Might be a bit early for full on disappointment. I think it is the "perfect" time to express yourself and let them know how you see them implementing these possibly new features. Certainly would not hurt.

Tankers might actually have a chance to get something looked at if there was a proper case made in the proper place. Cross posting crusades by people the devs have long ago put on ignore is not the most effective way of getting that done.

Quote:Oh forgot to mention there has been a low brow crusade waged by some to get changes to scrappers even though it has been acknowledged that are fine and are not in "need" of a buff, just because stalkers were in receipt of much needed buffs.I haven't played in about 3 months, what have I missed so far?
Not to mention the cross posting crusade to get tanker issues addressed and brutes nerfed. -

Quote:So they provide a way to pool customize and they give people origin based powers that have been requested as well. Hmm...two birds with one stone approach...Hmm that "could" be it only time will tell. The following is based on facts that I made up in my own mind.
I wonder if the Sorcery Power Pool will be a work-around for customizing the high-demand-for-customization powers from all the power pools. In other words, it was build with alternate animations for each of the powers in it.
So - a Hasten clone (cast as a spell or, "no effects" option) and an Aid other/Aid Self clone (cast as a spell or a "healing stone" option) and etc.
Knowing nothing about how computer programming really works, other than the electron-based life forms known as 'puter gnomes, this could be a way around a rehaul of every power pool by introducing one that has the powers people want to customize in it. -
The only single shard game I have played is the wonderfully ruthless space game set 25 thousand years into the future. I cannot see that game working any other way and it is FANTASTIC.
I don't see that concept working for this game. I am on Freedom and when there are a lot of people logged in the server starts to cry a bit. I don't think the resources they have in place are attuned to handling much more load than they already get. -
Quote:You keep that policy IRL and you are head and shoulders ahead of a good majority of the people out there. Use the information garnered to your advantage and you are well on your way to writing your life ticket for success. Cheers. Thanks for the answers all. I had assumed the answers to the questions on the market would be what I got. But since my dad hated to guess and assume things, I am the same way. That is why I needed to ask to be certain. I would be the same if I were working at the same job as some of you. Those first few weeks I would be a ton of questions.
So again thank you for you help in both areas. Have fun all. -
Not only is the event a good thing, but the recruitment art posters are really really AWESOME!

Quote:But that is why I thought he was surely going to get whacked too. I saw those helms and thought they were both going to get it.Unlike the Statesman and Sister Psyche, Lord Recluse is an important character.
Admittedly, I am not the best guesser when it comes to this stuff. -

I thought he was going to get whacked by the 18th, but I guess not.

Quote:I am pretty sure..no I am totally sure there were those that were screaming at the top of their lungs not to do the current level shifts we have right now.It might turn out that the only way the Devs can keep us from getting hyper-overpowerful is to make the last few Incarnate powers be somewhat fluff-oriented like special auras or power customizations. Anything like adding many more combat-oriented powers or level shifts will just make it that much harder for them to balance the game at this point.
I think the devs have locked themselves into a path and are going to let it run its course. -

Scrappers are fine.
Using this and other non related threads to crusade for Brute and Tanker changes is low brow. -
Quote:I would love it if they gave us some type of expression based editor like FRED from Freespace 2. To this day I have not seen a more robust and easy to use game editor than that one.http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=287470 (VIPs only, I'm afraid) And I use 'imminent' in the release schedule sense, its like 'soon' but with more letters
Also, I forgot one!
6. Cancel Objectives
A new option for objectives, 'Objective Cancelled When ...' which takes a standard objective trigger. When the condition is met, the objective is removed. If set to required, it would be unflagged, as would all objectives chaining from it, and no objective completion clues would be issued. Objectives chaining from the cancelled objective would not fire.
This would allow different methods of completing a mission, such as arming a bomb, or rescuing a civilian, each of which cancel the other, so if one objective is completed, the other dissapears. Chained objectives would then allow, for instance, an ally to betray if one path is chosen over the other.
Objective Cancelled would also be a trigger condition for other objectives, if possible. -
