  1. I'm going to be a little more blunt than the two posts before me:

    Quote:
Poison Trap - Waste of time, its much better to just stack another trip mine than waste time planting another of these especially considering the recharge time.
This is bad advice. I don't know if this poster is thinking of Poison Trap from the Poison set, but PGT from Traps is a critical, must-have power.

    Seekers too, crucial for me.

And Triage is well worthwhile. You'll be glad you have it for AV fights.
  2. Read some current events and see for yourself.
  3. Lolz, is City of... Zimbabwe now? Ludicrous idea.
  4. I don't know how active you want all 3 MMs to be. Storm sounds pretty darn active, since Freezing Rain is a targeted location power.

Now, FF may be a popular suggestion due to how it can be played completely passively. However, unless you actively bubble (and you won't want to for 3 MMs and pets), then FFG from Traps is better, with higher +Def values than Dispersion. The only downside is having to periodically resummon, and that it may lag behind. When you run into the "big bad" though, Traps will benefit you far more with minimal effort.

I've actually intended to do a triple-box Traps squad, but haven't gotten around to doing it. Soft-capped Def to all at level 22 with SOs, pretty sweet.
  5. I dig the sounds. There were a couple of times I peeked out my window thinking a car horn was someone at my house.

New Posi is a thousand times greater than old Posi, both story-wise and game play-wise. It loses it's merit farm appeal (high end/high damage builds could solo for a great merit/hour rate) but I can live with that.

I haven't tried to new lvl 20 arcs yet, but I do have a both a vill and hero in that range, so I'll check it out soon.

    Spy Hunt nerf

Awwww, pretty please? I was clearly looking for sympathy.

If you want to see whiny little *girl dog* posts about nerfs, let me direct you to:

  7. I'll pretend I didn't see you suggest not taking Forge and/or Heat Exhaustion.

Clearly a MM can skip the rez. It doesn't work on your pets. Maybe skip Thaw if you're not diligent about watching your henchmen's status (that's not meant to be insulting, I think you have to be paying pretty close attention to do that).

I haven't tried to make a build for the combo yet, but with wanting to take the DS attacks, a Combo with Thermal looks to be pretty tight.

    Spy Hunt nerf

I would start a CoV session by double boxing a Stalker with a Bane. That would cut down on the travel time, though combat time increased by having fight 2-boss spawns in 3 of the missions and one boss in the penultimate one. So it ended up a wash and still a 15-20 minute activity, for 32 merits.

Well, as suggested above, I'm off to find another.

As someone said to me in another thread... "wah wah wah"

    Spy Hunt nerf

Serious question, where you do see any "wah" at all? There was info posted with no regard to opinion whatsoever, only facts.

Here is an opinion - you should show some degree of maturity on these boards, just a tad would be a marked improvement over your post above.

    Spy Hunt nerf

I saw nothing in the patch notes, but the last mission in Spy Hunt is no longer timed.

Spy Hunters will understand the consequences of this, I won't go into it myself.
  12. Deacon_NA

    Elec/therm

Not in the least bit. That combo is supposed to be very strong in PvP for a Corruptor, but as a non-PvPer, I can't say firsthand. Are you talking PvP? If not, I don't see what would make this an OPd troller.
  13. Bubble outside door + PBU bubble inside door = carte blanche for squishies to go solo some cysts on the 2nd ITF mission.

This is where Primal comes in handy too. I slotted that proc in both the ST and AOE blast.
  15. While burning freespecs, I switched the APP for my Ill/Rad from Earth to Power and wow, what a difference.

Not only is the ST chain seamless with Blind, SW and Power Blast, but Conserve Power allowed me to stick with a "no insps" restriction. Also, Energy Torrent provides decent AOE damage and effects for teams.

So, it was this weekend that I burned that respec and went on a GM hunting spree. So far so good.

Anyway, I haven't seen Power mentioned so far in this thread and I'm a new advocate of it for Ill/Rad.

  17. Do those Evony calculators include some soft-core pics?
  18. One of my Bots/ MMs named all the pets after Rush songs. I think the AssBot is Cygnus X-1.

I see a lot of Bots named after MST3k bots. I would have used those too if I haven't seen them used so much.
  19. Have a great trip back Ana. Hopefully Eyjafjallajokull won't affect your return.

Super team??? You guys are having a super team without me? Fine.......

What???? Different strokes and all that, so I'm not making this counter-argument to dissuade the author of that statement, but for those wondering about whether or not to take the power, I find it to be amazing mitigation. What's it supposed to do? KB. What does it do? KB, very reliably. Keep that nasty Warden on his butt for a whole fight. Great power.
  21. It's really, REALLY hard to not warn someone of the perils of Sonic Resonance for a soloer.

It's not solo friendly. IMO, it has one power that's great for a soloer - Sonic Dispersion. After that, something like Sonic Siphon could be useful, but may not help your DPS against regular mobs (better for hard targets). I haven't done the math to prove it, but it "feels" right. Liquefy is on too long a timer. I suppose you could save it for the Boss at the end. Sonic Cage could be decent for a soloer. The other 5 powers will be unusable for a soloer.

In the back of my head, I'm thinking of making a Sonic/DP to combine +Res with - Dmg. All the cool kids have lots of +Def these days so I'm thinking lowering damage taken when teammates do get hit is a valuable commodity.
  22. If you turn 360 degrees you'll be where you started, so I guess you get right back to playing the XBox.
  23. Personally, I think a Mind Dom is much better off shooting for perma-dom. I'd be switching Thunderstrikes for Decimations, again, personally speaking. Basilisks Gaze for Lockdown, that sort of thing.

If for no other reason, perma dom will provide more benefit on the LRSF by sleeping the FP than getting those same Heroes to hit you less.
  24. Thanks for feedback, especially to Kioshi for taking the time to edit my build. Using that, I made some further tweaks that did soft-cap me to all positions. I can't post the build now (I'm at work) but basically I substituted the Leadership pool for Fighting, slotted Aegis in Tough and took Weave and am comfortably soft-capped. Maybe I'll throw in the +6 To-Hit IO to make up for not taking Tactics.

Again, thanks for your comments and time.
  25. I'm burning some old freespecs before i17 hits and I'm currently rebuilding my Claws/Nin Stalker.

My goal is for him to be good, real good even, but I don't play him enough to get him the most exotic loot.

    This is for pure PvE.

What I came up with is soft capped for Melee and Range Def. Recharge is 53% and Endurance numbers look decent. I'm basically satisfied but if anyone has any suggestions to improve inexpensively then I'd love to get your feedback.

I did gimp Shockwave, but that was the price of pursuing some of the bonuses I went for.

The most angst I had was my level 49 pick, where I chose Shadow Meld over Kuji-In Retsu. With my Def bonuses, I don't expect to use either but I went with SM due to its faster recharge.

    So please, check it out:
