It is both sad and funny to watch people literally eat themselves to death.

Something new would be nice, but how about fixing the AI bugs introduced with the four legged rig first? That's for MM's and trollers.
-
Yeah, I think you are better off dealing with this on a case by a case basis as it arises. Making a thread to complain about how min/max'ers are being treated is not going to garner the response that you seek.

This shows that we now have your attention on this matter and you guys are making a serious effort to fix the mess PPM has introduced. This is good and will hopefully lead to a satisfactory adjustment.

Quote:This misses the bigger point the devs "finally" decided to recognize in Synapse's post.Meh, I don't really mind it at all. First of all, VIPs get monthly points with which I can buy the procs if I'm so inclined. Second of all, it's a trade off. If you slot a full set of SBEs the proc is better but the other enhancements can't be boosted so you lose out on some enhancement value.
Seeing as this game is almost exclusively cooperative and not competitive, it's also perfectly viable to not use any SBEs at all. It would be very very difficult for someone to convince me that they need SBEs to succeed. -

It was fail the "instant" whomever decided they would be on a different formula than the crafted one's already in the game. FAIL FAIL FAIL! And it is still FAIL!

Quote:Which only points out why some of us are confused why they change the SBE to a PPM system that is not the exact same for the crafted twin in the game. That kind of inconsistency makes no sense from the planning stage as the change to P shifter post release and cash receipt shows.I don't think people realize how good PPMs are. They'd have to nerf the hecatomb proc from 4.5 PPM down to 2 PPM for it to be worth switching it from precise strike to sky splitter in the staff chain of PS-SR-PS-SS, at which point it would still be better than the regular hecatomb proc slotted in precise strike. They could nerf the hecatomb proc down to one PPM and it would still be far better than a normal hecatomb proc in knockout blow.
They needed to be the exact same no bones about it. -
The word microtransaction and people's visual of that often does not match up with today's game store prices. That is mainly because the "micro" in many transactions left the model long ago and people just have not caught on totally yet...It's a evolution pain so to speak.

Quote:Update:
Illusion/Time is, apparently, not as good, but that's the fault of illusion's horrible endurance usage. I surmise this will be better with the pets later on, with Superior Invisibility(worst endurance cost ever) off.
Er um... gonna go ahead and disagree with this in general point to your build as myself and others are not having any issues as described with the AV killer that is Ill/Time.
Having said that I am happy you found a set combo your are pleased with. -
They removed exploits and set governors on reward rates which are two separate things. It is easier to PL through regular content than AE and has been since they allowed self adjusting spawns. The devs released he Kraken on personal control over leveling speed a long time ago. Now they are providing aids for the outliers that must be there even faster etc... I see no harm or course change in this action.

Actually no. I am in the camp that still does not understand why PS decided to sale a Proc that acts "in any way" differently from the ones we can craft in game...thus opening up the pandora's box we find ourselves in now and after they got people's money for P shifter.

I hope this is not another baiting attempt so I will try to take it as such......
The sorcery pool has a power that brought up the discussion of mez protection and blasters. I made a statement and then entered into a normal discussion with several here in the thread and expressed my feelings about that subject.
Not asking you in particular anything so you are more than welcomed to ignore us involved in said discussion and all is well. -
What's the over/under on the Heca Proc getting nerfed after they get your money like the P Shifter proc?
-
Quote:I think that selling something that performs better than anything crafted in the game is something that is not good. I don't want to give the wrong impression of what I mean in the classic pay to win debate deal. It may not be but it bloody stinks to high heaven for them to sell them and they operate differently than the same named crafted counterpart in the game.Again, having played a few true pay2win games here and there, I could post a Condescending Wonka but I'll be nice.
pay2buynao, sure. I've done that with the Kinetic Combat sale. pay4moredps, maybe, but reaching for that level of performance in the game isn't even neccessary. pay2win? There's nothing to win here, outside of what we want to get out of the game. Calling SBE procs pay2in is just disingenuous.
And when they nerf it like they did with the other one, there is a name for that too. -

And those people DO want them to be tankmages as they have stated in the various blaster threads for over a month.
-
Quote:A quick check of the various Blaster campaigning threads reveals that there are people in the improved blasters camp that DO want defense and resistance AND mez protection. Those people DO want blasters to be turned into tankmages YMMV.No you don't. You are as far away from "get it" as it is possible to be and still be in this plane of existence . Tank implies defense and resistance. No one is asking for that.
We just want to be blasters and be able to keep blasting. Being a damage dealer and being unable to deal damage in mid/late game content is pretty counter intuitive (for some at least.) Playing the game is fun. Sitting at the keyboard perma mezzed and having a total of 3 powers you can use while the other non-blaster members of the team continue along as if mez didn't exist is not fun. -
Quote:Not sure what kind of nerf to expect as were the people that spent money on PS proc and saw it nerfed in front of their faces. The devs dropped the ball on the SBE proc deal and there is no way around that fact.Thing is, what kind of nerf would you expect? So far it seems that all they'll even consider is lowering the PPM value for a proc. In many cases they'd have to knock it down a great degree for it to not remain radically superior to normal procs. It's technically possible for them to bump all SBE procs down to, say, 1 PPM, but that just wouldn't make a lot of sense. What I would sooner expect to see is either a marginal reduction, say the 4.5s down to 3.5s, or the craziest scenario: ditch the PPM system and just treat them as regular procs. I think they should do that but I don't think they will do that.

Quote:Dude we have people here that would not take the healing aura on an EMP and "justify" it so you have to just ignore people that think it makes any sense to skip EOTS.IMO not taking the only combo finisher you get (pre lvl 32) is foolish. If you skip it and do low lvl TFs/SFs you'll really be hurting your build. Might as well skip Staff Mastery.
Eye of the Storm adds a lot bonuses when used with Staff Mastery. For those that havn't figured out the bonuses... check this out.
