Quote:Well stated..VERY well stated. Could not agree more. In bold are the particularly good gems.I enjoy the Scrapper gimmick of not having a gimmick to begin with. When I want a no-nonsense fighter who plain old walks up to people and hits them. I pick a Scrapper.
The Scrapper motto is "Scrappers flip out and kill stuff," and that's a pretty apt description of how they work. One moment I'm sitting idle, chatting with a friend of mine, the next I walk up to the next spawn and BAM! I'm fighting at top capacity and using my AT to its fullest potential. I don't need to worry about being broken out of Hide, I don't need to worry about my performance from a cold start and so on, as I mentioned. One moment I'm idle, the next moment I flip out and kill stuff. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
I firmly believe that Scrappers have no set role on a team, beyond the most basic one of "use powers to help make enemies dead." -
Quote:Oh I am sorry...that is my inside joke with Ghost Falcon. The Kraken was released during the original Beta.
It spawns fairly regularly in Perez Park. It used to spawn less often, but they fixed those problems.
EDIT: We even have a badge for defeating it. -
Is it justified? Yes, it is justified for a for profit company to charge for the products they produce.
I feel good about them providing more powersets for free to VIP players. In reference to the for pay powersets the only one I am going to pay for is Staff Fighting, with two months worth of VIP points.
I enjoyed STJ a bit on BETA, but not enough to buy it. If I get an STJ itch I can scratch it on BETA.
It's all good.
Now if they would just RELEASE THE KRAKEN all would be better. -

Raise the aggro cap to 20 and give them a special threat level seen by the enemy AI as the threat above all others.

Quote:Yep yep this.I think this proves the devs did a great job with the stalker buffs.
Stalkers do more Single Target DPS/Burst, while Scrappers have better survivablity, and better AOE.
Kudos Synapse, and associated team. The stalker buffs saved my subscription, and I thank you for them. -

I like the way you are keeping this issue alive and not letting them sweep it under the rug.

Nothing has happened to scrappers and any line about that is useless drivel.
JB this is for you regarding your Tanker and fury being stolen by Brutes:

Would love is a very different than needs. Needs should drive power updates like they did for the other AT's that got them. Scrappers have not needed much since launch 8 years ago.
Not like everyone does not already know this fact. -
I love the use of the word toon. I think I love it even more when people are so anal that they actually get upset about it's use...that is good times.
-
There is no need to be concerned about scrappers because another AT was buffed.
Scrappers can do everything they could do before the other AT was buffed and nothing has changed that.
Since scrappers were absolutely not having any trouble before, they are absolutely not having more trouble now because another AT was buffed.
On the otherhand people are more than happy to pay for a powerset that is weaksauce because it is shinny and new. People...Pfft. -
Hi. These helped me a lot, very straightforward. Welcome back

A bit more FREEDOM with a little more customization and there would be accolades. Swing miss.

Quote:I think you spelled things out in a way that I think about it, but maybe I did a less than stellar job in conveying it.I can't comment on the whys, but I think it's very likely that it wasn't intentional. Just a boneheaded hasty "fix".
I can forgive the initial bug -- let that be a lesson about special-casing stuff to work on beta and making it impossible to tell if it'll actually work when pushed live or not.
But seriously, knowing that was the cause, come on, fix it right instead of just doing a quick band-aid. -
I think anyone purchasing Beast that has not play tested it on BETA should have a link to Reppu's review of the set. Caveat Emptor.
