For me I have been a leader since I was elected to run for class president in the sixth grade.
Every time this topic comes up about people and leadership I feel the same way. Some people are just not "leaders". While most people are in fact "capable" of leading, true "leaders" just step up and lead no prompting needed.
I will never "not" lead where leadership is needed as many have seen me on my 40 50's leading MAG farms to death since the release of I23, but I don't "have" to lead to have good fun.
Leaders are born but "leadership can be learned by anyone. -
Arcana is right about "this" issue and you have a good point about the rabbit hole. It would not matter if the dev team had the "will" to deal with the blaster issues, but it is more than clear they "LACK" the will and that is why nothing is going to be done.

Don't be fooled or jaded by the past mistakes of Hollywood. This is in fact a TOP NOTCH sci-fi thriller that stands on it's own and runs strongly to the finish line.

Quote:You have hit the nail on the head and this keeps getting overlooked by the control "other" people's experience crowd. There are a METRIC TON of other examples where it is clear the devs do in fact support user controlled leveling speed (ie.farming).The Magesterium is so perfectly set up for farming that I have to wonder if the devs didn't do it on purpose. After all, they gave us Death From Below as a way to speed through the early levels that many people were sick of repeating. Since there's currently only one way to unlock Hybrid, they may be ok with people zipping through it initially, with the idea that once they've got the slot unlocked they'll relax and start running the trial "properly".

Bill is always so much better at getting the real point across concerning these kinds of things.

They are going to release another four legged rig pet. This time it's a pink flying pig

Quote:The claims made about Voids/Quantums have no basis in reality since they changed the physical properties of their attacks and the spawning A LONG TIME AGO.Because they still are an issue. They may not be for you, but you're not exactly representative of everybody.
Nor am I. However, many players have expressed concern for how the Kheldians play, and the things I mentioned in my post are things that continue to plague my Kheldians.
Your experience otherwise does not necessarily invalidate my concerns. -
Quote:Of course there are other ways of doing things and many were presented document style to the devs. However, it is pretty clear the power people in that equation are in love with the heavy handed gimmick fest type deal we have going and it has done nothing but go further down that path each trial.I think it's a false dichotomy anyway. Certainly there are other options between "patches of instant death" and "10x as many hitpoints as a normal AV". If the devs truly can't come up with anything other than those two options, maybe we need some more creative devs.

Quote:I would say on freedom the tide is turning and there are just as many people doing the full run as the fast run. And no come Tuesday there won't be any patch because there is no difference in the LAM and MAG except the number of people needed to be defeated on the frontload to move on to the next phase. This really helps sums up my thoughts. Esp. the bolded.
If the hybrid slot unlocked after one run, then it would make sense to run the whole thing, enjoy the trial for each 50 etc etc.
Being asked to run it over and over and over and over and over (5 times right), well might as well do it the easy way.
However, I can the likely result. I won't be surprised come Tuesday there's a patch to stop the wide spread farming.
Rather than holding on until there is varied (trials and solo to 8 person team) content, the next slot will require salvage or doo dads that will only be attained by that single trial.
I think people are not recognizing those frontloaded 250 are in fact there to help the ixp process move a bit faster. It is the only place to get hybrid ixp and nerfing the frontload as was suggested in BETA is not the smartest thing to do in this case.....
At least the devs realized this a while back and did not give in to the voices to nerf "those people's" ixp etc.... -

Fire I agree with you that because of those patches playing melee toons on trials is not anywhere near as fun for me as playing ranged damage/support toons. I get my tiers up and don't bring them back.
As you can see there is a crowd here that will immediately jump you telling you moving for five seconds is not a big deal among other straight up lies as it is not just five seconds etc....
You are not going to get anywhere with individuals like that since they refuse to understand what you were saying in the first place and try to dismiss and minimize it...SOP around here.
Of all the things I hate the most in these trials is those patches. Even more than Malestroms zone wide cheesy gimmick one kick of death. -
Quote:1. No but it can do it.Some background, I'm looking at moving some of my characters to Virtue from Freedom and I am thinking about running a concept only policy for everything based on my main character.
I have an Ill/Rad whom I adore but I was considering re-rolling him on virtue to fit the new concept ideals.
When I look at my current build I don't use many of the rad powerset so I was wondering on a performance basis how they compare.
My main questions are :
1. Will a Ill/Dark solo a GM as easily as an Ill/Rad
2. Does having a Dark Servant make a difference
3. How much will I miss lingering radiation
Many Thanks
2. A difference in - to hit yes
3. It's a style difference for the -regen for dark is in the heal and the revive. Yes, you will miss a one click -regen, but not much. -
Quote:There is no way around this when you have enemies that give ixp like all those extras outside on the LAM that people skip....I'd say this is half the problem right here. I've started this trial 5 times and have yet to complete one because half the team quits after the first phase. Even starting my own doesn't help because they still quit.
That more than the difficulty demonstrates bad design. Don't front load the farmable part. Duh.
They made their bed when they refused to listen to the reasonable requests made during BETA not to have the MAG be the sole source of Hybrid ixp. -
Awesome!

It's like choosing one of the WOMEN in this picture. Can you really go wrong either way? -
Is this thread caught up in some kind of strange Dr. Who like time warp continuum or something?
Or maybe it's people that have not played like in YEARS like thread title says cause the complaints I am seeing are from like 2-5 YEARS ago and don't fit in with the changes made since then. -
Well I like Arbiter Hawk and the way he handles things professionally even when he does not agree and Hitstreak is new and has been cool so they both get a pass from me.

Quote:Right that "use" to happen years ago. The changes made over the years that "most" people even non-Kheld drivers are aware of and to the point where this just does not happen to those of us "playing" Khelds now like it "use" to years past. And I've seen the opposite kind of behavior. Doesn't invalidate your statement anymore than your experience invalidates mine.
Most people are "informed" and just recognize there is no need to do that anymore. Ie. Most teams "like" Khelds now mate. Each statement makes it very clear you have not played yours in YEARS. -
Quote:They no longer have the unresistable health deal and they stun is all. Many things in the game stun and it really is NOTHING to mitigate that threat in large groups since Khelds with no mezz protection do that as SOP anyway.Voids/Quantums still hurt Kheldians, but against non-Kheldians they're nothing special.
I play my PBs a lot; I just unlocked Hybrid on one this morning. Warshades play differently, and I've never gotten the hang of them. But hope springs eternal. I'ma gonna get me a MFing Warshade to 50 before I leave this game, I swear.
WS and PB are really different AT's IMHO. -
Quote:My mileage has nothing to do with the actual changes made to Khelds and to Voids/Quantum powers over the years that basically makes them nothing near the old threat you originally described. The health deal was changed too a long time ago.Still stuns. Still takes a significant amount of health out of the character.
Your mileage may vary, but that's what I encountered.
TBH, you sound like someone that has not played in years and are therefore frankly as uninformed as someone that never played the AT because of how significant the changes have been in terms of gameplay. -
Mate they changed that Void/Quantum stuff YEARS ago. It no longer applies.
Having said that the changes over the years have made playing a Kheldian NOTHING like it use to be in I8 when I came to the game. Sounds like it has been YEARS since you played and you missed all the Kheld buffs most recently last year I21 I think it was. -
