Quote:Or could be a new MM primary, Penelope Yin summoning. Draw out various incarnations of Penelope Yin from the astral plane to do your bidding each with unique and powerful psionic abilities.
He's saying he thought you were a wh***, Lothic....
They said it was not a MM.
I would think you would be embarrassed to say that other stuff to a Lady. You like to cause trouble. -
Quote:Ok, please don't be offended. It just seems like several young women in this forum have information about things before the rest of us here. Of course after seeing the mainly male staff and a few of the ladies listed as devs friends on their pages I incorrectly put two and two together.I know nothing about this for certain but based on what I've seen Penelope Yin do they might come up with a modified version of the Dominator "Psionic Assualt" set with more melee powers to make it more Scrapper/Brute/Stalker oriented.
I am sorry. -
EA ROCKS THE HOUSE!. Post your build and let the mates help you because something does not sound right.

I think is one of the reasons I only do the story thing casually. I use to get upset at plot holes and killing off of this or that character back in the day.
At this point, I just roll with it, but I can TOTALLY feel where you are coming from.
Edit: I did thoroughly enjoy Statesmen getting whacked though. -
Quote:So is it going to be for melee or ranged AT's?I'm flattered that you'd think I might have some "insider info" on Psychic Melee but I honestly don't. I'm just drawing a reasonable conclusion from the facts at hand.
We see that the latest version of Penelope Yin is in fact using some kind of "unique psychic powerset" that does involve some melee elements (even down to "psychic claw" effects). We also know that the Devs have in the past "foreshadowed" certain upcoming features in the latest additions to the game (like the Tsoo in DA using staves).
When you piece it together it points to the possibility that they are using the new Penelope Yin as a sort of "in-game beta test" of a new Psychic Melee powerset. -

Quote:Well, mate one thing they have done a good job of IMHO is the powerset proliferation. I mean I am sure there are some outliers but overall they have done well IMHO.Kinetics would be a pretty poor set on MMs; pets are unaffected by +Recharge, and Kinetics doesn't have many tools for keeping them alive. I'd much rather they proliferated /Cold or /Rad. If they do give MMs /Kin I hope they modify it fairly heavily so it can actually be useful on the AT.

Like any other proliferation kin would be balanced for the AT. I think Lothic may have some inside info regarding the Psychic deal. I mean I hope we don't have yet another emoting fisher girl.

Quote:No it would not be odd mate. The DA arcs have staff fighting, TW and Street Justice for instance. There have always been enemies like that. They did not make a distinction that excluded the for pay sets at all in the ustream where they said they were adding them.Things new to the game are always 2-3 issues out for AE. Always have been. I would also be surprised if they added powersets you need to buy with points. It would be kind of odd to be able to use powersets in AE if your own character can't use them. Just saying.

Quote:The Cool kids club is highly overrated as evidenced here in the forums. And yes you are more than welcomed to complain should you see fit.I don't know, maybe it's cause I'm not a part of the really cool kids club or something but the closed betas I've been a part of haven't been that much better in terms of communication between us (testers) and the devs, etc...
I think there was only like 1 (maybe 2) closed betas where there was actual communication from the devs on what to test, etc...
*shrugs*
Oh and since it's 11:28am EST now...I can't login to the beta server....can I complain now?
Y U NO ENTRY?!? -
Psychic and Water are very popular and heavily requested over the years and they said that was part of it so yes.
I would say the are going to do BOTH Psychic Melee and maybe Water control. We shall see. -
I can understand those things Sam. I am a very casual story guy so I probably glance over those things 90% of time focusing in on the battles, most of which were entertaining for me.

I am going out on a limb and saying this set will be announced as coming soon™ as well as the kinetics set being proliferated to MM's.
I don't have an exact time frame on the MM's maybe next year, but I do predict Psychic melee for this year.
This is based principally on the Coffee talk 3-21 and my wild speculation. LOL.
Any thoughts and or predictions of your own? -
I enjoyed the SSA7 and was a bit surprised at some of the negative reaction. This is probably another YMMV and I for one had a good time.

Quote:Every time I see, which is daily now I cannot help but see this kind of deal as fail. They need to add an optional sounds setting for all of these pets instead of us having to use old style file hunting to deal with ourselves.I have a nearly incarnate softcapped to range Dark/Psi/Psi dom.
Spent billions on it.
I can't play it anymore because the constant howling from the pet has driven me bonkers.
The devs ruined the set.
This use to be a QOL deal, but with all these noise making pets (I thought the demons were bad) like the wolves it has become a much need feature deal in no time flat.
Just another case showing how not having the in game option has ruined the set for another player. I mean there is a reason I will not roll a demon MM even if I like it, I hate the sounds with passion since they are way to loud and frequent. -
Quote:Different gimmicks bother different people. The gimmick I hate the most is not the turning off of the powers despite how incredibly unoriginal that is, its rooting patches. Because of my setup those things seem to cause an incredible amount of lag for me and I never have the issue with any of the other gimmicks in the trials so I hate it.Randomly turning off incarnate powers doesn't bother me. I mean, people can run these things anyway without them, so whats different? Once upon a time we ran BAF/Lam without levelshifts... and I know people who have run more difficult trials with no shifts or just 1.
I am more than sure from talking to in game friends and seeing posts here that people have different things that bother them more than others. Trial gimmicks are not special in this area. -
They have decided to go with new powersets over new animations and one AT(MM) customization.
They are going to announce new powersets coming down the road Pummit geekfest deal.
