  1. Try [Provoke], use your debuffs ([Weaken] can be pretty brutal), and get the unique IOs for boosting henchmen resistance/defense.
  2. I'd like to thank everyone for the compliments. Means a lot to me, I'm glad you got something out of it.

This is something I intended to go over in the coming section where I go over each of the primary and secondary powersets with specific information. Particularly storm was going to get a big writeup concerning the endurance burn.

Thanks for reminding me. This was something I planned to have in the Artificial Stupid section, but it completely slipped my mind.
  3. I think I'd just make a warshade.
  4. I invite you to check out my bots/traps build, posted on my blog. He's not proc heavy, but I still think a good deal of it is clever.
  5. And now you know why I never updated my builds to use the Nucleos.

Terrible comparison. One is something we know they want to do but will take art time, the other we know nothing about, and the third is a well known dev defined exploit they warned us they would fix.
  6. Someone is aware of the situation now. It appears to be a bug at this point. I'll keep you guys in the loop.
  7. Just tested this. Yes, something changed.

I can no longer use my binds to drop forms and execute powers like I used to. In the best case, this is a bug that will get fixed quickly. In the worst case, it's an intentional fix for some reason and from now on I'll have to hit the buttons twice from now on.

Either way, I'm pretty honked off.
  8. Self plug, I recommend checking out the MFing Warshade guide in my signature. Warshades can be a lot of things, but simple is not one of them.

Yeah, thanks. Got it fixed already.
  10. Here's my take on how to play a mastermind: The GD Mastermind.

If you have any comments and such, please keep them to the guide thread so I don't have to keep track of it in two places. This is really just a pointer.
  11. Hey everyone, I'm back and bringing a new guide to you today. This time, it's for the second most fun archetype I've ever played. Thanks for reading, and I hope you get something out of it, if only just a laugh or two.

The Got Dam Mastermind. (Spoken in authentic Samuel L. Jackson)

On his own, a Mastermind has less hitpoints than anyone else, deals a pitiful amount of damage, and has little to no self defense. All of his powers cost more endurance, and often for less effect, than they would for anyone else. A Mastermind, on his own, is the least effective and least efficient character you can create. The strength of a Mastermind, however, lies in the fact that he never has to be on his own.

The Mastermind is the City of Heroes take on the ever popular "pet class" in other MMORPGs, except here we call them henchmen. Every Mastermind be able to summon up to three tiers of permanent henchmen with two levels of upgrades. As if the veritable army itself was not enough, the Mastermind also chooses a secondary powerset that is dedicated to supporting his army. There are a lot of gears trying to work together here, and it is not easy to get the most out of this grand machine.

When you do take all those tools and manage them properly, you create a truly game breaking good character. You create The Got Dam Mastermind. This guide will be dedicated to helping you maximize that potential and get the most out of your Mastermind, but I will not start the guide at the level cap with the top end gear. I understand that you have to crawl before you walk (et cetera), and with that in mind, I will be providing the tactical advice to succeed as a Mastermind at all levels and regardless of budget.
  12. I see I may not have worded my suggestion correctly. I'm not asking to retro anyone who got an Mo badge with the use of iPowers. I just want it changed so you can't earn them in the future without them.

Just like when there was the exploit that the -1 difficulty created. They realized it took away the challenge and adjusted it, but didn't take any badges away.
  13. Yes. Dechs is and will always be ... well ... me.
  14. I'm not sure what I want out of a new MM set, but I do know that the last thing I want them to be is a recycled enemy group.

But in this solo characters simply ignored the enemies they ran past and soloed a crystal while all of the surrounding enemies attacked them, ignored the enemies and ran to the next crystal. The enemies simply were not a challenge or a threat.

At the end of the ITF to get the 300 kills they flew to the towers and used ion judgement to simply wipe out hundreds of foes (presumably multiple ion judgement, but I don't know). Wiping out 300 ITF took maybe 1 minute.

There is a difference between doing at TF as fast as you can - which I am fine with - and the TF not presenting a challenge except how fast you can run or fly.
I'm curious, was the difficulty set to +4?

If not, then it's just the fault of the leader for not presenting a challenge to the team. Although, most likely, they didn't want the challenge.
  16. The TF challenge settings should have "no iPowers" as an option.

That option should be required for the old Mo badges. MoSTF and the like.

That sounds LOW to me, but is there some mechanical thing I'm unaware of that makes it signifigant? Thanks.
Yes there is. Please take the time to read my guide on defense and the softcap.

But they should still get the classic one.
  19. Whether they are mobile is not the question. Most of these powers recharge as fast or faster than their comparable versions in other sets.

What point is mobility when recharge is the primary limiting factor in "steamrolling teams" as you put it?

Either you have never played /traps or never played it well, because you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

How about you state yours? You have nothing but baseless opinions and utter nonsense in your post.

Traps is no more stationary than Dark Miasma or Thermal Radiation. In fact, Melt Armor takes longer to recharge than Acid Mortar.

Again, cite your own damn evidence.
  21. I would totally use the kittens on at least one male character.

Forbin, I do believe you read an ette where there was not. I also do not believe a paid for option suffices for something female characters should have had since day 1 with the males.

    The OP clearly does not.
