  1. Have not seen a request like this since they made Dwarf form an auto break free.
  2. I have been playing these PC games since the 80's and there is quite a bit of evolution involved in what is considered an MMORPG in 2012 that is not being considered in the discussion.

That is unfortunate in the sense that in a objective review of the history of how we got to MMORPG's 2012 one would see the validity in both the teaming and soloing arguments being bantered about. Its really not as absolute as either side is arguing. Shrug.

I think this points to the reason to some degree this kind of thing has moved beyond the QOL area into the same area that prompted them to include some visual badge progression options.

The fact that we have so many toons and the need for a spreadsheet to track them says it all IMHO.

You guys got an odd sense of entitlement there. How dare you offer us a discount! We want MORE discount!
Let's not get things twisted. I really consider all for profit companies in today's world greedy, it is nothing specific to Paragon and nothing that makes me feel entitled to a GD thing. I have always said companies can charge wth they please and do wth they want. That will not change my viewpoint of how I see it since I don't like the majority of their price points anyway, no entitlement stated or implied.

    Thanks for any help.
KM/EA is what I would term as a WONDERFUL combo. Lots of synergy and a TON of fun to play.
  8. IDK, this is just the kind of thing that needs to have a player visual timer in game. I remember there was a time when we had no visual indicators on badge progression. QOL.

I play my KM/EA vs +4 settings. I solo and play on teams.

On teams I am not a tank and don't try to jump in taking team alpha's in +4 content.

In terms of mitigation against hard hitting enemies, I do that before jumping into a bunch of them, YMMV.

EA just doesn't allow for this when there is a healthy mix of psi dealing mobs. Not as well as the other sets I mentioned anyway.
I here people say the same thing about Inv and I just have never had this problem. Then again I never had a problem with voids and no mezz protection on old PB's, so I am still inclined to think this is more a playstyle deal than something truly crippling. Heck it might be a YMMV deal. No worries I'll continue to rock my KM/EA as I have before.
  14. Whatever I am playing at the time.

-Easiest to Incarnate soft-cap because of high defense values

In EA's defense, it's probably the best set to play while leveling. Good defense, a +Recharge aura, good heal/end management and stealth. Hit the later levels, however, and you'll start getting decked by Carnies, Arachnos, Rularuu, Rikti, Praetorian Seers anything with psi. DE bosses will wear you down with their toxic ranged attacks.

You can solve that by popping a few lucks but then that defeats the purpose of soft-capping all the other damage types, which is a hassle in itself. Try to patch the psi-hole and you're gimped on recharge and other areas, I would imagine.

Great set to level but it's not as well-rounded as the other sets mentioned when it comes to end-game.

My KM/EA scrapper just does not have the issue you described with late game enemy groups. However, as I learned when I was running an I9 version of the PB through late game content mopping the floor with Carnie Illusionist, nothing is equal in terms of gameplay style and therefore experiences.

    Thanks for the breakdown.

My posts were about GG taking a small end portion of a fully evolved statement by the devs and trying to shoehorn it into a certain spin ignoring the context of the full comment to support her position of horridly slow solo progression specifically for DA.

To me this was never about the acronym argument that others are having, it was about GG coming here playing the internet game of dev parrot while not fully quoting the entirety of the statement period.

I said that to force the hand to present the entire quote in its context. Having done that for the comment listed in full, it is clear that it was taken almost completely out of context to support the current absurd assertion being made about the devs feelings and desires for solo/small team play in the game.

The only problem is some of the solo rewards are not at a pace that the majority of the players that do that content solo feel is fair. Anything beyond that is not the real issue.

The addition of the WST will make finding a group for the focused content easier; we believe that people will run the WST multiple times, either to earn the badge or to earn the increased rewards on multiple characters, or even just because it will be easier to find a group for it. Also, to get yourself a single rare ability and earn the level shift will only require running the WST once, and to get a very rare ability it will only take two additional runs. If thatÂ’s not your cup of tea, the Incarnate Trials in Issue 20 are going to be an alternative means of obtaining the same abilities.

We are investigating a variety of strategies for the solo player to engage the system as well in the future. No one is more excited than I about the excitement concerning the Alpha Slot and the Incarnate system, and we want to offer more ways for people to participate and enjoy the content they love. On the other claw, sometimes in developing a massively multiplayer game we are going to have content which encourages and rewards multiplayer play.

Your bud in the Incarnate-powered armor,

    Black Scorpion
Looking at Black Scorpion's full comment shows how GG took the last bit and tried to TOTALLY ignore what the man said just before that about the solo player. You see this is nothing more than more GG spin.

    made by Ghost Falcon.

I think we all recognize they want players to play together, but there is an assertion that they want that and they don't want solo players to solo, which most of us know is garbage. If that were true on ANY level then they would not have bothered revamping DA recently or made any of the solo friendly changes over the past five years I have played the game.

The question is the pace of reward and balancing that to make more sense than it currently does. It takes some intellectual honesty to relate to that and GG is too busy playing the fake internet games to deal honestly. Not just today about this issue, I mean ever.

These things are always more credible when quoted in full and links are provided lest it look like you are just pulling this out of your bum.

Heaven forbid something being taken out of the full context in which it was stated.
