  1. The Entropy Legion has been around almost 2 years and we are a very active RP group. I have posts in these forums about the Legion, but you can also visit our website: http://entropylegion.guildportal.com
  2. *****
    Name: Entropy Legion

Currently Recruiting: Always looking for people to join the Legion that is looking for RP.

RP Level: RP-friendly; RP-intensive, 95% IC spatial with an OOC Channel for the group. Willing to take risks with characters and not just play "I'm EVIL!!" characters, but more of losers.

PvP Level: Casual to none, but not discouraged

Theme/Concept: Entropy Legion is a silver-age style group of villains bent on the usual "conquer the world" or "the greatest heist" concept. We are a lot like the Legion of Doom, in where one member will come up with a Plot (created in AE) and the rest of the Legion will then help that Plot in order to have the Legion be victorious.

Of course, being the people that villains usually are, we mess up and are a bit screwed up. We are enjoying the RP of what it would be like if severely quirky and dysfunctional people were stuck in a room together.

Activity: We have scheduled nights that run on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, but there is usually a few Legion people online at any point.

Requirements for Membership: out-of-game communication on guild forums (see below).

Leadership: Radium Blight currently leads the Entropy Legion, with Mad Manta, Miss Ultimate, Blood Widow Ricki, and Dark Lies Made Real acting as officers.

In-Game Contact(s): @davpa can be considered the main contact

Out-of-Game Contact(s): You can also get in touch with our officers and Henchmen from our website on the Roster page.

    URL: http:entropylegion.guildportal.com

Coalition(s): we have a few coalitions, but we stay pretty much self-contained. But always looking to add friends to the Rogue Isles.

Other Details: We like to think of ourselves as a fun group that has a good "family" core of players that are always looking out for each other. We play Red and Blue side together and support each other with story ideas, RP interaction, and just a good laugh or two.

Currently, our RP has been taking our members into interesting areas. The Legion is in league with an NPC group called the Union of Dire Ambition, which acts as an umbrella organization. We've had to fight not only Heroes and Praetorians, but other extra dimensional threats as well as rival villainous gangs.

As for what we do as a group, we do a variety of events. We run Strike Forces, Tips, and Missions as well as create our own in AE. Any mission we do is always in an RP context. We do not follow traditional IC vs OOC format, but rather we follow Continuity vs Non-Continuity in regards to missions. We recently had a "Secret Origins Festival" where members created AE missions that focused on their character's past in some aspect. Next story arc approaching is:

so lots going on in the Entropy Legion. Visit our GuildPortal site to see more
  3. Well, the Launcher updated itself, then I was able to update the Live client and the Beta client. No issues that i could see on my end.

It was nice to access the Market, read everything, then log off and then log back on without moving the client or deleting files. I almost felt human!

It is too bad this Beta update is not going to be part of the release of i21. But if it is working now, it should only be a few days till it is released, so the wait won't be too long.

So thanks for keeping us in the loop as much as possible Zwill, but I do have to echo the request for least a few Mac people in the closed Betas of any future release. We can not go through this kind of thing again. Ever.
  4. We, The Entropy Legion, is a very active VG in Virute, but we are active in a different way then you are. We are a RP group, so we do a variety of different events all around Roleplaying. We run the Weekly Strike Target on Tuesdays, with those events we consider as a Non-continuity RP event.

    Our website is http://entropylegion.guildportal.com

    on Virtueverse: http://www.virtueverse.net/wiki/Entropy_Legion

So while we are active, we do not run SF everyday. We tend to do more AE missions and PvE style events more. We are coming up soon to a big story arc in the Legion:

Anyway, some fonts are not working on the Paragon Market:

I was still able to complete the transaction (some guessing was involved ), so it's relatively minor.
My Market is like this as well (not the super box look that others have). I also can't run the Beta once I log out of the game after trying the Market. I have not been able to fix it since.

I am not running Lion, I am still in OS 10.6.8, but with current patches and etc for Snow Leopard.

There's a lot of moving parts with Issue 21 and Freedom, and a lot of things that need to be tested. Unfortunately, the timing on the known issues with the Paragon Market being addressed didn't line up with our need to start concurrency testing.

We are working with Transgaming to address this issue ASAP and will let you know the minute that it's corrected.

    Thank you for being patient.

Thanks for letting us know. It is good to hear that the Macs are not getting thrown under the bus with i21.

Maybe for some of you, but this is NOT an option. I don't have Windows, or do I have any intention on getting Windows. That is why I own a F*&% MAC, so that I do not have to run Windows. I wish you people would quit throwing that idea around like everyone has or wants Windows. If i wanted to run Windows, I'd have a machine for that, not a Mac.

Now I've seen some comments in this thread about Mac players not helping enough...

When I look at this Mac forum, it's a sea of complaints about (largely) the same problems that have been completely unaddressed, and frankly unacknowledged, for a very long time. What else can be done? From where I'm standing, I see a lot of Mac players making their troubles known, while Paragon remains (mostly) silent. If Paragon and Transgaming remain unmoved by our complaints, then what is left to do? Bad reviews and ratings?

Personally I think NCSoft should re-evaluate it's relationship with Transgaming, but I imagine that the Mac portion of the player base is too small to warrant any drastic measures to remedy the situation.
I have to echo Toxa here. It is all high and mighty of some of you to say "we need to act" or some other rant. I have no power here: I was not invited to any Beta test; I have no skill at program trouble shooting; If the game craps out, all I know how to do is restart the damn thing; I can't compile or any other crap that you software oriented people do.

So F you for acting like I am not doing my part.

Let me say that again: F you.

I am a paid subscriber to CoH. When I have something happen to my game, I report it as best I can. While I've had Assertion Failures from time to time, it never seems to be as chronic as some people have described. I've created a macro for dealing with the memory leaks, so that is usually not a problem for me. I went through the "Black Screen" issue a while back, but did my best to report the results. Outside of that, that is all I can do.

Obviously, NCSoft had no Mac people on the closed Beta. We need to have one CoH Mac player that lives in that area to go down and knock on their doors and ask "WTF?!?" How can such a "bug" be allowed to exist? Really, what are the Marx Brothers doing code in that building?

WE CAN'T GET INTO THE MARKET!!!! NCSOFT, ARE YOU LISTENING? A PORTION OF YOUR PAID AND FUTURE CLIENTS CAN NOT ACCESS A MAJOR ELEMENT OF YOUR GAME AND A SOURCE OF YOUR REVENUE. DO SOMETHING! DO SOMETHING FOR F*%& SAKE.

If i21 goes live, and the Mac community has no fix, I'm not only canceling my subscription, but I'll demand the money back from the advanced payment I've made. I'm sure we would have grounds on breach of contract or services not rendered. That is the only power I have, to not give them money. So far, the only thing they have earned is my desire to take back what is mine.
  9. On July 16th, the Entropy Legion will be hosting a special set of raids. We will be hosting our usual Cathedral of Pain (gathering at the base portal in Port Oakes) at Noon EST, but then after that we will jump into the Abyss and take on the Hamidon!

So, this is what is happening:
    • start recruiting people around 11:15am EST
    • Gathering at the Port Oakes base portal in front of the Hospital
    • get the CoP launched as close to Noon EST as possible
    • Take on the Aspect of Rularuu (and win of course!)
    • League goes to the Abyss
    • Fill holes of League from people who left the CoP
    • Do Monster Hunt to spawn Hami and get EoEs
    • Take on the Big Glob of Goo

We could even do 2-3 Hami raids, depending on the constitution of the players. We'll play it by ear.

So get ready to do some raids that do not involve Incarnates or Emperor Cole or "great tracks of land" cleavage shots! Just insane destroyer of realities and a giant jello mold....mmm, maybe Captain Boobies is not so bad after all.
  10. iOS Hero designer app is great and all, but this does not answer my question from above: Any developments on the button issue with Mid's in CrossOver?
  11. It has been a while, wanted to see if anyone fixed the button issue?
  12. Well, I can only suggest the few that I've been part of.

Hyperion Force is a coalition of superheroes that work in dealing with various threats and dastardly villains. This group has an Avengers feel to it in my opinion. ((Virtueverse.net entry and Guildportal.com page))

Union Supreme is another group of superheroes that has a bit of a more world spanning reach. They tend to deal with more global and intergalactic threats. A very Justice League feel. ((Virtueverse.net entry and Guildportal.com page))

For a little less RP and more event activity, I've seen Justice Corps. running around a lot. The are a top 10 guild, so they are quite active. ((Guildportal.com page))

That is all I would recommend for Blue Side. I have not run around with a lot of other groups, so I won't recommend any other because I have not had that much involvement. Hope this helps.

Now for red-side I have other suggestions.
  13. Just wanted to give a shout out for the Villain side Cathedral of Pain run. We have had successful runs so far since we have started it, so congrats to all the teams that have been a part of it. The one today did really well, we took care of Lanaru the Mad in very short order.

While we had successful teams form, it has been a bit of digging to get these teams formed. That is why I wanted to give a reminder that the Entropy Legion is indeed hosting this run on Saturdays with a start time as close to Noon EST/9am PST as possible.

We will NOT be having a CoP run on July 2nd, due to many of us traveling for the holiday weekend. But fear not, we shall resume the CoP run on July 9th and on.

So everyone have a good 4th of July weekend and stay villainous until we see you again on the 9th.

    Virtue Or VIP

Staying here on Virtue. I'm going to grab my main hero and main villain's name on the VIP server if it turns out that there are special events on there, but outside of that I'm staying put on Virtue.

EXCEPT for the costume slots you have purchased or Vet unlocked. So for Premium it is 2 character slots and any additional slots you have purchased/unlocked.

Instead of adding yet ANOTHER server, I wish you guys take Virtue and Freedom and make them VIP servers, as they are heavily populated as is. It would keep the resource needs down for them as well as minimally disrupting large established communities.

I am not trying to dismiss the communities of other servers, I'm just saying to take the 2 largest server populations that already exist, Virtue and Freedom, and not have them pushed even more to the brink with F2P people.

Or, instead of a VIP server you could have made this new server the F2P server. Kinda like a Free-to-play-Alcatraz!

Yeah, the Entropy Legion is very happy to be hosting the Cathedral of Pain for the Red Side. This run of the CoP will begin on June 11th.

Hope to see you villains there on Saturdays at Noon EST!
  18. The Entropy Legion will be hosting a weekly VCoP on Saturdays. The time for the VCoP is at Noon EST / 9am PST. Meeting spot will be the Port Oakes base portal, just as before.

We are now listed on the Virtue Raid Schedule as well.

So every Saturday, bring your villain to Port Oakes and take part in a Cathedral of Pain run.
  19. The Entropy Legion led a League to face an Aspect of Rularuu in the Shadow Shard. Once the Strike Team took down the Psionic Resonators, the Team entered the Cathedral of Pain to face Lanaru the Mad!

the Strike Team had its work cut out for it, as Lanaru the Mad is the toughest of the 2 possible Aspects of Rularuu. With his hurricane, freezing rain, lightning storms, and high regeneration, Lanaru would not go down easy.

It took a few rounds of defeating his Soldiers, taking down the Barrier Shields, and the attacking Lanaru, but finally he went down. Kittie Klaw was the member of the Team that was able to deliver the final blow.

The Strike Team got to celebrate the Ultimate Victory with the Cape Radio & DJ Pheonyx, who play epic music during and after the battle. We also hosted 2 Costume Contests, with the following results:

    Ultimate Road Warrior Contest
    1. Lock and Load Lari
    2. Esau
    3. Lydia Eversio
Honorable Mentions went to Kurbstomper and Skyway Bulldozer

    Thing from Beyond Contest
    1. OtherwXse
    2. Alexis Fyre
    3. Lord Leucetius
Honorable Mentions went to Goddess Astrathea and Cyric Black.

First prize was awarded 100 million INF, 2nd place received 50 million, and 3rd place got 25 million. Honorable Mention winners received 10 million INF.

Congrats to all the winners and congrats to the Strike Team that took on the Cathedral of Pain!
  20. Just a small reminder that the Villainous CoP run is coming up.

Also a reminder that the Cape Radio is hosting the Ultimate Victory/Defeat Celebration. I hope we arrive as conquers.

As part of the fun in the Celebration, we will be hosting 2 CCs that fit the theme of a Cathedral of Pain trial:
    • Ultimate Road Warrior - can you put Mel Gibbson's Max to shame? Are you mightier than the mighty Humungus? Then show us what kind of tough road warrior you are.
    • Other-dimensional Terror! - not of this dimension? Planning on using this reality as a quick meal? Bring it!
    For both contests,
    • Grand Prize will be 100 mil INF
    • 2nd Place is 50 mil INF
    • 3rd is 25 mil INF
    • a few 10 mil INF Honorable Mentions thrown around.
  21. Your Honor, I, Radium Blight, will have to step down from the Defense team. My client has decided to seek representation from Ninja Lawyer of Funekoshi, Tamagawa, and Goldstein (FT&G). While I respect the will of the client, I do advise the representative of FT&G to pay due diligence to the facts of the case.

As my final statement as representative of the Defense, my client was framed for the "Donut/Coffee Spiking", as it is known in the media, and the facts will prove this. The Defendant will be proven innocent of these charges. And the love of Texas Pete Hot-Sauce is not proof, as the Prosecution would like you to believe, in guilt of such a horrible act against humanity. Humanity defined as those able to gain access to said donuts and coffee.
  22. The Entropy Legion will be hosting a Cathedral of Pain run on Saturday, May 21st at 6:00 pm EST.

The Cape Radio will be hosting the after-party called the Ultimate Victory/Defeat Celebration, all depending on the outcome. Details are on the Cape's website.

Gather at the base portal at Port Oakes.

If you are interested, or have questions, you can either post here, send me a PM, or contact me in-game at @davpa

For those more visually inclined, here is some pictures!

    i20 black screen

I am not doing the Test Client trick. Instead, I am just waiting out the 3 hour Black screen. If my client crashes, I either wait another 3 hours or get up and do something else.

While not the most ideal, it will sufice until an update happens. I personally don't like having to "rollback" in order to play. Sounds stupid, but I'm just a "always move forward" kinda guy I guess.

I do hope they have a fix soon.

Wait...what? Ok, it is not as obvious as I was hoping. How do I disable Smart Crash Reports? Sorry, I don't use Console so I am not sure how to do what you are asking.

    Sure, I can do that.

Just so you know, I relaunched after my crash. After about 1 1/2-ish I still had a Black Screen. I went to bed, when I woke up CoH was sitting in its Log-in screen.

But I will remove the Smart Crash Reports and launch again.
