It is time for more variety across ALL of the set IO's.

MA/SR is a wonderful butt kicky type combo that is a ton of fun to play. I don't use that toon to fight AV's I use my DM/SR because they don't resist as well, but I supposed you can do it with MA/SR too.

I don't like temp and vet powers being blacked out for itrial either. The devs appear to have different thoughts on the matter.

I was not dealing with this question. In most cases it is easier to leverage the peak performance from scrappers or brutes since they are pretty much the best at melee. Khelds are not the best performing AT by raw numbers without question. So if all you are after is that I do say go get that.Quote:Originally Posted by EvilGeko

Khelds are excellent but how well they are built and who's is driving them is an important factor, much moreso than any other AT in the game and that is in fact is part of the appeal to many drivers. -

Anyway I stopped testing them right after getting pwnd in Night Ward after some changes. TBH, I cannot for the life of me remember exactly which changes I hated the most and felt made the set not as fun as it was before but that is not important IMHO.
The set is still ok, but just not something I would play.
In the end what I think matters not, what the majority of people that are going to pay for the set think is and they seem to like it as is, just like Beam and Beast Mastery. -

While there have been balance adjustments/nerfs within the set, some that I did not like at all, I would not say the set itself has been nerfed into oblivion. It is ok. -

Not exactly. You have to keep in mind the slots are for ALL of your toons on that account and how easy it makes it for the person with an active account and a lot of alts.

And then you post the above? Which is it, you what every set looked at and tweaked..or you want nothing 'old' touched at all? And yes..I KNOW you said you dont like gimmicks..I understand some people dont, but everything I suggested, and most of the ideas in THIS thread, would involve no change at all in playstyle..or a change for the better.
This thread has turned out to be yet another make the AT or powerset do what "I" want it to do vs a review seeking more balance across the sets. Typical. -

You are correct, I misread your post and my memory inserted the word "Thank". My sincerest apologies. You're still strongly implying that it was nerfed horribly, which it was not.
And you're certainly entitled to the opinion that the set is below-average to average, but the fact that a lvl 44 Bio tank with nothing more than level 35 Common IOs can stand in the middle of a +4/x8 CoT group and stop to do its taxes while it waits for them to do anything impactful would argue much to the contrary. That's far above average. -

Darth, this post right here is in direct contrast to your latest post in this thread. "Nerfed into oblivion" does not mean "okay" in any sense of the word. While you may not have said that we can thank her for it, there is really little reason to call her out specifically unless that is what you meant to say.
Edit -> And if you're saying that we're reading that into your post, then you are also reading into your own post that she would know the current state of the set, because you also didn't say that.
There were in fact "portions" of the set that were heavily nerfed which is what each of my quoted comments were dealing with and not the set on the whole. When commenting on the set on the whole is where you see the comment "ok".
I already said that the original post was not as clear as I wanted it to be and then made it clear, so there is no gotcha in pointing out something I already acknowledged several posts ago.... -

I stand by each and every statement I have made including the one where I said the current state of the set is "ok" and that many would like it. It is obviously not going to be anything more than slightly below average to average and while I was looking for more from this paid set than that, the majority of people are fine with it as is and that is more than fine with me. -
