    Thanks, EK.

But the real thing here is that this isn't even an in lore absolute rule. We have seen in the lore where non-incarnates defeat incarnates. It happens.

I'm going to stop you right here. I have never once attacked your character. I invite you to quote anywhere that I have. My issues have been with your opinion and how you defend it, as well as how you have represented my opinion.

Your arguments are rife with ad hominem, false dichotomy, and straw man fallacies. Those aren't the only flaws your arguments hold.

You are the one who opened your argument by calling me childish, a failure as a roleplayer, and insane. Among other insinuations.

We're done here. You've shown your colors.

    What this guy said.

This is a phenomenal level of terrible, the smallest reason being a basic understanding of the phrase "Epic Archetype."
  5. That was way more enjoyable than expected.
  6. Lots of simple stuff:

Gravitic Emanation should not be slotted for damage. It does less damage than Shadow Bolt. This is the power that should have your stupefy set.

Inky Aspect will be good with two slots, three tops. Two accuracy, one stun duration. The base stun duration is already 8 seconds and you'll be reapplying that every second you maintain contact. The endurance cost is 0.07, so slotting any reduction in it doesn't do much.

Black Dwarf Antagonize no longer needs accuracy because it's autohit. Drop that slot and leave just the recharge.

I'd completely drop the slots from Dark Nova Bolt. You'd see more use out of those slots by adding them to Black Dwarf Mire and Sunless Mire. I'd add two recharge and an endurance reduction to Black Dwarf Mire. Sunless Mire could use another Recharge.

I'd remove the Endurance Mod from Eclipse and change that to another Recharge. That will take another twenty seven seconds away from its recharge value.

Dark Nova blasts don't need two accuracy enhancements each because Dark Nova provides that 9% tohit buff. Swapping those out for recharge would probably be best.

I borrowed a piece from your speech, AIB. Hope you don't mind, but it fit perfectly. x)
That was indeed epic. I love how much purple and brightness there is. It's a consistent sort of chaos that really showcases how awesome we can be en force.

Yes, that's me doing an /em airguitar in a high collar cape in the lineup.

I'm not against helping people work on their projects, I've spent a lot of time giving advice on the forums for exactly that purpose. What I am against is the idea of things I've worked hard on being replicated without any in game effort whatsoever.
So it's ok to shorten one type of progression and not the other?

You know what... I need to apologize and stop posting here. This is something that should be taken to PMs. I'm sorry for derailing your thread so far.

So... do you resent me for posting guides on how to play? Effectively making this strategical progression for people a bit shorter?

Call me old fashioned, but I play to have fun. Doom 3D was awesome with infinite ammo and health.

But seriously, will simply buying these enhancements suddenly make these people as good as you?

Then here's where we differ. The point of any game I play is to enjoy my time spent playing it. Sometimes that happens because I progress through it. Sometimes it happens as I smash things in the face.

Different people enjoy different things in different games. What I don't understand is how them selling purples on the market affects how you enjoy your game.

And the way I see it, you can still work hard and attain these things. Nothing will change once these are being sold on the market.

I would just feel like I wasted a bunch of time because 10 other guys I knew completed it before they even played it.
I don't get this sentiment. You "beat the game" your way, and someone else just paid to unlock it. He shortchanged himself out of what you would enjoy. It doesn't take anything away from your accomplishments. He doesn't post videos of a warshade soloing level 54 AVs. Even if he does, he can't boast the "I earned all this stuff the 'hard' way."

Nothing they do can take away from what you have done.

I just don't understand how. It's just another way to use your resources (time) in exchange for goods (enhancements).

No, but it would be nice for you to avoid the strawman logical fallacy. I never said the incarnate system should be ignored. My characters have simply developed extraordinary levels of power that have nothing to do with the Well of the Furies. The fact that they are stronger than yours likewise has nothing to do with the RP of it.

Again, a clever attempt at a strawman. I never said I do not accept the Incarnate System. I will repeat myself so you have a better chance at understanding the simplicity of it: My characters have attained power equal to and perhaps surpassing that of yours without relying on the in canon methods (i.e. the Well of the Furies).

Again with the supposition that because I chose not to follow the Well of the Furies, I must therefor not unlock and slot incarnate powers. Nothing you can say will change the fact that I can demonstrate precisely how (that is to say, measurably) more powerful my characters are than yours.

I don't need the arena to do it.

I don't need AoE to do it.

I can demonstrate how my characters are flat out better than yours. You can invoke all the canon you want, but if you cannot demonstrate your level of power, it really can't mean anything because I can just as easily say "my character found other ways to be as powerful as incarnates," and then flick your forehead and turn you into a newt.

EDIT: You really shouldn't call someone childish when you're the one throwing an opinionated and intolerant tantrum, all while using a slew of logical fallacies anyone with an education should be able to spot.

*Warning. Strong opinion to follow, but it is nothing personal. I have seen this argument before and this is my canned response.*

Could you please define your "hard work"? Is it a few hours a day buying, crafting, and selling things on the market? Is it spending a few hours a day farming AE maps to sell bronze ticket rolls? Is it a few hours a day farming Dreck map for purple drops?

I design nuclear power plants forty five hours a week. I also have a family and a house to take care of. What the hell makes your hours of hard work more valuable than mine? I don't have time to complete the "sanctioned methods" of obtaining purple enhancements. If I want to spend some of my "hard work" to get purple enhancements, why the hell shouldn't I?

In fact, I could do it right now. There are plenty of ways to buy influence/infamy for cash. They just happen to be against the ToS and virtually unenforceable. Since this is already happening today, selling purples in the NCSoft market doesn't change anything. All it does is get the money that's already being spent on influence to go to the people developing the game.

That's an incredibly harsh, intolerant, and arrogant opinion if ever I've seen one.

It's not a matter of "can't" work in that story, it's a specific desire not to.

If I am infinitely and immeasurably weaker than your incarnate pather, we can either decide that in the arena or by some contest of how fast we can defeat enemies. If your acceptance of the incarnate path makes you more powerful than my character but you cannot demonstrate that in game, then it's no better than saying your car is faster than anything on the road because you have Formula 1 stickers on it.

My character doesn't need the well of furies to be stronger than yours. I'm sorry to burst your bubble.

I heard that song for the first time and knew exactly what to do.

This is some serious complimenting. I thank you kindly!

Well, to be fair you can either be wrong or be fixed.

We have no public information saying that they are or are not working on new Archetypes. Whether you want to believe the absence of proof of the positive is equivalent to proof of the negative is your decision.

    You have simply chosen poorly.

For instance, I could just as easily as you say "They never said they're not working on them, so obviously that means they are." Both your statement and my example are equally flawed.

I'm very interested in a Warshade, and I've had fun with a Peacebringer before. I've got a pretty good plan for powers up to the 30s or so, although my slotting is where I'm really unsure. What gets my which slots when, what's my priority (apart from frankenslotting RECH into every slot I can stick it in), that kind of thing.
I have an entire section in my guide about cheap frankenslotting. Posting from phone... More details to follow.

EDIT: 12 million is super cheap, so you're pretty much restricted to the frankenslot budget. You can't expect to have a perma eclipse build on that budget, but you can still get a great character. My recommendations are finding the cheap recharge where you can (things like a Stupefy set in Gravitic Emanation) and using any merits you have to purchase LotG + Recharge IOs.
