  2. If you have a Plant/Earth Dom you are NOT going to be pleased with the meh performance of BM with anything trust me.
  3. BM being a for pay set is the least of it's pitfalls.
  4. I for one had ZERO market aspirations concerning EC. I just want to slot all of these set IO's I have ready to be converted stockpiled.

    I think this is a perfect example of how the exact same thing can have many different uses in the game depending on the individuals focus and desires. Cheers.

    Hi Bill glad to see you still here fighting the good fight. IDK what the devs are thinking when it comes this kind of thing. It almost seems like there is nobody on the dev team that is NOT an end game guild raider or they are listening to the wrong person that does not even do solo arcs but knows inside information all the time.

  9. I tend to enjoy AV killing on my debuff type toons like my Ill and Plant/Rad trollers. I also enjoy the up close and personal feeling using my DM/SR scrapper.

    Hmm... mate IDK what I would do had I done this like you did. I just run stuff that gives AM's, EM's and HM's and not RM's so I have a stockpile of those. I had ZERO marketing plans just a ton of set IO's that need to be converted so I can place them on my toons.

    I totally understand where you are coming from though, epic disappointment.

    I don't have an agenda, I just have high standard as a consumer and player of PC games since the 80's. The name Supergamble Packs is used as an ode to a player no longer here in the forums.

  18. The assumptions people were making were EXTREMELY well founded when they are based directly on the devs communication to us. Look at this post from Positron on this issue. http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...35#post4022035

    He is not indicating in ANYWAY that there would be some piecemeal releasing of the methods used to obtain these things. He is also going out of his way to say it will be balanced and NOT unfair to certain groups which was the entire purpose of his thread since they put their foot in it the first time around.

    The way he presents it is like an entire feature to have them available for purchase via various methods. They should NOT have released them for purchase only for RM's which like it or not favors the people that bought Supergamble packs and/or have a strategy of hoarding RM's leaving people that hoard AM's, EM's and HM's "for the same purpose" in the cold.

    And before someone points out the subject to change part please don't. The reality is if they had planned on releasing them piecemeal as a strategy that changed that would in fact be defeating the ENTIRE flow of what he was addressing in the post in the first place which was equality of ways to purchase them.

    I think this is really what has miffed me about this entire deal. They said they didn't go into I22 because of it (bug)and now the next patch to then just enable it for RM's which is the best scenario only for the people buying Supergamble Packs with tons of RM's hanging around sucks.

  21. Freitag this is great news and all, but can we get someone from the dev staff to come clean on the Converters and why they are not available for purchase via AM's, EM's and HM's and are only available for purchase with RM's.

    As you are aware, some of us planned on purchasing these converters via AM's, EM's and HM's and not via RM's, and planned our last months activities around game activities that rewarded ONLY AM's, EM's and HM's and NOT game activities that reward RM's.

    NOBODY said they did so why even make that stupid arsey snarky statement?

    ATO's and how they introduced them in Ouro and other ways was the standard and they did in fact set a standard for these things for AM's, EM's, HM's, RM's and other ways ALL at the same time. Rolling them out for only one merit way is not the standard is the point as well as hearing from the devs as to what the actual reason is, like they did for this issue at I22.

    Dev communication on the issue is ALL that is requested, not forumites possible speculative justifications.

    You may be making an assumption that I had some marketing loss and no that has nothing to do with it. I just don't do a tremendous amount of RM material vs the AM, EM and HM activity that I do so getting things in the game via those up to now equal ways was just that equal.

    ATO's came out for AM's and other methods on BETA that was sent to live and the expectation of that kind of uniformity is the standard. YMMV.

    Er um... no...That should be part of the known issues that they know before releasing the patch. I mean they have told us for weeks since I22 the converters were in fact coming in this patch and had plenty of time to say but only for RM's.....
