Quote:This is really overboard, not accurate to "any" position expressed here and way out of bounds to be called a civil response to anything posted thus far.People are welcome to disagree with me, but when you have an outrageous opinion that this single proc is going to somehow "fundamentally change" an entire archetype, you sort of deserve to be insulted.
Assuming that all the PB Knockback is awesome, knocking things around still wouldn't be the fundamental purpose of the AT. It's just a silly, head-in-*** viewpoint. -
Quote:There is KB in the powers that the PB's KB powers mimic that are still in the game still doing KB, not really sure what you mean about that sour grape deal. Since that appears to be a personal deal with you and him I will leave it there.I'm not sure that wanting KB out of a couple of powers represents a fundamental change. I have a longer perspective having been here since launch, but I remember that before Kheldians even existed, the devs removed KB from melee powers. They did so for a very good reason as melee players hated it. It was nothing more than sour grapes that caused Geko to add them to PB melee powers.
I absolutely do not think they should remove KB from the ranged PB powers or the Nova powers. But the melee attacks are darn annoying and I'm glad to finally have a choice to remove KB from them. Especially Solar Flare. -
Quote:The same thing could be said about thunderstrike one could say.Why do you think that -KB in PBAOE powers.... Just think about that for a second. Melee powers. that do AOE Knockback. How can anyone NOT see the fault in that? Anyways.. Even if you miraculously find a reason to not think that it's retarded, how is removing that "fundamentally" changing the AT as a whole...? How is removing KB from AOE powers going to make the Peacebringer into something completely different...? Unless by "fundamental change" you're trying to say "Crappy design to logical design." I guess logical is much different than crappy, yeah.
I think the point that I have made in a consistent manner is changing KB to KD is a fundamental change to me since the set and several powers included have that as a central mitigation point like the other AT's powers they mimic. I think the devs responses to this issue over time support that position.
In the end they found a stop gap to deal with the complaints while remaining true to what the PB is as they have throughout the series of changes made to the AT over time as promised. That to me is the only important part of this entire deal. -
Quote:One the devs seem to share as well.Going to disagree with this. Why should someone at Paragon have to interrupt their time off?
The hours of this weekly event are clearly posted. If the player can't make time to log in within the 24-hour window, the reward must not mean that much to them.
Just my opinion... -
That's one perspective. Not one I share but I understand. I am not against it, but I will always remain against those that have tried since I came in I8 to fundamentally change the PB to something other than what it is.
-
It's a control freak issue. "Other" people should not have "this" type of control over how "other" people are allowed to play the game. This is overreaching.
-
Actually, in reality this is the reverse. People that are against KB in powersets should be happy to get a KD converter at all since they did not have to do that in a set that is intended to do KB.
-
Quote:So instead of a one issue delay with powersets we are now into a 3 issue delay with no certainty on that either.....Brilliant devs...just bloody brilliant.Just interacted with the Freedom Friday's chat on FB. Got something for everyone here...
Me:When can we expect updates to AE??
COH:We're currently planning on adding some new maps and content to MA in Issue 24. Right now we're focused on getting Issue 23 on the live servers, so be sure to stay tuned for the Issue 24 beta in the coming months.
(Fingers crossed!!!) -

Quote:They are essentially worthless on the indoor tight ambush fire farms most Brutes cruise through.I wonder how good a mastermind would be for ambush farms or what it would take?
Edit:
Maybe a mastermind would be better with a non-ambush farm. I would like opinions and ideas to be discussed.
Let's see fi we can dethrone the /fire brute.
Outdoor farms like the city map for Battle Maiden can be done, but at no where near the speed of a Brute or Fire/kin.
Trying to use a MM "ANY" MM to "dethrone" a/fire Brute is like using a dull butter knife vs a sharp steak knife to cut through a tough steak and expecting the butter knife to win. -

I don't get why some people are acting like Paragon pancaked them or something by giving away free items.
There really is "nothing" to complain about with these free give away items. Complaints about how it should be something tangible etc... are extremely shortsighted and stomp all over the boarders of the entitlement territory. Shameful..... -
No troller set tops Ill/rad IMHO. Having said that Dark/rad is an excellent combo you will enjoy.

The devs have themselves a BIG MISSED opportunity with the KD IO's. They should have been regular IO's anyone can buy at anytime and not tied to some lame summer event crappola.
-
TBH, I think this is another miss for the devs and I don't know why they continue to miss so badly when they have enough information "not" to miss.
The devs know and have known for a fact that many people want a way to turn KB sets/powers into KD, we have dealt with this issue for years in the Kheld and Blaster forums and the devs have from time to time participated in those discussions.
This should have been a regular IO that anyone can buy to change KB to KD.
Oh well. -
I'd have to agree those two do look promising. The writing over time will be the key as the casts look good.

Quote:I don't like how these types of powers blow your toggles. That's not true. The Stealth power is *stealth* not *invisibility*.
You can toggle on 40 feet of Stealth (by means of a toggle in the Pop Up Tray) with the Panther Stealth Power. Minions have 45 feet of perception, and other foes, larger distances. So, if you get within 5 feet of any foe, you will indeed be seen. That is *not* invisibility. Invisibility powers begin a 55+ feet of stealth.
That said, Panther Stealth is indeed better than IO Stealth or SuperSpeed Stealth individually. -
I am just like I am playing Brutes. Dug you are a trip mate.
