Combat readiness>Curshing Uppercut>Burnout>Combat Readiness>Crushing Uppercut is one hell of a lot of burst damage. I don't know if it's worth it, but that should make anything short of an av dead.
-
Dark melee can use it for the attack chain for the gods. Shadow Maul>Flurry>Sands of Mu complete attack chain that requires 0 recharge, is end efficient, and looks cool.

Anything/Martial Arts. Storm kicks +10 Def to everything stacks with any def set and adds a layer of protection to resist sets. Avoid taking taunt aura until you can seal with the aggro. Most of the enemies in the sewer trial are very basic, so the teams I've been on have steamrolled them from level 3. With Martial arts just try to go after bosses and lts, the squishes can handle the minions at this level.

I really cannot wait for this set. I am so going to have to make costume change macros to swap out the rock on a stick, railroad sign and rocket mid combat for a real "Hulk SMASH" super strength set.

I'm at work so I can't tinker with the build, but here are a few thoughts...
1. Follow up>Slash>Focus is better dos then the eviscerate chain, especially when you add an Achilles heel proc.
2. six slotting an attack with a purple set is generally a waste, as the six slot bonus isn't that great and the damage io puts you far over the ED cap. I usually five slot a purple and drop the damage io for another damage proc.
3. you have purples in focus and eviscerate but no melee attacks. At the very least you'll want the purple proc in there for slash or followup, especially if you drop evis from you single target chain. -
I mostly play melee, so my answers are biased towards melee sets.
Electric armor is an interesting set for the alpha slot in that it can benefit equally from cardiac, spiritual, and musculature. It has the highest resists in the game so it can cap S/L and Elec resist on a taker with cardiac. It also really benefits from spiritual to grant permanent energize and boost the Regen grated by it. But with musculature and overslotting Power Sink, you can completely drain a mobs end with a single application of power sink.
If you don't want to worry about recharge at all, it looks like 0% global recharge Street Justice chain will be very close to a crazy fast permanent hasten chain. Combine that with willpower that has 0 benefit from recharge and you have a very sturdy set that can chase other things than recharge without any real loss in power. -
-
I'll suggest a Katana/Willpower for an easy leveling experience. Katana has good St and aoe damage and parry to make willpower even more sturdy. Willpower only has one power that is a click so no redraw problems from being a weapon set. The good defense/resistance/Regen of will power will mean almost no downtime.

Quote:Storm kick will give def to typed def as well as positional so it's good for typed def and resistance sets as well. It will work great with any set.MA used to be the ST scrapper damage king. It's very appealing for Tankers because of the defense from Storm Kick. I have a Shield/MA Tanker that is enjoyable. I would pair MA with a set which is based on positional defense, as the extra 10% from Storm Kick would be most helpful there.

Quote:Spinning Strike is a finisher, and does more damage based on the combo level. The extra damage from the combo is not doubled, only the damage it would do at combo level 0. This may be what they are seeing.I just saw someone in game mention that Spinning Strike on his Stalker only did a half crit. Spinning Strike does its damage in 2 ticks. A full crit should equal the sum of both ticks. According to this player, the crit was only equal to one tick.
I just looked at the power in Mids', and there it is showing the full crit. Unfortunately I haven't gotten around to rolling my Street Justice Stalker yet. Can anyone else confirm this in game? If so please /bug it. -
You can also get them very cheap with alignment merits. I forget if it's one or two for a lotg, but it't very cheap, especially since you can get a hero merit in 30 mins or less if you run the signature story arc for VIPs.

It's a melee range targeted aoe. Think of it as a melee fireball. You target an enemy, and the power hits everything in a 6 ft radius from that enemy.

I'm at work so I can't open the build, but Charged Brawl has better DPA than havoc punch and is generally a better choice for a first power. Havoc punch is really a stinker IMO, and the second most skippable power in ElM after the hand clap clone.
-
Quote:If you have your endurance under control, jacob's ladder is a better choice than havoc punch. It has better DPA than havoc punch used a a single target attack, and can hit multiple targets. If you had to drop one, I'd drop havoc punch every time.
My only regret is not fitting in Jacob's Ladder. I could drop Spring Attack, but I like teleport powers. I'm not short on attacks either, I can cycle Thunder Strike, Chain Induction, and Energy Torrent without delay (usually), and can stick in a Havoc Punch if needed. -
Of the three sets you listed, I would go with WP. Street Justice is a very fast attack set but without the end discount that claws gets. it's very easy to spam attacks to drain your end quickly, so Quick Recovery really helps.

Quote:I like it, and there is some pro for it, but most of what I have seen is complaints from blasters that it kills single targets too fast for disintegration to spread, and from corruptor/defenders that it is too single target.Ah yes, that too! I forgot about it because I didn't purchase it (I knew I'd never use it due tothe stand and shoot animations that make me get bored of AR and Archery).
But has there been no love for it on the forums? I recall seeing love for it on the forms and lots of love for it in game.
But a ghostbusters super team should melt all kinds of enemies. -
Quote:That's also not counting Beam Rifle. I know it doesn't have a lot of love on the forums, but disintegration is a brand new mechanic for ranged damage in addition to swap ammo in DP.Demons/Time - There's your MM.
DP/Time - There's your Corr
Time/DP - There's your Def
Elec/Time - There's your Troller
DP/Dark - There's your Blaster.
The thought that you need all NEW sets, to enjoy an AT, is silly, especially when Melee haven't had that many more new sets (just 1) over the others. -
Stone does have the best stuns, but I would hate to deal the the endurance issues on a DA/Stone build. Even with a ToE process in rark Regen, PS in stamina, a miracle and numina, and standard end slotting, it would be hard on the blue until cardiac.
If you want some other control options, DA/DM and DA/SJ can stack fears, or you can overslot power sink and take cardiac to dran a mob of end in a single power sink on an Elec armor. -
Unfortunately not available if you don't have a tier 9 VIP unlocked in paragon rewards. I hope they are sill there when I get the unlock, I am only halfway through tier 7.
The perplex pattern and vanguard weapons work well, as does the new imperial defense items. -
I hope there are more customization models than swords, but I have the points saved to pick this up as soon as it is available.
-
If I wanted to make a Psylocke style character, I'd use claws with purple vanguard claws. You have the mental touch effect with ranged knockdown attacks. The secondary could be super reflexes (mind reading your opponent to dodge before they move), or ea/lightning/dark recolored depending on which set you want to roll.

Quote:With dual builds, you can create a solo build with 2-4 pool attacks and play dominator style. Mez them, run up and melee them to finish them off. Between the lockdown earth provides, sleet debuffs, and storms pets can you can really add damage.I cant help but agree with this, as Earth/Storm is such a fun combo to play. Its a bit rough going solo, as ST damage tends to but low even with Containment,if you can get at least one other person with you (preferably a damage dealer), you'll simply rip through mobs with no need to worry for your own safety.
-
You may want to consider DA/MA. Martial arts has cobra strike to combine with oppressive gloom to do damage and lock down bosses. Storm kick does wonders for your survival with extra def. Dragons tail for some knockdown to combine with your stuns, and if you are worried about stunned mobs staggering away, you can go Mu Mastery for electric fences to keep them put.

I really hope there is a giant spear/polearm/Guan Dao weapon customization for Titan Weapons. Those stances are freaking cool and I have a Cuchulain character that I would re-roll in a second if I could get a decent Gae Bolg instead of a sword or railroad sign.
