Quote:Yeah, I figured you had actual contact with them since you were so familiar with their MO.Worked in Brit TV and news for a long time doing something quite geeky, but with lots of contacts and clocking up lots of favours elsewhere: had a very brief crack at Hollyweird 2010-2011, and ran into a leechxecutive. Now back home and - per my LinkedIn - "looking for new challenges"
The real problem with leechxecutives, btw, is when they start to believe their own hype - when they think actually have talent and know how to do stuff like, say, produce. People like them can gobble up vast tranches of investor cash, drive talent insane and sink entire franchises and studios. Which is why it's vitally important to research who you're dealing with first. Or just shoot any producer who you don't recognise on sight.
Having worked in corporate and entertainment I can tell you corporate execs are very very much the same soul less bastards. -
There are way too many leaps in logic in that post....WAY too many.
The bottom line is nobody else should have the power over how "other" people can use their powers period. -
Quote:A worthy derailing IMHO. Some Americans are well read and not as dumb as the typical stereotype might indicate.Actually Americans call a Curriculum Vitae a Curriculum Vitae and a Resume a Resume. They are 2 different things.
A Curriculum Vitae is usually used in court to prove an expertise in a field of study. It usually contains list all your training on the subject you have taken College or otherwise. Times you have testified in court regarding that subject matter. The names of those trials. Any publishing you might have regarding that subject matter. Any public speaking you have done again related to that subject matter. The C.V. can also contain other fields of study you might have been deemed an expert in.
Where as a Resume is a bit more personal and geared to getting employment.
Yep I derailed this thread. -

They need to just unleash the Kraken and sell them all on the market now.

Yeah, heard about it just a bit ago. Him and Donna in the same week what a fuggin drag.

Quote:They have to pay off the debt/favor to the new people taking over now letting them get some paychecks in before all the wheels fall off. Pretty much SOP for Hollywood.makes no sense to me.
the show's floundering, so just cancel it.
I don't see how firing the creator so you can turn it into some other, different, hopefully more popular show is a better idea than just canceling it and running an actual other (hopefully more popular) show.
It's not like every square inch of Hollywood is carpeted with desperate creatives pimping ideas for teevee shows, or anything.... -

Quote:There you go again making things up. I never protested about what you are describing. You need to go to "any" post I have ever made to back up your claims about my position or just STFU already.....Seriously stop making stuff up man it is STUPID!!!!And you see a problem with changing the KB in Solar Flare and Photon Seekers to KD. Even though many other Peacebringer powers would still provide reliable KB mitigation if you so desire. You are so stubborn in your "Derka der they took'er Knockback!" predisposition that you can't see the logical flaw in protesting the KB being removed from two powers that, logically speaking, shouldn't have it in the first place.
You also need to get off the logic deal since you left that train many moons ago. -
Quote:You need to stop making up things to be mad about mate, me being happy they did not cave to some that wanted to fundamentally change the PB is just as valid in this thread as any other post. Don't be silly.Could you just maybe stay away from a thread where we're all excited about a -KB proc? I mean, if you don't like it, do you and Bill really have to post about your paranoiac delusions that -KB is evol and will somehow "ruin" an already underperforming Archetype? Can't you just leave it alone? A lot of people are pretty stoked about this. I just wish the Knockback Brigade would leave it alone for once.

Quote:Just go back and read the posts man. I was talking to EG and then you jumped in and made a bunch of stuff up and tried to pin it on me like I said it and then got mad at what you made up.I asked you to explain how exactly it was relevant, and your response was, "It had something to do with the discussion." Yeah. Makes sense.

Quote:That's one perspective. Not one I share but I understand. I am not against it, but I will always remain against those that have tried since I came in I8 to fundamentally change the PB to something other than what it is. -

It had something to do with the discussion, just not what you wanted it to so it could leave an opening for you to argue and start a fight.
-
I think the only time this reaches this level is when you misunderstand something you think I said.
-
The same fundamental change I have always referred too, changing all of the PB's powers to KD instead of KB.
I think if you settle down a bit and re-read what I wrote you would recognize I was never talking about the proc being the fundamental change. -
Quote:Form shifts are instant from human form now that is all as stated. The other deal is just the normal inaccuracy of the rumor mill.I heard rumor that kheldians would be getting 1 or 2 new powers
But not much mor details
I was also going to do a new respec
But if we have a new power or 2 to chose from i will wait
If not then i will respec sooner
So anyone have any more specific rumors? -
Along with Staff fighting this is my most desired fighting set for this game since I started in I8.
-
NO I didn't and if you misunderstood that...no worries but just know that is not what I was talking about when I was talking fundamental change it had NOTHING to do with the proc and never has since that thing is brand new and my position is years old.

Quote:I think you mistake my posts for some opening to rehash superfluous positions of the past...they are not since I have not and will not argue those things that really don't matter in any way I can think of discussing.Yeah... Because Peacebringers, with HARDCAPPED RESISTANCE to everything but Psi, need the quasi mitigation so badly... And even if we assume that's true, and we discount the fact that Luminous Aura is more survivable than the majority of TANKER PRIMARIES, the location and player based AOE from Solar Flare and Photon Seekers is actually more of a detriment to personal survivability than an added form of mitigation, since knockback that can't be reasonably controlled like the other Peacebringer AOE's with KB can be leads to scattered enemies that aren't bunched up for other AOE's and therefore remain more of a threat. This all leads to MORE INCOMING DAMAGE, so the "nerfing mitigation" argument has no legs to stand on at all.
