    But to say the devs did not foresee people making all AV, EB, Boss, Lt, Minion mission when Castle's mission was all AV's, is silly.
  4. I think it is less than forthright for the devs to add this "fix" then hide and make no comment when the feedback thread indicates a serious problem with the "fix".

  8. You will only be able to "add" powers to CC's. Yes, this is not good or helpful in any way whatsoever since on standard they already have too many powers.

    Do you have a direct quote from someone that actually said this mate? It seems to me that you just made it up to try to prove a non-exsistent point about the mythical farmer with a tude.

    Thats rich when the title of the thread makes on wonder if this entire thread was a troll thread.

    MA Arc Finder is the channel in game. Here on the board in the stories and lore section are listings of more story based arcs than you will be able to run in a year.

    If you are talking about getting "teams" to run "story" arcs in AE you are probably better off making your own story arc teams. Most of the teams in AE LFM are farms and that won't be changing anytime soon.

    Which is why customs should offer more for the extra time. The rest of the post is a lot of speculation, which is fine.

    You do realize that you can use PvE critters in MA right? Using PvE critters instead of custom blows that theory out of the water.

    In the end as I stated the devs have decided not to give the fair amount of increased reward for the increase in time it takes to defeat a tougher foe, no problem. Trying to spin that into a comfortable spot to make people "think" thats fair/balanced lacks sound rationale.

  15. Custom critters using the players damage scale are in fact more difficult and time consuming than facing PvE critters, no real way to dispute the math involved here.

    You do realize those crowds you spoke about were dealing with new/shiny AND the others were using a "PvE" outlier to farm. Once that was gone the crowds decreased quite a bit.

    In the end the devs will not increase the reward for the increase in time/risk it takes to deal with custom critters made more powerful via the ever growing list of standard powers given to custom critters. That is their choice.

    Its a stretch at best to say that customs and PvE are on the same level therefore the reward should be the same when that defies the reality and math showing its not.

    I agree. I think however, that the Devs get to definie what is considered non exploitive farming, not the playerbase. Agreed?

    Yeah they do as a team not as one dev going off on a rant, then having to comeback and recant the majority of what was conveyed in the original rant.
  17. I am more than sure that for this issue like others there is a wide spectrum. He is at the point that not only does he want what I have, but he takes it a step further too, because he can't have it now, he doesn't want anyone else to have it now subconciously. He is not alone in being at that point on the spectrum.

    I had to laugh a bit at the entire kill the game and jealousy. People are full of envy and jealousy and there really is not much that can be done about that.

    I don't think that any form of non exploitive farming has any chance of ruining this game and it is one of the driving forces that keep re-subs each month.

    Having experienced a large dose of RL jealosuy/envy I have zero tolerace for it in this arena. This is the principle reason I basically tell anyone trying to control what I do to pound sand as I know the origin of that kind of thought process, even if they don't.

    Thats the main injustice of the entire Posi unleashed post. He was clearly out of the box on his own so to speak in that first letter full of thinly disguised empty threats and placation rants for those expressing strong anti-farmer views.

    To me the worst of the worst ALWAYS meant the 1-50 in 1 hour bloke that posted pictures, Saved mission Comm Officer exploiters and RMT'ers that break every rule in the book. To me this NEVER meant ANYONE doing the normal farms like BM and TV OR the people doing any farm in MA from all AV down to minions.

    People that farmed non exploit MA missions and the standard PvE farms continued doing what they do. People new to farming and the non-powergamers were nervous and may have stopped any kind of farming from the sewers to MA out of fear, overreation.

    People that are anti-farm took it to mean their position against any farming was supported and that the devs feel that all farming should end, overreaction.

    In the end the bottom line is worst of the worst never meant every person that farms in COX.

    People do. What people you might ask. People that have a strange desire to control and lord over what other people can or cannot do. That number is larger than most people think due to the ability of people that feel this way to hide it in plain sight.

    I had an SG mate breakdown and admit that part of his anti-farmer position was irrationally based on his emotional feeling over people getting lewt he did not have. His RL obilgations prevents him from playing for large blocks of time and he misses a lot of TF opportunites. I thanked him for admitting something that was "obvious".

    Some people just feel that it is within their right to control you or at the very least will make a strong effort in trying to do same.

    Afterall, human bondage was the global practice for milennia.

    It’s true that they added a ranged attack without increasing the reward. However, this was to compensate for the fact it was possible to hover above the critters and blast them with zero risk.

    My assessment is that adding a ranged attack made the critters more difficult, but still well within the range of risk/reward offered in the rest of the game. And I’ve already given my list of all the things I like better about MA missions.

    I really don't need any rehash of devs spin as to why they added a ranged attack. I have stated more than a few times the ranged attack from the Battle Maidens troops is what the attack should be.

    In addition, its not just the overpowered ranged attack that is on the players damage scale its all of the attacks including the "additonal" group of attacks they "added" to standard that is at issue here.

    You can think PvE critters damage scale vs players damage scale is within the same time/risk reward spectrum but you would be pretty lonely in that assesment.

  22. That entire first part is a red herring.

    The real issue being discussed in my post is the overpowered ranged attack "added" when the critters were already harder which people enjoyed by the way. In additon to the fact that for this increase in time/risk the reward is the same which nobody in there right mind thinks is somehow equal/fair.

    The suggestion of making that ranged attack equal to the other PvE critters ranged attack ala Battle Maidens troops is what would help fix this issue. The increased reward was nothing more than a dream aloud as I stated originally they will not do it for whatever reason they decide.
