I just like throwing ideas out, I've had a lot of experience trying to get people to collaborate within a small group, so I have a fairly good idea of various tools that can be used if you need any help finding something.
OMG! GOOGLE DOCS FOR THE WIN!!! I HEART THEM SO MUCH!!! That is definitely a great idea and something I've been sharing with the other reps as an amazing (AND FREE) resource we can use! CHEERS!
  2. Silas... I do get what you are saying... I probably could've done monthly... BUT rest assured (and I have witnesses) I was always keeping VERY accurate (borderling obsurd) record keeping of what all was happening with the auctions. Mind you this was before the auctions even hit! You should see the Excel Spreadsheet I have. To my own fault, I do not think we were prepared for the amount we received. At the end of that night many spectators from other servers were baffled by the amount of money being spoken of. To this day... people still ask how we got that much money. It really is shocking and probably factored into the lack of prepardness. However, I did always have track from the beginning but I lacked the idea of how to best communicate. However, you did your part and helped show the way. Thanks for not letting us fail!

Good Luck with your new committee.
THANKS! I'd never make it very far... contrary to popular belief... I do have a heart! I care too much for humans so I'd fail in the political arena! I appreciate the compliment though! BTW... don't ever feel the need to be silenced! This thread would be nothing without both sides to the scale. I know I'm not perfect (I'm a Politician) but with everyone's help we can be strong!

AND TO EVERYONE ELSE! SIMPLY PUT... STAY MARVELOUS!

    Dazz!

WOW! Thank you all soooooo much! I'm still recooperating from the surprise in Pocket D tonight! TY SO MUCH for all your support! You all are mahvelous! CHEERS!
  4. Amily,

Though you deleted your post, I still wanted to address it. The letter is definitely my words (signed by all the Reps of Champion PERC) and only represent what us reps have been feeling for quite some time. I apologize if you feel I am speaking FOR the community. I do not believe the letter is meant to speak AS the community but rather TO the community. However... as Cobalt best said "parts or generous portions" of the community have spoke to me and the other reps both in public and private about said happenings. I found it only necessary to clear the air and no longer ignore frustrations and doubts. It may sound a tad ironic to leave one group because of x,y,z then start another for x,y,z but the new cause is not identical. It isn't so much about having a said banner but rather having a variety of resources and creating a useful coalition that ALL of Champion can utilize. It isn't going to be about making sure the group is always hosting events but rather that individuals, sg's, and community representatives are supporting the server and providing events but having a very beneficial support structure for areas that may seem lacking. No matter... the goal is... to continue making Champion the most amazing, supportive, and eventful server out there!

PS: Yes it may sound like I am bad mouthing my previous job, I hoped to do so as diligently possible. I did not want to go into details but there is still a belief I have in the support systems PERC has provided. I would not have spent two+ years organizing many events across servers if I had thought it would be a waste of time or not be a good entity.

Also... like Cherry confirmed we do still plan to do the Auctions in January (as is tradition) just not under the PERC Banner. We have had LOTS of people in the community asking when the next one would be and dying with anticipation for the next one. So do not fret... we will be hosting the third annual Player Auctions in January! Stay tuned! All is in motion!

Don't worry all avenues have been covered before we made this decision

    ~Fang
We have it exceptionally accounted for! I have updated the Auction thread to reflect the amount spent and the money left. Rest assured... no matter what... PERC will use it for Champion! We guarantee it!
  7. WOW! I have nothing but major kuddos for you all! The support you have always presented us has been nothing short of stellar!

I'm not gonna quote everybody and their past statments but you all ECHO the exact sentiments all us REPS had as we decided to leave. It was quite clear we heard all of your thoughts and knew the time was now to leave PERC and focus on our server! We are in the works to develop a server specific entity that is heavily focused in incorporating every ounce of our servers population and putting out a wide array of events that capitalize on every aspect of the game (this includes CoV zones, actual gameplay, etc.). We knew as well that many of you supported US and not PERC and that it was time to leave the cookie cutter establishment and start something that was more real, raw, and representative of the community. As we take the next steps I am proud to hear you all echo your sentiments, thoughts, comments, and feedback. I hope you will all join us in our new avenues and continue to have the voice you have now. I do not want one soul to be misrepresentated as we take the next steps. It is going to be a most marvelous journey!
  8. Dear Champion,

First and foremost, thank you for your continued support over the past years of PERC and all of its events. Without your support none of them could be the huge success they continue to be. It is because of you that we are who we are and that we have got to where we are. All we can do is say, THANK YOU!

If you were at the Black Friday Game Night last night, then you probably heard our message last night. All of the Champion PERC Representatives have made a slightly difficult decision to leave PERC. Last night, was the last event you will see from the many familiar faces that have represented PERC over the past few years. While there are many personal reasons that will not be discussed, the most important message was clear; PERC is not your voice.

Our focus over the past few years has always been to be your support and work to clean up the tarnished image PERC once had. While we had thought that we had met that goal, the outcome was not legit. PERC, simply put is not supporting you the way you deserve. PERC was full of false pretenses and was more of a misrepresentation of what many of the game’s communities and populations actually were. While it may have been a upward battle or non-completable challenge, there were too many forces working against it. Those forces varied but most importantly came from within. PERC’s motto was not being upheld and the community voices were not being given care and a proper voice. This is simply why we had to leave, our main objective was not achievable and our communities were not being given the support they deserved.

You guys (our community) noticed this too however and spoke out. You pleaded for change and voiced your opinions in abundant numbers. This was first witnessed last January, when Champion filled Pocket D to the brim and brought a tidal wave of support for PERC to utilize throughout the entire year. NEVER has this been seen on any other server or any other event. It was then that we should have listened to our public and heard the true outcry for support they were asking for.

Yet, we failed to ignore the first calling sign, but thankfully you all did not give up. Throughout the rest of the year you continued to speak and plead for support and finally that day as come. All of us that have served on PERC are realizing the true message and are evolving our commitment to Champion. We no longer need a specific banner to run under, a specific motto to follow, or a false committee to represent. We already have the true essence of what player events are, our Community. Without you guys, we are nothing. With you guys, we are everything. As long as we have your support we can achieve any event goal set we desire.

It is no longer about PERC and its false sense of committee and resourcefulness. It is about the COMMUNITY! Events ran BY the community FOR the community. Our population no longer needs PERC, it needs each other. A support system we have had all along and failed to notice and capitalize on.

    Sincerely,

Your former Champion PERC Representatives; Dazz, Cherry, Fanged, Pound Cake, & Starforce

  16. Mr. and Ms. Paragon Universe went through many changes this year. We included bios, power customization, costumes, and asked each player about their characters. We wanted to thank the community for making this a memorable event as you all do every year. This event is always hard to judge and this was no exception. All of the finalists had amazing concepts and put on a great show for us. Tonight was a special event and we want to thank everyone that participated. We would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding through technical difficulties. We are proud to say that every single server finalist was present and judged tonight!

    The Overall Winners

Mr. Paragon Universe, From the Liberty Server

    Vilhjalmur

Ms. Paragon Universe, from the Virtue Server

    Desert Owl

Both characters not only had great costumes, but awesome concepts. They put on a phenomenal performance. Congratulations to you both and thank you to everyone that participated!
