-school writer ethics, I never make anything publicly available that I haven't done my best with.

Relevant here? Not really, more of an old habit.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    /signed...twice...thrice...infinity.

No way would I put something out there unless I knew it was "ready".

Whole thing could be taken so wrong, and you know it

Appart from that, sounds like fun.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I've already made several "playing with yourself" jokes to SGmates who have themselves in their mishes.

Yes, I AM that lame and incorrigible, thanks!
  3. Eh. That's a matter of personal taste. This one's got a lot of stuff I want. The Cyborg pack didn't. So I'll get this one and not the Cyborg pack. It's not "weak sauce", it just doesn't have stuff you personally want.

EDIT: BTW, if I felt like you seem to, I'd probably unsubscribe until the Coming Storm got announced.

I'm unbelievably surprised that people are willing to pay... for nothingness. yeah ok fine... costume pieces... that do nothing, but maybe make you look a little different. But ultimately it is of no real benefit. Although...... now that I think about it, if it helps you win costume contests... some of those have a pretty good pot... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. But beyond that I just dont get it. Why pay for this stuff?

I am not calling anyone down at all for doing this! I am genuinely curious, what are you motivations to paying money for this?

    [/ QUOTE ]

You are aware that the incredible depth of the costume creator is one of the bigger draws in this game, right? And that they "do nothing" unlike WoW's is actually a plus to many, not a minus?

It's probably more important to super-hero geeks like me than gamers, but that's one of the draws of this game, too.

Subject: Super Booster II: Magic Details!

    [*]Mystic Fortune Power:

Ever wanted to have your fortune read in game? With the Mystic Fortune power players will be able to offer to read each other’s fortunes. Having your fortune read gives a power buff based on the Major Arcana of the Tarot, and can give a positive or negative effect on that character for the next 20 minutes.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I sure hope the effects of this power are deletable before 20 minutes ... I don't want some terd I don't know, running up to me, using their power, and now i'm debuffed for the next 20 minutes with no way to prevent it/remove it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Having a "Would you like your fortune told?" pop-up with "yes or no" would be better. That way you can only take the risk voluntarily.

I believe that the 'Nazi' issue has something to do with Germany and the rules that Germany has towards the use of the word. Someone from Germany can probably shead some light on this.

    Hmnn.... Dad-gambit!

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd bet this won't work either...I tried to make a custom NPC named 'Policeman' and it wouldn't let me because it contains 'Iceman'.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It didn't let me duplicate my perfectly in-game acceptable character, the Black Bullseye (western style character, no resemblance to DD's) either, although I did get around it with a hyphen (the Black Bulls-eye).
  9. [ QUOTE ]

Why would anyone who wants these in game items wait?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Lack of available funds. I just had to spend $20 on more slots. I'll get this, but it may have to wait.

Or just the Legion of Valor thread. It's pretty much the only thread they post in.

(And how in the heck did I ever play at those resolutions.... Just after "upgrading" ... ok, replacing... a dead 5200 with a 6200... )

    [/ QUOTE ]

I know what you mean. I started off at 800 x 600 and wonder how I ever saw through all those windows to hit someone (I did a lot of careful turning to hit that "sweet spot" in the middle so I could click on someone. No, of course I didn't know about TAB! )

    2 years old today!

Seems like it was just yesterday that I was rolling up my Robots/Force Field Mastermind on Virtue, then re-rolling him 4 hours later when I realized I spelled his name wrong.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Proper form would have been to whine to the devs about character rename for two years. Oh, wait...
  13. I was in an earthquake here in Michigan of all place, back in..I think '85. My wife (then) and I were in a big mall, and things shook a little. My first though was "Man, that must've been a big truck going by..." because big trucks shook our little apartment some. Then I realized I was in a huge concrete mall that no truck was going to shake. Read about it in the paper later, I believe epicenter was in Indiana.

Of course, Californians probably wouldn't even have noticed it.

EDIT: Looked it up. Apparently it was '83, and centered in NY state...

    It was BaB's first, too!

    [/ QUOTE ]

It was and I gotta say, not impressed. But I grew up in the south and midwest. I've faced down hurricanes, tornades, thunderstorms, hail, sleet, blizzards, you name it I've been in it. Got myself into a load of trouble by venturing out into a hurricane with a trash can lid when I was a wee lad. I was trying to turn myself into an untethered kite in 100+ mph winds before my mother caught me.

This earthquake just rounded off my exposure to natural disasters. All I need now is a volcanic eruption to complete the set.

Okay, so sure it was surreal, but no more surreal than vibrant green funnel clouds or standing outside in the eye of a hurricane.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Tidal wave? Avalanche? Mud Slide? Wildfire? Gotta catch em all.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You left of the musical Cats, but then, there's some disasters no one should have to experience.

    Hurricanes I know, even Tornados.

I'll stick with my Tornado Alley! Give me "cuts a fine little line of destruction" over "affects dozens of miles in every direction" any day.
  16. Doh! I didn't even notice that. Ohhhhhh, Riiiiiick!

    Correct link in my siggy.

  20. Sounds like you've just been unlucky with the randomness. I've been getting a ton of costumes very quickly. Heck, I got "Ostentaious" on one toon before getting ANY of the other non-costume badges.
  21. Leave the timer. Griefing is bad enough as it is.
  22. Very nice, but I'm not fond of the proportions. The heads are all so big!
  23. Having loads of fun, digging the new costumes, and have no problem with them fading after 14 days. Pass along "Another triumph!" to the devs, LH.

Well, seeing as it exists on the internet, DA probably has a lot of furry porn and anime porn anyway. You got off lucky.

    Also, lol DA.

My childhood was pillaged, burned, and [censored] by the internet. Nothing is sacred anymore.

The firs time I saw Scrooge McDuck and his three nephews...well, nevermind...

    [/ QUOTE ]

If the internet has taught me anything, it's that whatever kink you can think of is out there somewhere, and a whole BUNCH that would never cross your mind!

I used to run a set of message boards that had a nice, innocent She-Hulk fan board. I had no idea there were a bunch of "transformation" fetishists out there! I found out quickly enough.
